[Steven has some very mixed feelings about waking up in outer space. On one hand, it's space! He's so excited to be in outer space!

But that is dampened a bit by the conflicting feeling. The last time he was being taken to space, he was being captured and it was a Very Bad Thing.

The tiny child paces around uncertainly, trying to look for any sign of friend or foe. At least he doesn't seem to be in a prison cell this time. Maybe this isn't so bad?

When he finds the video feed, he'll prod at it uncertainly, while trying to be brave.]

Hey! Is anyone there?

Um... This is a nice spaceship! I really like it, and I always wanted to go on a space adventure. But I have important things going on back home, so it would be nice to save the space vacation for later!

[Then he frets a little more and looks around uncertainly.]

Un-unless I'm here 'cuz you're one of the guys that wants to do bad things on Earth. If that's it, then... Can we please just talk?

I'm doing okay! I think. Now that I've kind of got an idea of what's going on! [And that it's not the kind of kidnapping he was deeply afraid of.]

Um... but I didn't even think of food! Do we get space-food here? I don't think I'm that hungry yet.

[His stomach begs to differ, though, with a loud gurgle.]

There should be a cafeteria down the hall — I recommend the chicken.

[The latest thing that will be missed out on is Steven's eyes lighting up at the mention of that. This guy's got to be the coolest voice he's heard from!]

Really?! Yayyyy I love chicken! So don't worry, Jimmy. I'm not gonna chicken out of your suggestion!

[ Startled, Buck snorts with amusement. ]

You'd better not. It ain't a varied menu, but it's better than what the other ships've got if you don't end up getting a cook on yours.

Really? What kind of food's on the ships?

[ don't spoil the surprise, Steven!! ]

Protein bars. Lots of 'em. As much as you want.

[ So deadpan. ]

[But inquiring stomachs want to know!!]

Protein bars? Nooooo!

You know, they're not actually bad for you, kid.

But that's not the same as being tasty...

Sorry, Jimmy, I don't mean to hurt the feelings of a protein bar fan.

Just pullin' your leg, Steven. [ he laughs ] There's a few cooks on the Vanquish you could talk to — sure they'd be happy t'help.

[Steven laughs in response.]

Oh, you got me! That's really great for a new friend!

So you're saying that's where I should go if I want to... Vanquish my hunger?

I'm gonna start askin' that you start a show if you keep on like that.

Heh heh... what can I say? I got jokes! But you're funny too, Jimmy!

Yeah, I'm a riot. [ he laughs again ] So, how about I leave you be to eat, and you can call me back if you have any problems, right? Folks are pretty friendly around here, and I wasn't the only person you knew.
