[Gently, he pushes her against the bed, body settling over hers, weight on his elbows.]

[Once she's settled comfortably, Jove reaches up to trace the line of Cullen's jaw.]

You'll have to be incredibly persuasive, the Dalish take our relationship with the halla very seriously.

[He tips his head to kiss her fingertips.]

Are you sure that's what you want?

I think it's more a question of what you're willing to do for all my precious halla knowledge.

[She makes a big show of considering, her arms looping around his neck as she thinks.]

What would be worth allowing a shemlen to use one of the few remaining connections to the lost past of the elvhen...

[Now she's just giving him a hard time.]

[She sighs heavily, pretending to be terribly put out.]

[How dare you ask questions while trying to distract, Cullen. It isn't working very well, she just smiles at him and leans into his touch.]

We don't ride them either, so no making up any elven heroes charging into battle on their mighty halla steed.

Then what do you actually do with these halla?

We dance naked under the light of the moon and then pray to them, of course.

[She says it with a completely straight face, too.]

[Did his ears turn a little pink? Perhaps. Cullen chuckles and kisses her nose.]

Lucky halla.

[Except he doesn't kiss her nose because she intercepts him, catching him in a quick kiss before she can get to her nose at all.]

You think so, do you? Perhaps you'd be allowed to observe next time if it's for the sake of learning more about Dalish culture.

I'd like that. [He presses some more of his weight against her.] I'd like to learn all I can.

[Her breath catches when he does it, but Jove does her best not to acknowledge it.]

And why is that?

Isn't it obvious? I want to know more about you. Your life, your culture.

[dawnwillcome]

[Now it's her turn to go a little red. She's a bit surprised by how earnest he is with the request, but it means a lot to her. She cups his cheek gently as she looks up at him, suddenly feeling a need to show as much affection as possible.]

That isn't a short conversation, you know. If you have any specific questions it may go faster.

[He rubs his scruffy cheek against her palm.]

I know. Maybe I want a long conversation. Maybe I want to hear everything.

[dawnwillcome]

Maybe you should let me sit up, in that case.

[Unless he's wanting to have all their conversations with him on top of her.]

Do you... want to sit up?

[No, please. Tell him. He's enjoying this, but he can sit up, too!]

[She laughs lightly at that, because while he may genuinely mean it she's assuming that's his way of saying he'd rather not let her move.]

I could do it on my back if that's what you'd prefer.

[She'll just let that sink in a little before moving on.]
