broadcast intro and action
Who: Veronica
Broadcast: open network
Action: Iskaulit and Blue Fish
When: network - friday. action - saturday
Broadcast / Action to anyone on the Marsiva
[Veronica wakes with a distinct feeling of wrongness. The camera zooms in as blue eyes open, a frown already on her face. She sits up slowly, the covers falling off and pooling at her hips to reveal she's in standard Garrison uniform, the typical attire of an officer. Rubbing at her face, she looks to the side to spot her glasses and quickly jams them on.
Her frown deepens.] Where...am I...?
[Veronica slides out of bed, to find her shoes tucked neatly beside the bed. Frowning at them, she goes barefoot for now, instead running down the hallway and feeling cold metal under her feet.]
Hello? Is anyone there?
Action - Iskaulit & Blue Fish
[Veronica can be found wandering the Iskaulit and the S.S. Blue Fish restlessly. She's a hot mess of emotions, unsure how to deal with everything that is going on right now, and her first priority is just to become familiar with her surroundings. Most everything she would be interested in is on the Iskaulit, it seems, so this is where she starts.
She'll most often be pacing, but if you're lucky, you might catch her frowning and poking at her communicator, trying to make it function in some way like what she's used to. She wants more information, maybe this can help.]

Also? She's in space now. That's also a handful to comprehend.
She spots the dog(??) before noticing who its attached to, her eyes widening in surprise and shock. It's sort of like Kosmo, only...not at all. It's another surprise for Takashi Shirogane to be the one walking it, and she just sort of blinks for a moment before snapping to attention.]
Captain Shirogane, sir! It's a pleasure to see you.

He offers a nod and a smile, and he waves his hand to indicate "at ease". Lance must've told her he's captain here, huh?]
Hey, this isn't the Garrison. No need for formalities, just Shiro is fine. Have you settled down ok?
no subject
Well enough, sir. Sorry, I mean, Shiro. It's good to be with Lance again, but I worry about home.
no subject
That's Procyon - it's ok, he won't hurt you. He's my dog. [Purple alien dog of furry cuteness, accept him in your life! ...aaaand there goes the "sir" again. When she mentions her brother and home, he remembers what Lance told him about the time difference, and Shiro bitterly wonders if the Garrison has ranked him up for "death in service". He wouldn't be surprised.] I'm glad you two are reunited too, circumstances aside. I know he's missed his family a lot.
[His face falls a bit at the mention of home. He nods.] Trust me, we get it. We all worry about home. If it helps, times stops there while we're here. We've come and gone back multiple times by now.

Hi Procyon, I'm Veronica.
[she can't help it. He's so fluffy! Veronica straightens back up and nods at Shiro, her arms folding across her chest almost instinctively, expecting her tablet to be there. Embarrassingly enough, it feels like a part of her that's missing right now.]
Lance said something like that. It's still...difficult to really understand, though. That time passes here, but not there? It shouldn't be possible.

Whatever magic or technology they use sends us back to the point in time they took us from. But I don't know why those points in time change among us - for the sake of drama and ratings, most likely, but their logic is still incomprehensible some times. As I said, they send us back to get some extra time some times, before taking us again. You'd think they'd like to keep those differences for the drama.
[He just doesn't understand Atroma some times.]

How long have people like us been out here? On this..show or whatever? It seems like we don't know very much.

What do we...do, sir? [Whoops, there she goes again.]

Baby steps. [Veronica lets out a soft sigh, then nods.] I suppose we have to start from somewhere.
no subject
[Except he isn't feeling very patient right now, because those words she's said won't leave his mind. From how long into the future is she? Because-- he shouldn't ask. And yet...]
What do you mean "old habits"? [Yeah, ok, he's weak. Sue him.]
no subject
She shifts uncomfortably.]
Just that...on Earth, when you get there, you're Captain Shiro.
no subject
Wait.
What?
Shiro can't help staring.] ...Captain?
[Sorry, he's in shock right now.]
