Sweet dreams are made of these...
( for A-M characters )
Before you post your topcomment, please:
1. Check the first letter of your character's name as its written in our tags. A-M names comment here, and N-Z names go to the other post.
2. Make a note in your topcomment if anything especially triggering or graphic might show up in the Calibration. If you're not sure if something's worth noting or not, we suggest listing it anyway, just to err on the side of caution.
3. Put your character's name (it can be shortened or different from the tag, this time) in the subject of your comment. This will help visitors find you easily, and help us update the list below.
4. Post your comment! It's fine if everyone's Calibrations end up looking and reading very different from one another. As long as you're having fun and following our guidelines, you're good to go. :)
5. If you have any questions or concerns during Calibrations, you are welcome to send them towards the mod team at any time, as always.
ahsoka tano, jedi padawan extraordinaire ( l o l )
Only... it doesn't look like it's supposed to. Instictively, you know how it's supposed to look-- long, beautiful, high-ceilinged, wide open hallways, filled with light and Jedi calmly going about their daily business with an air of quiet contemplation. There should be a feeling of warmth, belonging, peace, safety. It's stood for over a thousand years-- and will stand for a thousand more. This place is a temple, after all. The Temple. It's a sacred place of learning. And most importantly... it's home.
Or... it should be. But it doesn't look or feel like that at all.
Instead, you stand in a vision of the Jedi Temple half in ruins. There are no other Jedi to be seen, and the way forward looks like it's been bombed. Many of the gigantic marble pillars that once held it's impossibly high roof lie strewn across the ground in front of you. The air is thick with smoke, and tiny fires can be spotted all over. Thankfully, there isn't much flammable for them to get a foothold in, what with all the marble, so they mostly stay small and contained. Tiny little fires burning in place until their fuel runs out. Above you, the open sky of Coruscant can be seen through the ceiling, massive skyscrapers visible in the distance. Starfighters speed overhead, engaged in some kind of battle. Green and red blasts fly everywhere. The noise and chaos is deafening.
You stand in the middle of two intersecting hallways. There are four ways you can go: ahead, left, right, and behind.
Ahead of you lies the ruins-- the broken ceiling, the fires, the rubble, the smoke, the battle raging overhead.
To your right is another hallway, seemingly much more intact than the one in front. This is what the hallway in front should look like, had it not been laid to waste. The roof and pillars are all mostly in one piece, though there is some rubble still lying about. Gigantic stone statues line both sides of the corridor.
To your left lies the third hallway, almost identical to the one to your right-- only in place of statues, the corridor walls are lined with paintings. It occurs to you that something isn't right about that. That the Temple isn't meant to have paintings in it. Strange.
Behind you-- well, that's just the hallway you came down to get here, isn't it?
Either way, you better make a decision soon. This section of hall, right between the safe and the not safe zones, doesn't look terribly stable. There's a crack in the ceiling high above you. Sure enough, as soon as you notice it, a BOOM sounds in the distance and the ground beneath you shakes momentarily with vibration. "Watch out!" comes a voice, followed by a full-body tackle strong enough to knock the wind out of your average Joe. When you open your eyes again, Ahsoka is lying on top of you, having tackled you out of the way of a large chunk of debris falling from the roof. It lands in front of you with a crash, and dust rises in its wake.]
( OOC: Please mark in the title of your thread "SPOILERS OK / NOT OK" depending on your preference! Thanks! I don't want to accidentally give major spoilers away to anyone playing or reading who doesn't want them. Also, while Ahsoka's canon is ostensibly PG-13, by default of being Star Wars, some memories will contain violence, war/child soldiers, and imprisonment. Please drop me a note somewhere either in the tag or a PM if there are certain themes you wish to avoid and I will absolutely do my best. )

You proceed down the hallway to your right. As you get further into it, the stone statues seem to loom bigger and bigger. They're not actually as close as they appear. Eventually, however, you reach the first two.
The nameplate beneath the one on your left reads "Anakin Skywalker." It's a statue of a young man, maybe in his mid-20s, standing in a heroic pose. Lightsaber in one hand. A scar adorns his right eye.
Opposite him, to your right, stands another, slightly older man. Bearded, wearing the same garb as the first, also lightsaber in hand.
Beneath both their name plates appear to be more text, but it's smaller. You'd need to go closer to read what they say.
Beyond the statues of Anakin and Obi-Wan lie many more such statues, but you can't make out their nameplates from here. They're not all human, though-- that much is clear. One is very short, and looks like a gremlin. Another looks like it might have tentacles coming out of it's head. Another still further down looks like he's wearing a gas mask. And there's one statue that seems to be in complete disrepair-- like a lightning bolt has struck it down.]

Spoilers A-OKAY!
[When she turns back to the hallways, a sudden feeling of indecision overcomes here. She looks left, then right, then left again. Which way should she go? It really shouldn't matter, as anywhere would likely be better than where she currently was. Sure enough, the cry of an unfamiliar voice followed by the full-body tackle prove just how dangerous her current location actually is.]
[It takes her a moment to catch her breath again, and get back on her feet. She looks over at her mysterious savior, about to say something to her. However, the sound of more aircraft flying overhead and more weapons firing causes her to shut her mouth. She needs to make a decision and now. She closes her eyes, quickly shakes her head, and then darts down the left hallway. She looks over her shoulder to see if the strange girl who saved her is following.]

You turn left, down the hallway with the gallery. Immediately, two things are apparent: they are all paintings of the strange girl who saved you, and they are almost all paintings that involve fighting of some kind. Whoever this girl is, it seems she lives or lived a very active lifestyle.
The paintings you see all have titles beneath them, and if you get closer, you'll be able to read each as follows:]

The Wrong Jedi
[It's title reads "The Wrong Jedi," and it appears to picture the girl who saved her--well, the back of her anyways--facing a mysterious, hooded figure. The silhouette against the red, burning flames stands out to Wanda the most.]
[She looks from the painting to the girl, then back to the painting. She confirms that is indeed the same girl, wondering then who this other figure is facing her. She tries to catch the girl's reaction to the painting out of the corner of her eye.]

But not now. This was scary. It reminded him of the dark fate of the Jedis... and it hit home for him, reminding him of the time that the Institute was in ruins.
He was looking ahead, ready to check out the source when the explosion rocked the area, and he found himself being tackled over suddenly by a newly-familiar girl. He blinks as he looks at her.]
Ahsoka?! [His eyes shift around nervously, as he thinks about the piece of ceiling that almost caught him off-guard.] Thanks, I owe you one...

Thanks. I'll ask more when we're... even remotely somewhere near safe. Suggestions on where to go?

It's up to you. Forwards is under construction right now, so I wouldn't recommend that way if you want to get somewhere safe.
The other three paths are safer. The right hallway is the where the relationship data is kept. The left hallway, personality data. And the way back is the Force. Obviously.

Once a little safer inside the hallway, she slows to a walk, looking around as they make their way down the path.]
So, personality data?

[The hallway is lined with paintings on both sides. Most of them are of Ahsoka, and most of them seem to involve fighting of some description. Beneath each painting is a small title card. Predictably, most of them have emotional words attached to them.]

This is a place of the Jedi, isn't it? It looks like the Jedi Temple... kind of. It's much different from the one Vima's seen, even without it being half destroyed, but... but she can't worry about that when she should be worried about avoiding shells. She glances around quickly and picks the right corridor, since she'll be less visible, right? But then there's a tremor and then someone wallops right into her.]
Ahsoka! What--what's happening?!
[The Jedi are at war again. That's what Ahsoka said about her time.]

And... there's one curious statue that seems to be in a state of complete disrepair-- like a lightning bolt has struck it down.
Towards the end of the corridor, you can just make out, looks like statues that are still being built.]

[ Jim's drawn to Anakin, perhaps because of the scar, perhaps because of the bravado he exudes like so many boys sent off to war, and looks closely at the rest of the text below the nameplate. ]
