[Steven has some very mixed feelings about waking up in outer space. On one hand, it's space! He's so excited to be in outer space!

But that is dampened a bit by the conflicting feeling. The last time he was being taken to space, he was being captured and it was a Very Bad Thing.

The tiny child paces around uncertainly, trying to look for any sign of friend or foe. At least he doesn't seem to be in a prison cell this time. Maybe this isn't so bad?

When he finds the video feed, he'll prod at it uncertainly, while trying to be brave.]

Hey! Is anyone there?

Um... This is a nice spaceship! I really like it, and I always wanted to go on a space adventure. But I have important things going on back home, so it would be nice to save the space vacation for later!

[Then he frets a little more and looks around uncertainly.]

Un-unless I'm here 'cuz you're one of the guys that wants to do bad things on Earth. If that's it, then... Can we please just talk?

What is an Earth?

[ Okay so she doesn't really have anything helpful to add, but you look friendly and she would like to ask this question to SOMEONE.... ]

Ooh, I know this one!

Earth's a planet! It's where all my favorite people and things are, like my dad! Well, except for Pearl - she's stuck up here in space with me! But don't worry about us, we're gonna be okay!

I see. My father is on a planet called Hydaelyn, but I have not seen him in many years.

[ Nodding; she likes this little boy. He seems confident. ]

There are many nice people here, I am sure you will be fine. I am Margie.

Oh! I... never heard of that one. I hope you get to see him again soon! [He keeps on barreling on in an upbeat manner.]

It's nice to meet you, Margie! My name's Steven.

Have you been... um... in space, a lot?

There are many planets apparently. It is strange, that there are so many...I thought there was only one. Which was foolish. A bit.

[ She also seems pretty upbeat; what a nice little boy. She shakes her head, humming in disagreement. ]

No, only this once. But I study space -- the stars.

Only a bit! It's okay to be wrong sometimes. It just happens.

[He gives some chipper nods, eagerly hanging on to her every word.]

So you study stars? That's so cool! And I have a star on my shirt. We got so much in common, I bet we're gonna make really great pals!

I know. I have been wrong many times in the past. I am sure I will be wrong again in the future.

[ Nodding enthusiastically! ] I mean to study these new stars, too. I will let you know what magic they hold within them.

Me too! It's just part of being alive, I think. Being wrong just helps us to get a little better afterwards!

Wait... magic?! There really is magic in stars? Please tell me everything about them!!

[ she laughs quietly ]

Telling you everything would take many days. But I can tell you everything about them in parts?

Ooh! Most of my favorite things are in parts! [He exclaims that as if it's an extraordinary coincidence, and then he bobs in excitement.]

So, what's Part One? Oh, or is there a prequel first? Orrr a trailer?!

Part One: the constellations of the stars are based on the gods. At least, they were in Eorzea.

Nice! I think it's like that for me too! My dad and the Crystal Gems helped me learn about all kinds of constellations. They're named after old god people!

Then our stars are not so different. Who are the Crystal Gems?

They're the people who raised me! And I'm a Crystal Gem too. We have special powers and we use them to protect the planet! I'm only half Gem, and they helped to raise me, but we still work together a lot!

I see. [ So Gem clearly means "warrior of light" or something. SHE THINKS SHE UNDERSTANDS. She probably doesn't understand. ] So you are a warrior who fights to protect the world then?

You are very noble. That is not something many people would do.

Yeah, something like that!

Thanks. But Iii like to think that a lot of people would do it if they had powers too!

[ SMILING; she's just not gonna ruin his optimism by saying that people at home are lazy as crap, have powers, and just never use them. ]
