[ Because there's sharing and there's sharing. Charles knows which one Raven would settle for. ] Do you want to talk about it?

It's nothing bad. [he should probably make that clear] There's not - much to really talk about? I mean, just holding her hand is . . . uh, something.

[axiomed]

[ His lips twitch. ]

I can imagine.

[beathach]

. . . [squint]

What?

[axiomed]

Nothing, Hank. I'm sure the intensity will die down once you're more accustomed to it.

[beathach]

. . . will it? Because that would be nice. [he'd like to take her on a proper date again without worrying about - things]

[axiomed]

It only feels extreme when other emotions are at its peak. The more calm you are, the more likely you'll be able to regulate the memories.

[beathach]

That doesn't work so well when I know exactly how she feels. Not that it ever worked in the past to begin with. [he looks away and lifts a hand to rub the back of his neck, a little embarrassed. He manages to mutter out:] You know how I feel about her.

[axiomed]

[ A blind man would know that. ]

Well, you are both in the honeymoon phase. But if she's handling it, then I imagine it can't be all that bad.

I don't even know what that means. [stop calling it a honeymoon phase!!] She's handling it. As - far as I know. I told you, it isn't bad, per say.

[axiomed]

It means everything feels new and bold and perfect.

[ Charles has done the honeymoon phase. Twice. ]

Has she complained or -- [ Asked you to stay out of her head. ] -- stopped in any way?

Oh. [a little weakly] That's . . . accurate.

[he shakes his head after a moment and blows out a sigh] No, I'm usually the one who has to - uh, stop.

[axiomed]

Then I think it's going fine. Stop panicking.

[beathach]

I'm sorry, did you forget who you're talking to?

[axiomed]

Stop panicking too much.

[beathach]

Better. But I'll try. [he means that. He'd really like to get used to it, rather than overwhelmed every time]

[axiomed]

It's a nice enough planet. I imagine the shock will fade quickly enough.

[beathach]

Mm, it's beautiful here. I've been spending most of my time in the forests helping with repairs.

[axiomed]

Erik says there are boardwalks. I might try those. I don't foresee much exploring on my part though.

[beathach]

Mm, there's boardwalks. [he glances down and raises an eyebrow] Do you want to explore? We can figure out something.

[axiomed]

While I appreciate the thought, Hank, the idea of having jetpacks attached to my wheelchair is frankly, daunting.

[ He shakes his head, bemused. ] I'm . . . happy enough. I don't need to explore the planet to get that.

[beathach]

I'm insulted that you think I would resort to jetpacks first.

You're on a planet that's practically made for you and you don't "need" to explore? Please. [he's going to figure something out anyway, so take that, Xavier]

[axiomed]

Well, the idea of a floating chair or a flying one still seems a little dangerous.

[beathach]

[dryly] I was thinking motorized. And making it easier to handle the rougher terrain.

[a pause, and then deadpanned] Or maybe I'll just carry you out there like I keep threatening to do everywhere else.

[axiomed]

Would that work?

[ He frowns. ] That is an awful threat and you know it.
