[Steven has some very mixed feelings about waking up in outer space. On one hand, it's space! He's so excited to be in outer space!

But that is dampened a bit by the conflicting feeling. The last time he was being taken to space, he was being captured and it was a Very Bad Thing.

The tiny child paces around uncertainly, trying to look for any sign of friend or foe. At least he doesn't seem to be in a prison cell this time. Maybe this isn't so bad?

When he finds the video feed, he'll prod at it uncertainly, while trying to be brave.]

Hey! Is anyone there?

Um... This is a nice spaceship! I really like it, and I always wanted to go on a space adventure. But I have important things going on back home, so it would be nice to save the space vacation for later!

[Then he frets a little more and looks around uncertainly.]

Un-unless I'm here 'cuz you're one of the guys that wants to do bad things on Earth. If that's it, then... Can we please just talk?

[Sorry, kid. Bran still hasn't wrapped his head around the "no memories" thing.]

[Oh, another person who knows his name. But it's a fellow kid! Steven's excited.]

Oh! I don't know. I'm breathing pretty fine right now!

But, um, the thing is? I don't really feel like I'm back. It's more like I'm... front?

[Bran has no idea what that means, so he just blinks in confusion.]

Well, can you get to it? Why are you on the Marsiva again? And what do you mean you're "front"?

[jamminshield]

Get to what?

Um, I just mean that... I don't remember being here before! So it's like I'm the opposite of back. This is the Marsiva, right? I feel really really sure that I've never been here before!

[He pauses for a moment and then he adds.]

Sorry. [He can't deny how obvious it's becoming that this kid knew him in the past, and now Steven doesn't remember him at all.]

To our ship-

[But he's starting to understand - for some reason or another, Steven doesn't remember him, and that is supremely upsetting. His face falls.]

... My name's Bran. We were friends, before. Do you really not remember?

[jamminshield]

We... we have a ship?

[He shakes his head sadly, and he sounds very hurt.]

M-my name's Steve. I'm... really really sorry, Bran. But... I can't remember anything.

I... I'm a lousy friend after all...

[Oh no! Sad friend!]

You were a good friend, Steven! It wasn't your choice.

[jamminshield]

I really hope it wasn't. I'd never want to forget any friend ever! And that's the same with you.

I know we must have been great buds. I already like you! [His name reminds him of muffins.] But I don't wanna forget again. And... it's okay if you don't wanna try again. Just make sure that you find lots of other really cool friends who don't forget anything.

[Bran's cheeks go a bit red.]

Stop that! You're still going to be my friend. You taught me about ice cream bars, and microwaves, and now that I have my own wheelchair you won't have to carry me around.

[jamminshield]

I... I did? [He pauses, staring as if this is a very big deal.]

I taught you... about all those important things? [A pause.] I'm proud... and I'm really sorry you didn't know about great stuff like that already.

[And he needs a wheelchair? Aw.]

...And I'm glad you can get around by yourself. That's great!
