The Ceremony

[Heat has been set up for the guests at the wedding of Biffy and Lyall. After all, it’s an outdoor wedding with the snow around them. Which allows the guests to appreciate the beauty of what has been created. A beautiful archway with elegant white flowers that are tied on with blue ribbon. It’s simple but there’s a beauty in that which works for both grooms.

Shiro stands under it, ready to marry the grooms who also stand there, looking across at each other. It’s so clear they’re in love with each other. Just the way they look at each other says as much. And oh what a handsome pair they make with Biffy in a blue suit and grey cravat and Lyall in a grey suit and blue cravat. Ever the fashionable pair, even at their wedding. Perhaps especially at their wedding. And with that, Shiro begins speaking.]

We are gathered together on this day to witness and celebrate the marriage of Randolph and Sandalio.

There's a lot to be said about joining two lives in the union of marriage - but these two men right here have committed to each other in a way a human like me will never fully comprehend but still can watch with the most admiring respect. The past months, I've watched you be each other's support, strength and best friend; to be alpha and beta in a perfect combination of roles that reflects who you are, but also simply two people that came together and found each other through the endless passing of immortal time.

Papers and words will never make justice to what you've been through and achieved together, and yet I'm extremely joyful that this ceremony is being celebrated. We come together not to mark the start of a marriage, but to strengthen one that already exists. Your relationship is yours and only yours, but at the same time, you want the world to acknowledge it, to share it with other important people, to be able to shout "yes, we're together!". It's the greatest honor to be able to give you that. And I'm sure that after seven or eight centuries together back on Earth, you'll be ready to do it again when the world finally understands it. Because yes, you'll still be together by then.

[Hand gesture to indicate both of them.]

It's time for the the grooms to exchange vows.

[Lyall turns towards Biffy, taking both of his hands in his and looking up at him. He’s had a hard time coming up with words he was happy with, but he’s rather happy with what he ended up putting together.]

Many things happened to lead us here. Some of them were unexpected. Many of them were sad. I worried about you for a long time, and I know you too were worried about yourself and finding your path on this road you never wanted to tread. I tried to guide your way through it as well as I could, and before I even noticed, you were the one walking ahead and opening the path for me.

I've always known you to be kind, loyal and dedicated. I've seen how powerful you are, and how you use that power to raise other people around you and not bring them down. You saw me at my lowest and yet you stayed by my side, shed tears for me when I couldn't do it myself, and made me feel safe, and warm and protected even when I believed I would never know such a feeling again.

I know I will not always be what you want me to be. I might not always agree, and I might be stubborn but I will always strive to be the man you believe I can be, because with you I am more than myself.

[Biffy smiles throughout and then laughs softly before touching Lyall’s face. It’s his turn now.]

There was a time in my life where I was lost. I was unsure of where I was going or what would become of me. During that time I was lost to darkness I thought I would remain trapped in for eternity. Until a warm glow guided me out of it.

You complete me in a way no one else ever has. I feel whole when I am with you. The world is clear and I know I can do anything when you are with me. For me it is more than just the tether I share with you but rather the feelings that we share. Sometimes I feel that words could never fully express exactly how happy you make me feel each and every day that we share together.

You are more than my Beta, Professor Randolph Lyall. You are my mate, my rock, my missing piece. I love you more than words will ever hope to express. So it is on this day I am honored to marry my greatest treasure and the only gift I could ever ask for on Christmas.

[Lyall thought he was done with blushing whenever Biffy speaks about him… apparently not so, even though it is less spectacular than it used to be. He still lowers his eyes for a second, swallowing around the lump in his throat before he looks back up. And with that, Shiro speaks again.]

May we have the rings, please? [Procyon prances up and Biffy grins at the dog as he takes the rings from him, giving one to Lyall.] Sandalio, do you come here freely and without reservation to give yourself to Randolph in marriage? [He murmurs his confirmation and slides the ring on Lyall’s finger.] Randolph, do you come here freely and without reservation to give yourself to Sandalio in marriage? [He also murmurs his confirmation and slides the ring onto Biffy’s finger.] And so now by the power vested in me, it is my honor and delight to declare you husband and husband. You may seal this declaration with a kiss. Congratulations.

[The kiss they share is brief but so full of the love they share for each other. And with that, they are now married. It’s time to celebrate them.]

The Reception

[The reception for the werewolf wedding is something to behold. You don't have to worry though, it's indoors. That means it's plenty warm for the beautifully decorated space. All of which is in blue and silver as per the wedding colors decided by the grooms (aka this was Biffy's idea). There is plenty of time for mingling now and either delivering gifts to the gift table or visiting with the grooms.

Should wish to there is a dance floor with music selections approved of by the grooms (again...Biffy) for the evening. But don't worry, they've been good enough to allow for selections that aren't strictly classic to allow for people of other eras to have their fun too. So break a leg on the dance floor and show everyone what a good time there is to be had there. Especially if you've had a few drinks.

After all, there is alcohol here. And it's free. But try not to get too full on it. Because Taako and Lup have provided a twelve course menu for supper. The food is sure to be something you'll be talking about for ages to come. Please do enjoy every last morsel of it. You are sure to leave full and very satisfied by the time the sun rises. (This is a wedding held entirely at night so hope you're ready to party into the morning!)

So relax and enjoy yourselves. But don't be surprised if at some point the grooms vanish during the evening only to reappear and spend the rest of the night mingling as wolves. You are at a werewolf wedding, you know.]

[This is a day Biffy never thought that he would see from the first moment he realized he was only interested in men. And yet here he is, a happily married man with a husband. To say he can't stop smiling would be an understatement. He's positively beaming as he speaks to people around him.

Most often he's found near Lyall at the table for the grooms. It almost seems as if they can't stop touching each other. Fixing hair, hands brushing hands, leaning close to rest foreheads together... Really it's about as intimate as possible without them getting a room for more. But he can hardly help how he just wants to keep touching his mate and husband. He loves him so much.

But don't worry, you can catch him on his own (if you don't mind that he's hyper aware of where Lyall is at all times and keeps looking his way). He mingles about to talk to his guests and make sure everyone is comfortable and happy. Sometimes he even has an extra glass of wine to share so he can be sure everyone has something to drink.

Of course towards the end he will vanish be missing for a time. When he comes back he will be chocolate wolf that happens to have markings on his chest that look remarkably like a cravat. He won't be changing back at this point but he will still mingle about. So perhaps you might catch a nose to your hand in passing or something. But honestly he swears he is not for petting. Please don't make his new husband have to come nose your hand away.]

[Well, finally the day was here. Lord Akeldama was definitely ready and had made everything was set out the night before in order to be dressed perfectly as quickly as possible. Why? Because he had a stop to make and he wasn't going to do anything half way.

Wearing a muted blue coat over his clothes to hide the actual colors for the moment - even forgoing with his hat to keep it a complete surprise - he headed to the Blameless.

It's not like he was actually going to be able to surprise Biffy. He knew werewolf smell was incredible and likely the moment he stepped onto the ship, Biffy and Lyall would both know he was there. But they didn't know he had planned on coming this evening before their wedding, partially because it was rude for a vampire to call without an invitation, let alone call on a werewolf pack.

The ship seemed to be a bit of chaos at the moment, what with the two grooms, one guest, and the officiant all in close quarters. It worked better for Lord Akeldama because he was less likely to be noticed by others. It might work to his advantage, others thinking he had been asked to come. He headed straight down the hall to where Biffy's room was, figuring that's where he'd find the werewolf]

<sub>[ Kirk had come to the ceremony dressed in his formal grays. In all his time in Drift Fleet, in all his time of owning this particular suit, he had worn it only once before - his little fashion show for Biffy, to cheer him up when he first arrived. It usually remained tucked inside his closet, secure within a garment bag, fiercely protected.

But this - this was worth bringing it out. This was worth dressing in his absolute best, because his friends expected it, because they deserved it. He did not cry during the vows, though perhaps his eyes grew a touch wet. He would never admit it, though he found it all quite moving.

He smiled when the mingling brought him to Biffy, raising his glass in salute to his friend. ]</sub>

Marriage looks good on you, Biffy.

[Lyall's joy is a bit more muted than Biffy, but still clearly visible on his face.

When he and Biffy are together, he's constantly touching him - and sniffing him - and when they are on opposite sides of the room he keeps stealing glances towards him.

The ceremony and celebrations were all orchestrated by Biffy and it looks like he got exactly what he wanted, which is good. While maybe a little less of a social butterfly than Biffy, Lyall will still have a good time mingling and talking to people.

But just like Biffy, he too will disappear at some point, and a sandy-colored wolf with a spattering of dark hair going from the tip of his nose to his tail will trot back in and weave in and out of the crowd.]

[Biffy comes over to his new husband with drinks in hand after mingling a little. Smiling fondly at him, he hands one of the glasses of wine over to him before threading his fingers with Lyall's. A gentle squeeze and he looks out at the people who have gathered. For them.]

This is beautiful. The people in this fleet truly do know how to make you feel loved and wanted.

_{[ Somehow, the path of the mingling brought he gray, formal clad Kirk into Lyall's space. He smiled at the sandy haired man, giving him a little nudge with his shoulder. ]}

You worried for nothing. Your vows were great.

((ooc: Shiro is wearing this. This is his dog, Procyon the ring bearer, and he's wearing this. His plus one is Allura.))

1. Before the ceremony

[Weddings have become something important to Shiro, he's realizing now. First Lunafreya and her second chance at life, whose memory still makes his heart ache - she chose him to walk her even before becoming captain. Then the news from home about his ex - the wedding that never was. And now Biffy and Lyall, doing here what they can't do at home, which makes it such an honor to be chosen for it.

Nothing can go wrong.

He isn't in the organization group, not exactly - he's talked about a few things with Biffy, but most of the stuff is in the hands of Lance. But this is Shiro, who likes stomping leadership everywhere, and already had a big scare when the werewolves disappeared. He knew they would come back, but would it be in time for the wedding? Thankfully, yes, it would, but still. Worry! So he goes from corner to corner checking everything is in the right place and ready to go.

You can find him: a) guiding you to you seat; b) telling you "watch out!" when you almost trip over a ribbon or "careful with that" when someone pokes a decoration; c) practicing his speech and his dog's walk to the archway. He's memorized it for the actual ceremony, but at the moment he's going over the cards he's made to guide him.] I hope it's not too long...

2. The reception

[Shiro is mingling all over the place! The grin won't leave his face, it's obvious how good his mood is. Come and have fun with him!

a) He respects the first dance, but after that, it's free to go. So if you're someone he likes and aren't on the dance floor, he'll approach you with a smile, bowing and offering his metal hand like the gentleman he is.] May I have this dance?

[b) Prompto has been hired for photography, but that won't stop Shiro from wanting selfies for his own memories. So if you are friend, don't be surprised when he puts an arm around you and raises his tablet for a pic.] Smile for the camera, buddy.

[c) When dinner starts and wine is served, Shiro doesn't waste time and stands up raising his glass.] To Biffy and Lyall! May your marriage be blessed with love, joy and happiness.

[He drinks some during dinner, but he doesn't get drunk, he can control himself. Besides, he's a big guy, it takes quite a bit of alcohol to get to his head. And the food is so good, he's trying out every course. Yes, all of them. Shiro is far from a foodie, but he needs the calories for his beef, ok... feel free to tease him for it.]

[Keith actually did manage a smile for the picture. He then gave Shiro a light, playful shove to get some space once the picture was taken.]

You and your pictures, man.

[He chuckled, though, a little less grumpy about it than last time.]

[Once the meal is mostly done with and people are just having fun mingling, Lyall will somehow pull himself from Biffy's side for a little while to approach their officiant.]

Thank you very much, Captain. That was a very touching speech.

Before the ceremony

[He smiles as he catches Shiro practicing his speech. Again. Laughing softly, he walks up to him and reaches up to rest a hand on his shoulder.]

You'll spoil the surprise of what the speech is if you keep this up. Lyall and I have very good hearing.

Reception - A! Because this needs to happen

[Ulaz had been hanging around near the dance floor. Not like he was hiding or anything, if nothing else because he was terrible at hiding among humans. He hadn't attempted dancing quite yet, but then...]

<sub>[ Kirk has chosen to wear his formal uniform. It was possibly a touch sombre, but he only wore it on the most special of occasions for the most special of reasons, and this surely counted. Plus, it was also the safe choice considering Biffy and Lyall's attention to fashion detail.

He set his glass aside when Shiro asked, grandly taking that metal hand like it was the most natural thing in the world and stepping right in, wrapping his arm around Shiro's shoulder. ]</sub>

Why, sir, I thought you would never ask.

Lance | Open!

[Contrary to what might be popular belief, Lance doesn't cry at every wedding he goes to.

He just cries at most. And this one definitely more than falls into "most". He watches the ceremony with awe, holding Keith's hand in a near deathgrip, and they're not even done with the vows when he feels tears slipping down his face. When Shiro pronounces Biffy and Lyall husband and husband, no one cheers and applauds as loudly as Lance does.

Lance needs to take a few minutes to compose himself after the ceremony and before the reception starts. Making sure he looks as perfect as he can and his face is splotch-free, the paladin makes his way back to the others.

Organizing this wedding had been hard work, but it's paid off spectacularly. Lance flits about during the reception in his dark blue suit, making sure everything is going according to plan. Social as ever, he interacts with anyone and everyone. Whether it be dancing, drinking, eating, taking some pictures of his own, or whatever else, he barely stays still. It's clear he's absolutely soaking up the energy and vibes of this all.

[At one point during the reception, Keith managed to slip away from Lance. He'd been purposefully whining about the grip on his hand through the entire ceremony, complaining that it hurt, and now he'd gotten an idea. He went over to the bar, and got some ice in a small bag, then went back to their table. He sat down, and waited for Lance to start heading back over to the table before he put the ice on his hand like it hurt.

Deathgrip, huh? He was probably going to get in trouble for this, but it would be worth it.]

[Sorry if you end up jumping out of your skin when Lyall approaches you, Lance, he can be very silent and well, there's music and conversation going around, but he still wanted to talk to you.]

Thank you very much for helping Biffy with the decoration, Lance. This all looks beautiful.

[At one point the grooms vanished from the reception. Now that they're back they're wolves. They could change back and get dressed again by why do that when everyone is here to love them just as they are? They're werewolves. This is part of their nature.

So he's a little damp from a run in the snow but it's definitely Biffy as he comes trotting through the crowd to come up and hop into a chair next to where Lance is sitting. A little chuff and he nods.

Hello. He's happy to see you again, Lance.]

[When Lance is taking a selfie, Shiro decided to photobomb, putting his hands on his friend's shoulders and smiling for the camera, head above. Hooray for that height difference.]

Remy, aka, a +1

[It’s been a long time since Remy had been to a wedding, his own in fact, but he was happy to be there as Jim’s plus one. Firstly because while he didn’t know Lyall really at all, he and Biffy did look very happy and it was always nice to have some good news and reason to celebrate on the Fleet. Secondarily, it was always a nice excuse to get to dress up and do something a bit more formal now and then. Which he did, splashing out on a lovely suit, gold cufflinks and a card themed tie pin, and styling his hair up into that pomade that Biffy had convinced him to try out.

After the ceremony itself, Remy is behaving himself during the reception, not drinking too much of that free alcohol and politely mingling with the other guest. While he is seated next to Jim for the meal, you can absolutely bet he will be on the dance floor during the night, either if asked to dance, or if he is the one doing the asking.]

[Of course he recognizes Remy. Well, honestly he smells that pomade first and foremost. Turning, he smiles at him before moving closer so he can greet him properly.]

[He hasn't had the chance to see them together but he can smell Kirk all over him.]

Besides, Remy would make a nice contrast to his own more sombr attire, though the military formality lifted it some. He had sat with him during the ceremony, quietly holding Remy's hand, his thumb stroking along the back. When it came time for the reception, he had parted ways briefly with his lover to let them each mingle, but he naturally found his way back to him.

And here, finally, his resistance gave and he reached up to run his fingers through the pomade. Once. Twice. Three times. Four again. ]</sub>

Kogarasumaru aka Ulaz's +1

[He's quite amazed to go a modern wedding, very pleased to have been asked by Ulaz. So he's put on his battle attire since it's by far the most formal thing he has. It means he stands out by wearing something so different but he doesn't appear to mind. Instead he has quite a bit of fun himself watching these two men in love before mingling with the guests at the reception.

The food is delicious and he can be found eating portions of it before sneaking the rest onto Ulaz's plate. What? Ulaz is like twice his size. He needs more food obviously.

The rest of the time he can be found on the dance floor. You are welcome to be his partner. Just please note he's very small in height. Most people in this fleet are easily going to be taller than his 5'1". But he'll never say no to company.]

[Ulaz had been happy yo invite Kogarasumaru to come with him to the event. The sword had become like a family member and that's what one did right? Invite family to events.

Of course Kogarasumaru may have been trying to be discreet, passing Ulaz the rest of his food. And to others he may have been, but Ulaz did notice that the amount of food on his plate increased when he wasn't looking. It really could only be one person]

[He does indeed stand out, if only because his colors are very different from everyone else's yet strangely fetching. And while he does look pretty young, the smell is making Lyall's senses sort of go haywire. Metal and blood and... old. Whoever this is, they are definitely not human even though their body is, but Lyall would be hard -pressed to say what it is they are.

Excuse him for staring a little, he's intrigued and hasn't yet found the right time to come and be introduced.]

[Ulaz really had been honored that Biffy and Lyall had invited him to their wedding. He had enjoyed getting to know them and now he had the opportunity to be there when they got married.

Ulaz spent his time mingling during the reception wandering and talking to others. The food was good of course. On his own, he wouldn't pick dancing, but if someone were to ask him, he would.

Later in the evening, when the two grooms disappeared for a bit, Ulaz happened to come across the suits that they had been wearing at the ceremony and for the early part of the reception folded near one of the exits to the building. Clearly the werewolves had decided to depart for a bit.

Of course he didn't want to anything to happen to the clothing so he took them to another room so that when they did return and should they decide to change back, they had the privacy to dress again]

[Lord Akeldama loved a party. There was really no other thing to say about it. He loved anything and everything party.

Of course the big softie that he truly was, he cried during Biffy's wedding ceremony, just so happy for Biffy and Lyall that they were finding people they truly loved and that here they were able to show it. Back home, it would have been tolerated at best, not proclaimed so openly.

After that he mingled with guests at the reception, flitting like an enthusiastic butterfly. He was good at that... socializing and flitting. He did of course HAVE to spend time with Veronica. She was his date for the evening and they had both worked so hard to coordinate that the effect simply would have been lost when they were too far apart.

Dancing. Also the dancing. His dancing was very formal, but if someone were to ask, he would accept and in the spirit of this wedding, he would accept any possible partner.

At the meal, others would likely noticed he only sampled each course or did not partake at all. Other than that he did enjoy some of the wine. Champagne was more his forte, but he was a guest and he would enjoy what was offered]

[Of course he has noticed the colorful personality from afar. He's quite fascinating in how he moves and Kogarasumaru ends up admiring him a little from where he sits until he decides to go speak to the man. Perhaps it's the crow in his nature but he can be quite drawn to something shiny things. And this man is very shiny.

He bows his head politely as he smiles at him, noticeably shorter (and yes he isn't wearing shoes) and with that unique hairstyle.]
