So do I. It's just . . . they all need time. Their history with her is . . . it goes deeper than what I have. [he huffs, faintly amused] And they're all incredibly stubborn, so who knows how long it'll take.

Because of everything that's happened, yeah. I mean - I'm involved too, and Raven and I have our issues, too, but - we're talking, at least.

That's the good part of the world not ending here tomorrow. The bad part is actually having time to think about everything else.

Though Winn was mad at me last week for a few days. It was awful.

During my... I don't know. Post-memory-regaining haze, I told Kitty something I thought was funny, but it was about Winn and he thought it was embarrassing, and that I should've talked to him before talking about him.

He wasn't wrong, it just didn't occur to me.

Ah. [he winces a little in understanding] But you two worked it out?

Yeah, we cleared the air.

Which was good because the only thing about having super hearing while your best friend and his girlfriend sleep in the room next to you is being in a fight while it's happening.

That must be . . . yeah. [he's very glad his hearing isn't that good] I'm glad you cleared the air, though. It isn't fun fighting with a friend.

Mmm. [a faint smile] I'm glad it worked out - like I said. I can't picture anyone being angry at you.

Even knowing that, I can't really imagine it. Not - that I want to. But I know what you mean - I've had my fair share, too.

Thanks. It's different here, too. There isn't a ton of pressure, so it's easy to be cheerful.

Well - remember when you were here last? Extracting sugar from - whatever you want to call that stuff in the kitchen worked. So now I'm working on the next part. [he gestures to a corner, where that particular project has sat since it's inception] Other than that - I've managed not to take on any more projects, even if it's seriously tempting sometimes.

I am very impressed, though mostly pleased because if you focus on this, I'll get more food sooner.

Don't worry, it's my priority. I'm determined to finish it this week.
