[ The weather is a pleasant surprise for Ino as well, and she looks almost like she might be enjoying herself just a little bit in her crop top and miniskirt. She's not here to buy much of anything, or really even to participate in the local traditions -- mostly she's just casually looking around to see if she can spot a certain recently free boy who might be up to no good.

She pauses in her search when she spots Garak walking with his purchases, most likely stopping to wonder what in the world he's going to do with all that fabric ... ]

[Ah, the young woman who was so terribly threatening the other day! Garak aims a slight smile and polite nod in her direction when he catches her pausing in the street. There's not too many people in the street, and so he calls:]

Hello, my dear!

[ino]

[ Oh, oops. Well, she'll play it off and wave back ]

You look like you're about to make a tent or something with all that fabric.

[parricida]

Something far more interesting than a tent, my dear. I'm sure I'm not the only one tired of Floot Loop brand clothing.

[ino]

[ Her eyes light up. ]

You know how to make clothes?

[parricida]

I do. And, if I may say so, I do so very well.

[ino]

That's amazing ... ! I mean, I can stitch up a tear or put on a patch or something, but ...

[ Not on that level. Especially not something fashionable that she would like to wear ]

Does your ship have a sewing machine?

[parricida]

Unfortunately, no, but I can't imagine it would be too hard to find one here. And if not, there's always tailoring by hand-- difficult, but hardly impossible.

[ino]

I guess so ... and it's not like we don't have plenty of time to just sit around and do something like that, huh?

[ A pause, and then, thoughtfully: ]

I bet you could even open a little store on your ship, if you wanted. I'm sure everyone else is dying to get out of those horrible jumpsuits.

[parricida]

[He laughs softly.]

I plan to do just that, in fact. The only thing stopping me was a lack of materials-- and so here we are. Are you interested in ordering something?

[ino]

Is that even a question?

[ Thank you, Atroma, for this tailor blessing. Finally she won't have to wait to stop somewhere with nice clothes ... ! ]

Ooh, does that make me your first customer~?

[parricida]

It does indeed. Though perhaps we can head to a cafe to discuss the details?

[ino]

Sounds good to me!

[ Oh boy she's so excited, and trying to think of what she could order. She definitely looks much happier than when she first stopped to look at him ]

[parricida]

[Goodness. He leads them to a cafe, amused and flattered by her interest. Likely their interests in fashion will be different, but he's sure he can parse out what she might like.

Seated, with some tea ordered, he gestures towards her.]

Now, tell me: what is it you typically enjoy wearing?

[ino]

[ Terrible 80s fishnets and crop tops? ]

Well, my favorite colors are purple and orange. Usually I like something that shows off my curves ... well, where I come from it's usually warm, so it's not too much material, either. But I don't mind sweaters and things like that, as long as they're not baggy and make me look fat.

[parricida]

[Purple and orange, goodness, what a combination. Perhaps he can steer her towards something a bit more pleasing to the eye-- gold and orange, perahps, she looks like someone on whom warm colors would be flattering.

As for the rest, he nods.]

Trousers, then, I assume?

[Taking a napkin and pulling a pen from his pocket, he begins sketching.]

[ino]

[ Please help her, Garak. For the love of all that is holy, please save her from her awful fashion sense ]

I'm fine with a skirt, too.

[parricida]

All right. Let's see . . . what about something like this?

[It's a rather rough sketch, but he shows her something along these lines.]

[ino]

[ Ooh! She leans in to look, clearly impressed ]

It's pretty ... !

[ It's not really at all what she was talking about, but she's too distracted by how fast he just made that up to care -- and really, that's for the best ... ]

But maybe a cutout, here? [ She points to the stomach area ] I think I've seen a dress that's styled like that. A sah-ru? Sah-ren?

[parricida]

A sari, perhaps?

[He erases and adds, putting a cutout where she added, trimming the sleeves as well.]

[ino]

--Yeah, that's it!

[ She beams down at what he's changing ]

You don't think that would be too difficult, do you?

[parricida]

Not in the least. I'll have to take your measurements-- perhaps tomorrow? But it shouldn't be too difficult.

[ino]

Oh, I already know my measurements! But I guess if you need to take them again ...

[parricida]

It can't hurt. Besides, I'd rather do things the right way for starters-- though if the thought makes you uncomfortable, I can simply mark the numbers while you do it yourself!

That's true ...

Well, then I guess it'll be fine.
