Okay, guys. Hear me out. This is going to sound like a weird suggestion, but... has anyone thought we've been almost too gloomy lately? Our mourning is all well and good. A lot of shit happened. But if you ask me, we're missing a pretty key component to the whole cycle. Where's the party? The wake. The remembrance that we're alive and we have our own lives to continue now enriched by the lives we touched while they were here.

You know. That kind of sappy stuff.

[ There's a pause, a quiet "um". ]

If anyone else agrees, I was thinking of setting something up in say—a week or so? Would anyone else be up for that?

[ No this clearly has nothing to do with the fact that her birthday is on the 11th. Mere coincidence! ]

[He appreciates that. If he had a bit of every time someone pointed out he was a talking horse, he'd be able to afford his own fancy castle at this point. ]

I can throw any party, ever. It's my special talent.

Uh, but I came in a little late and missed most of the- [he waves a hoof to try and encapsulate everything that happened with the bugs] stuff, so I might need some filing in so I can get the right tone.

Well, it would be a wake. So nothing, like, overly energetic but something people can still come together in. You know? Does that help?

[Hrmm, he hasn't held a wake in a while. ]

Alrighty roo, I can manage that. [He taps a hoof to his chin, considering this. Planning in his head, letting it all fall to place. ]

Maybe some candles to light, or a book to write down thoughts and things. Do candles even light in space?

As long as the ship has oxygen, a candle will burn. Better to check how safety systems deal with fire suppression first, though. We might all get sprayed with chemicals meant to put it all out and... that wouldn't be so great.

I like the book idea a lot, though.

Nothing would put a dampener on a party like being doused with fire retardant chemicals.

What ship do you want to set it up in?

That is my thought exactly.

You know, it's kind of hard to decide. We're all pretty tiny aside from the cargo bays which are only slightly better. Only place with a lot of space that we have easy access to is... [ She trails off. ]

...Please don't tell me you were gonna end that sentence with the big ship we're dragging behind us.

Well, I wasn't going to finish the sentence.

Regardless, we're gonna have to find the ship with biggest cargo bay or something close to. Kind of hard to throw a party without any room.

Well, there's gotta be one ship in the Fleet with a big enough space, there's that many.

Shame we can't just weld them together.

Yeah, I'll ask around. See what I can find for myself on that front.

Oh god, that would be a trip. Or tie them when we needed the space and set them loose whenever we're done. Like some kind of super mecha ship.

Shame there aren't any unicorns aboard, they'd probably have the magic to do that. Might be we'll just have to work with what we got.

[ Because that is most definitely how unicorns work and what they do with their magic. Sure. That pause is not her trying to wrap her head around this new information, of course not. ]

I mean, there might be other magic here that isn't unicorn-brand?

[Oh, what she could learn about Equestrian magic. What she could learn. ]

Sure, there's all kinds of magic in Equestria, so it makes sense that other worlds would have that, too.

...Space-y magic, maybe.

[ That it's bugfuck insane? ]

Equestria? Okay. Sorry, um, back on track. Space-y magic would be pretty useful. Something that would work on these ships.

That's the country I live in. Equestria.

[He gives a nod. ]

Princess Luna and Princess Celestia would be able to do something. They move the sun and moon back home, so spacey magic is kinda their thing.

Oh, just the country? What about the rest of the world?

Seriously? That's some trippy shit. We just have physics do that for us.

There's the Griffon Kingdom, the DragonLands, they're closest. There are lots of other lands beyond, but nopony goes there.

[Mostly because everything from those lands that shows up in Equestria wants to DESTROY THEM.]

Yeah, it was like that in Paradisa. It was weird.

Wow, that is all really self-explanatory. Do you have any places that aren't named after residents?

Paradisa?

Well, the cities and towns in Equestria are different. Like I was born in Manehatten.

[He nods. ]

It was a place I was before here, another kidnapp-y sort of deal, except this one was a sentient kinda-evil castle. There's a couple of people in the Fleet who were there, too.

... Manehattan. Huh. I grew up near Manhattan. Guess we're all a little speciest.

[ It's said teasingly, because she realized how conceited it sounds. Still, that's definitely interesting and humorous in the grand scheme of things. ]

Wait, other people have been taken out of their dimensions for sick and twisted entertainment before this?

Oh right! I've been told about that place, it's weird how they got a similar name, right? They're both really big cities, too.

Huh uh! There's not just Paradisa. Lots of people on the Fleet have talked about different places they remember.

Maybe it's one of those world-resonation things. Hell if I know, but that is pretty cool. So we're kind of like interdimensional neighbors.

[ There's a pause where she realizes neighbors and resolutely does not chuckle. ]

That is beyond worrying. What kind of places? Did they all have, like, forces behind them?

[Cheese has no such qualms, and sure does laugh. ] Neighbours, I get it.

I'm not too sure, you'd have to ask them. I wouldn't be surprised if they did.

Haha, yeah. I wasn't going to mention it. I like it, though.

[ There's a noticeable grumble. ]

Well, there goes that... It is super-creepy and worrying, though.

[He taps his hooves in the air and a 'bad-um-tsh' sound comes from nowhere.

Still, after his time in Paradisa, the Fleet is actually pretty...refreshing. ]

I guess. There's a lot of weird magic going on, but I figure most get to go home as some point. Aaaand I don't think any of the other places devour your soul. So that's a bonus.
