Yes and no. My wishlist for the day is a lot more varied, since this place looks like it has parts from all over... the more I get of those, though, the faster the bots will get done. I feel like I ought to get something accomplished while Anakin's out of commission.

[Kirito ventures closer to check the metal, then shakes his head.]

[As if building robots could be considered work. He lives for this stuff, every moment is a joy.]

That's a good material, bad size. Do you see anything like that, but maybe twice as long?

Hm... [He peers into the distance, using his hand to block any incoming sunlight.] Hang on.

[He heads over, navigating his way as if it were no big deal, before returning back with another piece of metal. Same material, same cut, but far longer. Stefan carries it as if it's a feather.]

[That's actually kind of big, but better that than too small. You can always cut metal down. Welding it together is the tedious part.

He nudges the box where they'd been gathering parts along the floor towards Stefan.]

Yeah, that'll work! Metal about that size is pretty much perfect.

Great. [Stefan lets out a small huff of relief as he carefully sets the metal piece inside.] So, metal that thick and that long...

I think I see a few more over there. [He gestures vaguely towards the east.] Anything else while I'm at it?

Haaaah... don't ask me that, I've got a list a mile long.

[Most of it is technical terms that might make zero sense to non-tech-savvy, so that's equally unhelpful.]

If you see any intact camera lenses or projector parts, those would be helpful.

Lenses, I can do. [He tilts his head thoughtfully.] Have you talked to Winn and Cisco, by the way? They've managed to get a projector working up on the Iskaulit.

Completely. I'm supposed to lecture there in a couple of weeks, so I checked the place out and everything.

Oh, geez... I was putting a movie theater together. Katie asked me months ago, but we've been to all these forest-y planets lately, so I had to wait for the right parts to come along. Is that projector in a lecture hall or something?

Right. I wouldn't put it on the same level as your project.

[Stefan's not even saying that to be nice; while the projector is well-made, it's to facilitate academic discussion, not host a movie night or three.]

But if it's like a projector that you'd find there, I know what it looks like, and I can find the parts faster.

[That's a relief, so Kirito relaxes a bit, nodding thoughtfully. It wouldn't be the end of the world - the Iskaulit is big enough and there's enough people that two theaters wouldn't be a bad thing - but it's still a lot of work he'd hate to see go to waste.]

Yeah... okay, in that case, just look for whatever you can find related to that. It can't hurt to have spare parts in case anything breaks in the future, either. And projector parts can be useful for the robots, too- Anakin has some droids that do holographic projection, and that's something I haven't tried yet.

[Stefan pauses, holding his hands out and mimicking a projector's lens as he tries to imagine a holographic projection. He can't quite picture it.]

Wait, holographic projection? Like in sci-fi movies..? [He waves a hand, as if mind-wiping someone.] This isn't the droid you're looking for?

[Kirito tilts his head slightly at the quote; it sounds like it ought to be familiar, but nothing comes immediately to mind.]

Well... I was more into fantasy than sci-fi, but yeah, more or less. Images appearing in the air, full body camera, stuff like that.

[He peers into the box, just to gauge how much more it can hold.]

I didn't watch much sci-fi either, but my brother really loved Space Wars. I must've seen that movie like, ten times.

Oh... yeah, we saw a couple of those in theaters when I was really little. I don't remember much about them- I just remember my sister crying because she was too young to go.

You might've liked them, actually. They're ultimately family drama, like Greek tragedy-level family drama, but the droids and the fights were amazing.

[Stefan may not love sci-fi the way others might've, but he can still appreciate a well-made film.]

But yeah, I'm sure whatever you and Anakin'll work on will be just as great.

Yeah, I was going to set up the projector to work with media on the network. Just plug your comm in and bam, you can watch on the screen.
