So...I've been wondering this for awhile- but is it normal for worlds not to have monsters? Because I've noticed a pretty big lack of them everywhere we go.

[She sounds bored, just a little, though. Not obnoxiously. Even with this malfunction, she's still mostly herself and couldn't sound melodramatic over something like this if she tried.

She's just finished painting her nails and scritches under the mouth-like flower cap that seems to be wriggling pleasantly under her touch. Oh. And her hair is blue, a nice cerulean shade. She's had it for a while now, like a whole two hours.]

Oh, but to answer your question: planet Earth doesn't have monsters in my universe, but that wasn't really normal, anyway; all the magic had been gone for centuries and they presumably died out.

That...doesn't make sense. I know that world's pretty low on magic- but how could Earth still be alive if they had it but lost it all? [HE'S PRETTY SURE YOU NEED THAT. A LOT OF HIS FAMILY DID DIE FOR THAT YOU KNOW]

I'm guessing worlds where you're from sustain themselves on magical energy? Not all of them do, strange as it may sound. Though it should be said that my Earth did fall into different sorts of strife for different reasons because of the lack of magic.

Well I sure haven't seen any yet. I mean, there were the polar bears on that wintery planet in December- but those guys weren't nearly as big as bears get back I'm from.

That's strange, but it's also good. That means things are peaceful...or at least, that people don't have to worry about monster attacks.

[The word "monsters" drew Adachi's attention to Kaneis' video. The shadows from the Midnight Channel could certainly be called monsters. And admittedly, they were one of the first things Adachi looked for when he arrived. Although the shadows had not attacked him when he entered the TV world, they had still been around and certainly noticeable. Their lack of presence here in the fleet had been one of the biggest signs that he clearly was someplace new; that and his inability to summon him. Still, to hear someone else potentially be talking about them had piqued his interest.]

Monsters? You mean like alien monsters? Something out of a bad sci-fi movie? I admit, I too was a little disappointed when I arrived and discovered that there weren't any little green men to greet me. I mean, it's a good thing I guess, because we seem to be relatively safe here. But it sure would make things more interesting, wouldn't it?

Mm, where I come from, some worlds have 'em, some don't. They seem to be... migratory, I guess you could say, so I'd wager the worlds that don't have any yet, it's mostly just a matter of time.

Actually, I've got a list of non-meat ingredients that I've been looking for and having some trouble finding them. I'd appreciate it if you could help me out on this.

And as for the monster thing, we don't so much have monsters as we do demons and other magical beings, but demons for the most part stay in the Underworld and magical beings hide out to not be found by humans. There's a whole "don't tell the mortal magic exist or Bad Things happen" rule going on.
