[Accidental video post]
[There's a bunch of noise and static before people see a cat paw clawing at the screen and a curious meow coming from it. Eventually the screen becomes less blurry as they see an up close view of an orange tabby kitten trying to chew the top corner of the data pad.
There's some noise in the background of someone taking apart a heavy metal piece. That quickly stops and there's some clanking as tools are placed down and a wary sigh follows.]
Millicent! What did I say about leaving that alone?! You have your own toys to play with.
[The feed is abruptly turned off as a gloved hand picks up the orange tabby and pockets the device.]

Hello again, cat. And hello Hux.
Video
[Hux appears on screen confused by the statement. Then after a few seconds he realized that the cat had turned on his device while playing with it. He gave a wary sigh.]
I apologize for that. I didn't know Millie had gotten a hold of my data pad while I was working.

She's an inquisitive creature. Needs to investigate everything and loves to knock down everything when given a chance. I think she was upset because I wasn't given her the attention she wanted--which always seems to be when I'm working.
Video
I see. Interesting how they are. She wants your attention so she is going to get it one way or another even if it means knocking things down.

What an adorable cat! And such a fabulous name!

[It took a second for Hux to remember who this person was. He was the one he helped who wore very bright colored clothing. The clothing he wore today helped prove his statement.]
I apologize for the intrusion that Millicent has caused. I've never owned a pet....nor am I familiar with her species.

You haven't? Well, my dear, that is a cat. A house cat to be precise. Usually independent, but can be quite demanding when they feel it is right. I have been the caretaker to several in my considerable lifetime. The latest, Madame Pudgemuffin, is sadly not here with me.

Yes, I am learning that much. She had successfully knocked down the majority of the tools with in her reach to get my attention. The cat is quite common where you are from?

Steve means to text but hits video instead. His surprised face fills the screen for a second before he laughs it off]
Sorry, sir. I meant to ask about us having animals on board. That cat is swell. Bet she hates the warm milk though.

It would seem that we are allowed to. Our Captain has an animal companion as well that wanders freely around the ship. I'm aware that people from the other ships have ones too.

I'm not sure what the Captain has but that cat sure is adorable. Back when I was a kid, there were all sorts of stray cats in the alleys at home. I woulda kept one if I wasn't allergic.
Do you have food for her?
no subject
You are more then welcome to stop by and see her if you wish...only would it hurt you with you being allergic?

It's been a long time since I had a cat. How long have you had that one?

[As he's speaking she's currently climbing all over him like a tree. Hux appeared to be a mix of annoyance and amusement, but he's not making a big effort of getting her to stop either.]
Are they always this active?

Cat trouble?
video
[As Hux is responding to Keith's comment the kitten is currently sitting on his shoulder and gave a chirp and batted at the data pad, causing the screen to shake a bit.]
Re: video
I never really had a pet as a kid, so having one here was an experience, too. Cats can be... wily.

The wolf was your first pet?

Nice cat. And a very interesting name. 'Millicent' says a lot about who you are as a person.
Do explain what you feel it means in regard to me as a person.
[He waves his hand vaguely and desk objects begin to float around the field of vision of the feed. A ceramic mug and several pens go by in lazy circles.]
On top of that, I think Millicent is a name that comes from a family of words based around the idea of working. A cat who works as hard as a mill. Or perhaps you're the one who works hard and the name is ultimately ironic.
[Millicent tries to bat at the moving objects on the screen, causing everything to shake.. Hux sighs and tried to get her to stop, but eventually gives up. He's finding it hard to tell her no to alot of things that would have been different if it was an actual person.]
You're teasing the cat.
