Who: Winn and you!
Broadcast: y!
Action: on the Tourist!
When: August 2nd
[ some of you may have noticed that winn has been uncharacteristically quiet for the past...16 days. he's not really sure how to address the elephant in the room - he knows these two weeks and change have been hard on the people he loves but for him it's like no time has passed and the dissonance is hard to bridge.
it's a good thing he has a not at all unhealthy coping mechanism set in place. ]
You know, if we're entertainment on a reality show, the least they can do is give us like a recap - you know your basic [ in a tv announcer impression ] here's what you missed on the Fleet - or - last week, on the young and the Drifting - [ he rubs the back of his head before shaking it ] Well, maybe talking about the 'least they can do' isn't such a great plan...first order of business - what'd I miss? Second order of business - if you or anyone you know has ever fallen into an unexplained sleep here or at any other kidnappy world - I'd appreciate it if you'd answer a couple questions, they're a text attachment at the bottom. Sorry if it's been done before, I'll gladly take a link to any previous research as well as fresh data. Third order of business -- hi. [ he gives the camera a little wave and a nervous chuckle ] Um. Yeah, I'm, I'm fine, I should've opened with that but if you know me the order isn't really gonna surprise you that much and if you don't you're probably really confused right now and looking for the off button - it's to your right, right on top, there you go.
That's it, I guess....good morning, Drifters - don't forget to drink your coffee! Winn out -
[ except he's not all the way out. hank and cisco each get the following message to their personal numbers ]
I need to discuss something in person. My place? [ he can't really leave kitty yet ]

He maturely rolls his eyes and is very tempted to try and stand up straight out of Winn's reach but he's pretty sure he isn't that tall] I can't get sick, but nice try.
no subject
[ he's not sure whether to be more suspicious or more envious, so he balances both emotions in about equal amounts for now ]

Scoring super healing is pretty lucky, I vote both.

no subject
[ he nods. ]
How fast is it?
no subject
For small stuff, it's pretty quick. Bruises and cuts, along those lines. The more serious the injury, though, the longer it takes.
I can take a lot of damage, though.
[like getting thrown though a car and being fine, normal stuff]
no subject
[ he hates that hank knows that for a fact. stop hurting his friends, multiverse! ]
no subject
[if only the multiverse would listen, then no one would ever have to worry]
no subject
Wait, physically? Cuz in that case your super healing needs a tune up -
[ dammit multiverse, wait til your father gets home! ]
no subject
No, no, I mean - it's just like anyone else getting an injury, I'm not immune to pain. Getting thrown through something still hurts a hell of a lot, it just . . . heals quicker. Like - hitting fast forward on the devices, like if you're watching a movie - that's what it's called, right?
no subject
Yeah - yeah that's what it's called.
[ nodding, relieved. ]
Right so - no proving it for you, it's settled.
no subject
[because that's how it works right, no Hank it isn't]
no subject
[ yeah he's gonna stay more worried about you getting hurt, thanks. ]
no subject
[but other people, Winn!!]
no subject
[ but YOU, hank! ]
no subject
[but OTHER PEOPLE]
no subject
[ but YOU! ]
no subject
[no!!!]
no subject
[ you really want to pick a fight with him, hank? he'll just run off to the first candy offering white van that comes his way for comfort. ]
no subject
[wait what no don't you dare bring back the white van!]
no subject
[ he scrolls to a picture of his state of the art gaming computer ]
Customized it myself. She must be so alone, so scared, no one to play with her...
[ stroking the image with melancholy.
IT HAS BEEN BROUGHT. ]
no subject
[wait just a gosh darn minute. Hank leans in to get a good look at it, eyes wide and impressed]
That is - still a lot smaller than what I'm used to, wow. Is it easy to customize them?
[he can't help but laugh, though] Poor thing.
[DON'T BRING IT NO LEAVE IT AT HOME]
no subject
[ shaking his head at him. ]
Easy? [ like he just asked if the earth is flat ] It took commitment, and time, and money, and camping out all night in front of tech stores. And some morally gray area actions. But she's worth it - ain't she a beauty? I wish you could see her in action.
[ longingly.
HE'LL CONSIDER IT IF YOU START WORRYING ABOUT YOURSELF, DEAL? ]
no subject
[Winn please, Hank is incapable of being a bully.
THAT ISN'T WHAT HE MEANT WINN, GOSH] She is a beauty - but I meant - it's just . . . accessible? To anyone? They can just - build a computer from parts sold in the store?
[it blows his mind how common computers are, ok.
FINE . . . MAYBE . . . as long as you leave the candy van out of this]
