As if looking normal was ever an appropriate prerequisite. I don't know -- people can be so ungrateful. There are good mutants and there are bad mutants, but only in so much as there's also good non-mutants and bad non-mutants. It's the way of the world.

Especially when you consider -- well, I don't know what it's like in your version of the world, but...it's not like mutants have the last word on superpowers. Plenty of people are walking around with enough mojo to take out most of a city block. But somehow it's mutants who always get the rap.

Essentially? Start World War III. [he's usually pretty good about keeping growls out of his voice, but not this time] He was trying to goad Russia and the USA into starting a nuclear war, and in the aftermath of that, he thought that mutants would rise up and rule, while humanity died.

...Because mutants want to inherit a nuclear wasteland. Of course. [ deadpan. ]

Erik . . . even with how things have gone, he was never as bad as Shaw was.

I guess that's saying something. And if I have anything to say about Erik, it's that he's at least fiercely loyal to his...family.

Not really. It's complicated. At least -- last time I saw Erik and Quicksilver together, they weren't really on the best of terms.

Oh. Er. Peter and - Erik only spoke . . . very briefly when they met. And I don't think they've spoken since, so - I can't really say?

I'll believe it. I know . . . Peter has sisters - I met the younger one, very briefly. But as for - code names, or anything like that - he's just a teenager. The only reason we met him was because of Logan.

She and...Peter [ she will not get used to calling quicksilver by his name, but perhaps it's just easier that way ] were some of the real legacy members of the Avengers. Alongside the other Hawkeye and Captain America.
