[Video starts with... that sure is Loki. But there's something subtly weird about his expression. There's nothing guarded or calculated about it, a slight relaxation of ever-present tension that was never apparent before, perhaps. The best poker face in all Nine Realms is nowhere to be seen. If anything, he looks upset. Confused, worried, a bit scared. And he's out in the forest on the toxic moon, which is just great, let him tell you. No mask, but he's never needed one before, not that he's aware of that, or of the fact that most people have to wear them.]

Hello? Yes, this seems to be working. What a curious device. [Anyway. The point.]

I seem to be lost. Very lost. Where is this?

[A view of the forest, brief but steady.]

And--[Careful breath.]--who am I?

[Lucky Loki, his augment has glitched and while he remembers how to do things--and the occasional esoteric fact--he has no idea who he is. Good news--or bad news depending on your opinion of his usual space asshole personality--he'll get over it in about a week.

Even if no one comes find him, he'll make his way back to civilization eventually and be very confused about life and where he's even supposed to be. Good thing he's practically indestructible. But eventually, he will be around on the Paisley, and on the Iskaulit, poking about.]

[He licks his lips, taking in the taste that lingers there.]

Yes.

That was a small taste, for now.

[ He taps his fingers on Loki's lips. ] The rest is up to you.

[He considers this, the possible courses of action based on what little he does know. But now that he's had a small taste, there's one that definitely appeals to him more, and he has no reason that he remembers to hesitate.

Hand still on Leto's cheek, he draws him closer to kiss him in return.]

[ Pleased, Leto hums as he curls his arms around Loki's neck, deepening the kiss. ]

[Without all of the baggage of memory, he does something he would never naturally do, yet now it seems as simple as gravity: he yields, then surrenders to that kiss. His hand finds Leto's hair, fingers combing through it and then tightening as if to hold on. ]

[ He hisses. Touch always makes him weak, more susceptible. He bites on Loki's lip lightly as a tease. ]

[There's a brief hesitation at the hiss, but he's able to read the nip correctly. His fingers curl a bit more tightly into Leto's hair, and--why not? he's enjoyed this very much thus far--he kisses him in return with more boldness.]

[ Leto threads his fingers in Loki's hair, gentle and soothing. He's surprised by the turn of events, but he can see why Loki would chase affection.

And Leto has plenty to give. ]

[Affection is very pleasant, he's finding. It seems well to want more of it. More kissing, then, though eventually he draws back, enough that he can rest his forehead against Leto's. His breath's coming a bit faster, he notes distractedly. He feels warmer than he ever has before.

He slides his thumb down Leto's neck, noting the differing textures of skin with fascination.] What is next?

[ He laughs softly. ]

You're a quick learner. But that question diverges. What would you like next?

Am I? [He has no basis for comparison; the natural assumption is actually that he's like everyone else, though he's already been having that disproven on several fronts.

At Leto's question, he strokes the man's neck again, thoughtful.] I wish to see you more fully.

[ Leto's expression softens into something vulnerable. ]

You do?

Should I not? [With care, he kisses the corner of Leto's mouth.]

I am . . . ah, a little on the deformed side.

[ He taps the side of his face, rueful. ] It's spread to most of my body.

[He smiles a bit crookedly.] How would I know, were you not to tell me? [Well, he knows what he looks like, himself, but is that normal? Who knows.]

Or does that mean you do not wish it? [Puzzling, but fair enough.]

My apologies. It still surprises me when people don't take notice.

[ He shakes his head. ] I wish it so, but you have someone you love who is not me. I should not put you in that position with her.

I take notice, but no more than I take notice of anyone else. I'm beginning to see that everyone is rather different from myself.

[He frowns.] If that is so, I do not recall it. Kitty mentioned a woman named Rogue and asked if she had yet spoken to me. She has not. Is she angry with me already?

No. She is in a coma by the Atroma. She will wake in due time. Until she does, I should not compromise you further.

My heart is still yours, but I do not wish to hurt you. Or put you in a position you might regret later.

I am compromised? [Okay what? When did this happen? What did he do?]

None if what you have said makes the slightest sense to me.

[ Leto's lips twitch. ]

My apologies. Let me make it clearer. You are in a relationship with a woman named Rogue. While we have confessed our feelings to each other, you are in love with her. You want to be with her.

[ As it should be. Leto's not anyone's first choice. ]

[He rubs his forehead with one hand.] So I am Loki.

[So much for talk off other names and the like, though perhaps he'd already destroyed that himself by saying that he wanted some of what he'd already had. And it sounds like he really does need to just... Figure out how to be Loki without knowing anything, because... This is really complicated. And feels unfairly abstract since he only knows the name you which Leto is referring and nothing else.

As opposed to Leto, of whom he knows the taste and scent.

Yes, this is very confusing.]

I have brought you grief in a time when you should have joy. I'm sorry. I'm not -- good to you.

[Dryly:] Confusion, yes. Grief seems rather too dramatic a word for my current state.

Either way, I am more nuisance than help.

[ Still he promised. Leto doesn't go back on his word. So he doesn't move, though he keeps his eyes fixed on the ground. ] I'm sorry.

Nay. You have been most helpful, and kind. I begin to think I have not asked the right questions, perhaps.

['Who am I?' Is not useful. 'Who is Loki?' And 'How do I be him?' Seems necessary. It had been a nice thought, to contemplate naming himself to something that felt right, but it also feels foolish, when everyone clearly knows who he is and expects him to still be that.

It's not fair, but he's already figured out that basically nothing is.]
