Who: Ahsoka + you
Broadcast: Video (fleetwide)
Action: Common area of the Marsiva
When: Afternoon? Evening??
Has... anyone else been having weird dreams lately, or just me?
Also, what do people do for fun around here? This is the longest I've ever been cooped up in one place. At least if there was something to do...
Anyway, I'm sick of meditating. If anyone wants to come chat or keep me company, I'm sitting in the living area. Does anyone know if they have a dejarik board around here? I'm not much good at it, but it's a good time waster at least.
Oh-- right. I'm always up for a spar, too... if you think you can keep up.

... I mean. Or we could just. Not talk about it.

[Ahsoka just groans and reclines her head backwards on the couch, until she's staring at the ceiling, a strange look on her face. Like she's remembering something in the distant past. It's almost... fond? Wry? Hard to tell.]
Ha. ... Poor Anakin. I remember I used to give him hell whenever he'd do this to me. Clam up and refuse to talk about stuff.

It's... hard to explain.

Jedi are trained to sense other people's emotions and presence through the Force. The the more you know of a person, the more you can sense of them. It's not accurate to say that he was just my mentor and teacher, because... he wasn't. He was my friend, too. And the closest thing I've ever had to family. ... I could sense him from the other side of a planet.

I miss him.

I always thought... I don't know. That our paths lay together. That no matter what happened, we'd be always two Jedi having adventures together across the galaxy. And if we went down, we'd go down together, too.
But... I can't go back to the Order anymore.

They were my family. And-- I might not have grown up with my parents, but I know that family is supposed to protect you.
I can't fight for... I can't support a system that won't support it's own when the going gets tough.

Even Anakin?

But... I can't stay for just one person, either. That's... not healthy. ... I need to find my own way.

But one person can only do so much against the combined authority of the Council.

I think you might be right.
There's something... wrong with the Republic. With the Order, too. But-- I'm just one person. What can I do? I forfeited all my rights and privileges as a Jedi. I'm just a civilian now.
