The Wood Wailers do as they please with women of our race, and even should danger befall us, they will not come to our aid.

My connection to the Conjurer's Guild protected me from the worst of it, yet even I heard such remarks throughout my childhood quite often. Marhi likely remembers similar events, and so she does not allow even the slightest disrespect to our race.
