PADME AMIDALA
My mom's had to attend a lot of functions over the years--that, or she's organizing them. She held a big conclave on Exis station not that long ago. I usually thought it was a waste of time even though she was always so busy.

[ Grand Masters, parties. Children. ]
Meeting the Jedi from my era must have been quite a shock.
BEVERLY CRUSHER
He's a Tchuukthai--my mother trained under him when she first became a Jedi, but they mostly keep to themselves. What's a triceratops?

[civilizations last an inordinately long time where she's from species might too, ya never know]

...I'm still not sure how humans got from one galaxy to another, though.

...How did your Galaxy get that name, by the way? It's kind of a funny one.

And it stuck all the way until you got into space? [She grins.] That's cute. I like it.
Have you gotten to exploring that particular arm?

SORA
[She smiles back, appreciating the optimism.]
If there's one thing I've learned, things can change in the blink of an eye. And there are a lot of people in the Fleet who are really smart. It might not be me, but I wouldn't be surprised if one of us had some brilliant insight into terraforming, or even previous experience.
FINN
It's good to have something to look forward to that doesn't involve getting hit over the head with something. [She grins.] I've explored the garden some... I'm glad that they still remember how things used to be and set that up. Things are pretty bad out there, but they haven't lost hope.
no subject
Yeah. I think--well, I don't know how those terraforming machines work, but they'll be a lot better off if they can get it fixed. I thought about going out to explore some, but it feels kinda creepy out there. And some of the animals don't give you a warning before going all war games on you, if you know what I mean.

So even the Force knows this place is in trouble?
no subject
Yeah. I mean--when all the life in a place is suffering, or there's been a lot of death, it leaves a mark. Not so much in here, because of the gardens and the healthy life, but when I go out into the wilds I can feel it.

[It's more of a musing statement than a question.]
Huh. I didn't know that. Maybe if I feel something weird, I should have one of you Jedi check it out?

The couple of flights I made out over the forests were uncomfortable, yeah. But I thought it was just because the pollution was so thick I could hardly see what was going on. I don't like low visibility.
no subject
I don't either, not when it comes to piloting. I don't want to put my ship in danger. [With herself is one thing, but not with almost a dozen people.] Was it like the 'creepy feeling' you mentioned before, though? Or is that just regular creepy?
