Sweet dreams are made of these...
( for A-M characters )
Before you post your topcomment, please:
1. Check the first letter of your character's name as its written in our tags. A-M names comment here, and N-Z names go to the other post.
2. Make a note in your topcomment if anything especially triggering or graphic might show up in the Calibration. If you're not sure if something's worth noting or not, we suggest listing it anyway, just to err on the side of caution.
3. Put your character's name (it can be shortened or different from the tag, this time) in the subject of your comment. This will help visitors find you easily, and help us update the list below.
4. Post your comment! It's fine if everyone's Calibrations end up looking and reading very different from one another. As long as you're having fun and following our guidelines, you're good to go. :)
5. If you have any questions or concerns during Calibrations, you are welcome to send them towards the mod team at any time, as always.
Cayde-6
[Some of the items around the room inlcude a glowing green orb, bookshelves with such antiquated titles as Treasure Island, and a few Crucible and Vanguard Marks lying about. The large windows at the back shows a gorgeous mountain vista, the sunlight waning into night. Small ship trails criss-cross in the sky and if you're lucky enough, you'll see a strange ship with green lights pass by.]

Oh, right. There's someone here. Or at least, she's pretty sure there is? You look kind of like a robot, there, Cayde. ]
Um ... hello?
no subject
Long day, Guardian?
no subject
Uh ... not exactly.
[ How does she put this delicately? ]
Where is this? ... Who are you?
no subject
I'm Cayde-6, your friendly neighborhood Hunter Vanguard, this here is the Hall of Gaurdians in the Tower on the edge of the Last City On Earth under protection of the Traveler ... where's your Ghost? They should be the one filling you in on all this. I'm no babysitter. Trust me, I'm terrible with kids. Never remember which way is up.

[When she gets close enough to see that this stranger is not, well, human but a robot, she stops in her tracks. Its nothing personal Cayde; Wanda just hasn't had the best experience with robots in the past. She grows hesitant, unsure if she should bother trying to speak with him. She looks on-guard, ready to defend herself.]
[However, her thoughts turn to Vision strangely enough. She considers his origins, and her own initial perceptions of him and how wrong they turned out to be. She grits her teeth a little, knowing that she really should give this new robot the benefit of the doubt, but she still can't bring herself to fully lower her guard, not yet. She resumes her approach though. When she gets close enough, she speaks up, making her presence known.]
Hello.

Yo.

[She turns her attention away from Cayde, and towards the glowing green orb. In the center, there appeared to be a fragment of some kind of black rock. As Wanda walks toward the orb, she looks over at Cayde to see if he has any kind of reaction to her approaching the object.]

There goes Eris, leaving her creepy toys lying about.
[Dare you touch it?]

[Touching the orb causes it to fly through the air and settle on the holographic projector, triggering a memory.]

[Wanda can tell what is being discussed is very serious, even life-threatening. She does not understand all the words though; "Dreadnaught," "Cabal," "Awoken," "Taken," and "Oryx" all these words are foreign to her. However, the last two... they send a certain chill of dread up her spine.]
[As the memory fades and Wanda finds herself back in the room, she takes a moment to adjust to everything that just played out before her. She then walks back towards Cayde, a more confused and curious expression on her face than before.]
These "taken..." what are they? And who is this "Oryx?"

Warlocks, you ah ... have interesting problems.
[Because who else would be floofing about than a Warlock.]

The view is truly remarkable here. [He nods at the maps on the table.] but it seems you have other competitors for your attention?

Do you get much sun?
no subject
Not nearly as much as I would like. They kind of got me tethered up here.
no subject
What would you do if you were not?
no subject
[He stabs his finger at the map,] Right here. There's an influx of Fallen and right now it's where I tell the other Guardians to go have some fun, but that's exactly where I want to be.
[He huffs and crosses his arms.] I wanna be where the fun is.

[That much he can understand, even if the rest is full of terms he's not used to hearing. He tilts his head to one side.]
How did that come to pass?
no subject
It's all Andal's fault, really. If the dummy hadn't gotten himself killed I wouldn't have had reason to take on the Vanguard Dare. Well, you know, losing it is what got me here in the first place.

He stops near the person, and peers at the map as well. Sorry, he doesn't talk that much either. ]

I've been a hermit for a while - seems like it would be more boring than this.
