Sweet dreams are made of these...
( for A-M characters )
Before you post your topcomment, please:
1. Check the first letter of your character's name as its written in our tags. A-M names comment here, and N-Z names go to the other post.
2. Make a note in your topcomment if anything especially triggering or graphic might show up in the Calibration. If you're not sure if something's worth noting or not, we suggest listing it anyway, just to err on the side of caution.
3. Put your character's name (it can be shortened or different from the tag, this time) in the subject of your comment. This will help visitors find you easily, and help us update the list below.
4. Post your comment! It's fine if everyone's Calibrations end up looking and reading very different from one another. As long as you're having fun and following our guidelines, you're good to go. :)
5. If you have any questions or concerns during Calibrations, you are welcome to send them towards the mod team at any time, as always.
Mordin Solus
In the first half, there are long benches and tables in a lab, delicate laboratory equipment and tubes filled with fluid growing tissue and organ samples. Small fetal aliens float in tubes of bright yellow fluid.
Looking toward the back of the room, there is an area being overtaken by vegetation. Carefully shaped plants, as this is clearly a garden, creep over the metal flooring, vines breaking open the steel of the walls and floors. Among the plants are large eggs, gently and carefully tucked in nests among the plants.
And yet, over it all, there's the sound of a program being played on a screen on the opposite end of the room as the garden. It's Mordin, the salarian scientist, his voice a little tinny through the speakers as he sings:
"Glycine, Valine, Leucine, Isolucine, Alanine!
They all are aliphatic,
So you will not see a ring!
The lone human amino acid
with one is Proline!
From protein we are formed!"]
There is a tray in the lab area with a sample being dissected, a tree in the garden bearing rotting fruit save for one pristine apple and a small console in front of the screen where Mordin is being broadcast.
((Warnings here for dead aliens in the lab and garden!))

his eyes wander over the garden in the back, too. the monitor is an obvious pull. it kind of reminds him of That Thing that happened back on another world that he and Tek have agreed to never talk about again.
...okay, sure. time to figure this out. the lab is closer, so he will wander there first, morbidly curious about the small fetal aliens on display...]

Clay steps closer to it, examining the plants and the... eggs? They look like eggs, but it's no egg he's ever seen before. He almost reaches out to touch it, wanting to study it and see how it feels, but that's when the voice comes on. It's a voice he hadn't heard before, and...
Huh. That's actually a cool way to remember the amino acids. He looks at the eggs again, but he can't help going towards the console screen.]

of all the places that he maybe should be more cautious, he's diving into this one without much thought.
he doesn't even mind the song. it's actually kind of catchy.]
