[ Charles glances at the children. They have their hands curled near his fingers to communicate. He sends them a few silent words and they nod, fleeing as he chuckles. It's nice to know he hasn't lost his touch in some things. ]

Discuss is a strong word. More like... chat. I'm curious.

You know I'm still pretty new to this. The planets and space ships and... everything. Just woke up here a couple weeks ago.

Coming from 70s, the technology here is still a shock. I've done the best I could at catching up but I'm bound to miss a few things.

I can imagine. The timelines—that's another wrench in the works, isn't it? It's not just all his, it's also the other passengers. If you can call them that.

That's less confusing to me. But I have had some experience traveling into the future and even talking to my future self.

[Not exactly, at least. Who knows? The way things have been going, she wouldn't be all that surprise if in a few more years it turned out she was wrong about that.]

As far as I know, the existence is unique to my world and others that resemble my world. Otherwise, it's often seen as a derogatory word.

No. It's our preferred term. Though I imagine people would use it in a derogatory manner regardless.
