It's weird for me too. [ he nods. and man, is it good to admit that out loud, because it's been eating away at him since he first woke up on the marsiva. ] People from home, they grew up thinking of you a certain way, that people here didn't, so it's easier for them to keep an open mind.

Yeah! Or at least, like... Back home no one likes vampires. They always wanna get rid of us because we eat from them. But here that doesn't...both anyone. Even though I eat raw meat and drink blood, no one wants me gone. It's the first time in my life that's ever happened.

[ And it feels incredible to admit that as well as he sighs and flops onto his back, arms held at either side of his head. ] I keep thinking it's just a really great dream.

For all the downsides of this place, it has a lot of really great silver linings.

[ a woman who loves him. friends who accept him, are patient with him, are like him, even. these are all things he was starting to think could only exist in his imagination. and maybe that's the game the atroma is playing here - see how long it takes to break their will to go back. he'll always keep fighting to get kara home, and he absolutely doesn't want to imagine life without her. but even if his best case scenario works out and he manages to take kitty home with him - it'll mean never seeing cisco, hank, jim, kate, margaery, steve, luke, sascha...anyone ever again. every day he stays here, that decision becomes harder to make. ]

People are afraid of what they don't understand. You can teach them - show them that your abilities can be used for the good, that you don't take from them - you got a lot to give, Sascha.

But I don't know how to do any of that... [ He turns to look over at him, brows knitting together. It's hard to picture in which he's actually of use and help to someone else, rather than the other way around. Or, you know. The opposite and being burnt alive.

I think -- you should do what you feel. If you wouldn't have told anyone, we wouldn't be having this conversation right now, would we? Tell people you feel comfortable with. Like hey, my best friend from home is here - Kara. She has the best heart of anyone in the multiverse. I told her I met a friendly vampire - I didn't tell her it was you, don't worry, I told her I couldn't without getting your permission and she totally got it - cuz that's the kind of person she is. She didn't mind what you are, though, and she never will. If you ever want to, I'll introduce you, she'd never judge you for what you are - she'd see the who.

She wasn't scared at all?? or like...mad, or upset? When you told her...? [ Because that sure as heck wouldn't have been the case back home, let him tell you. ]
