first one to make that doctor who joke loses
Who: Everyone! All of you!
Broadcast: Maybe!
Action: Definitely!
When: Anytime during the toxic moon event!
---
[boy oh boy, isn't everyone just so excited to explore this... charming... place...?
this is a game-wide mingle and the timeframe isn't super-important, so throw in with whatever you want! play war games, go shopping for gas masks, get lost in the wilderness, hide up in the Iskaulit and refuse to set foot on the moon, anything goes.
here's the main event info post for reference! have fun!]

Laura Kinney
[Laura still wasn't terribly social, even after a few weeks on the ship. She kept to herself, in her room or in the security room, or sometimes down in the cargo hold doing her training.]
[Also, sometimes, people might feel like they're being watched. Though there wasn't anyone around when they looked. Or just the flash of someone slipping out of the doorway or around the far end of the hall. Laura was being a snoop again oops.]
B. Exploring the Moon: Indoors
[The teen didn't know what to make of being on another planet. It was something of an X-men rite of passage, but not one she had ever dealt with. Other dimensions? Sure. Hell even. But a planet, and one as clearly ruined as this one...]
[It wasn't what she had expected. So she was exploring, poking around watching people, stores, whatever caught her attention. Sometimes following other fleet members when she noticed them. But mostly just trying to understand this new place they were in.]
C. Outside on the moon
[First detail: She wasn't bothering with a mask. She had one clipped to her belt, but it irritated her face, so it was left off for now, letting her healing factor handle the grossness in the air.]
[Early on she could be found staying near the city, frowning at the pollution because it was playing havoc with her sense of smell, and she navigated by that more than she would admit. Still, she was sure she would adapt to it, once she stopped wanting to cough every time she took a deep breath...]
[Other times she could be found near the atmospheric generators that had caused this whole mess. She wasn't technically minded, but that didn't mean she didn't want to investigate some. Maybe keep an eye on the smarter people who could actually fix something...]
Wildcard
[Got somewhere else for Laura to be? Hit me up, we can make it work!]

Because that's part of what his job entailed. Noticing people like her.
He smiles a bit, raising his eyebrows at the... empty hall.]
... Laura, right?
[/sips tea]
no subject
Yes.
no subject
Good to see my instincts aren't totally dead in the water.
[Because wow, it'd be embarrassing. But he sits down, blowing on his tea. He's American, and more comfortable in his little spit of Kansas homeland, so he's used to tea being iced mostly — but he indulges well enough sometimes in brewed, hot cups of it from time to time. Especially since arriving in other universes. Go figure.]
Just checking out the network before I do some snooping around this moon.
You can come in, if you want. I'm guessing you're still kind of wary about -- all this.
[He motions to the ship, wincing. Because yeah, he gets it.]
... Or, I mean. Just us. But I get that, too.

I am adjusting.
[It was a lie, but an old one. A way to make the people around her think she was like them, was getting used to living like...a person. She wanted to believe it was true, even if she knew it wasn't.]
You are all fine.
[IE: She hasn't found anyone she thinks is a threat yet.]
no subject
I've never been described as being fine, but I think that's a fair assessment.
New to space?
[He's trying to get to know her, really. Better to get use to living together and being teammates, and whatnot; he gives her his attention more fully, leaving aside his tea and comm device.]
no subject
[If he wasn't a threat, he was fine. She looked around the room again.]
It is not what I expected.

C
Though it was better than what he spotted Laura doing, recognizing the semi familiar face from his time in Luceti, even if they never really talked. Speaking loud enough to be heard through the mask, Remy gave a nod towards her own, a joking tone in his voice.] Ya know, those normally do the job better when they over ya face, not on ya hip.
no subject
I am fine. My body is handling the toxins.
no subject
Then again 'm just some stranger who be talkin' too much. Name's Remy. [It was added as he wasn't sure if she would know him, either from Luceti or whatever version of the X-Men she was from.]
no subject
You are Gambit. But not the gambit I know.
[A beat, and then she touched the mask at her hip.]
It itches.
[At least she had a reason for not wearing it.]
no subject
Well, [There was a need to try and reassure her a bit with that, to offer something.] May not be him but from what I heard from the others 'm as annoyin' as him, so ya can't get away from that. [His attention then turned to the mask as the conversation was drawn back to that.] Ah yeah, know what ya mean, [He tugging at the side of his own mask.] 'm not a fan of them m'self.
no subject
[Whether she was referring to him not being the right Gambit or her mask being itchy, who could say? Her gaze shifted from him back out to the view again.]
Did you need something?

[She pauses when she sees Laura, her eyes a little wide. This was not the Laura from Luceti, and she'd missed her chance to greet her earlier, so. Awkward.] Um, hi.

...Hi.

It is fine. You are...Rogue.
