[ Well, Aoko had just been strolling around with a bunch of mechanical parts clasped in her arms. But when she spots Opal just chillin' on the floor, she stops dead in her tracks, blinking. ]

They're parts for the robot cats I've been trying to build. The blue [ jostles a piece!! ] is gonna be Leonyaad, the grey and yellow [ JOSTLE ] is for Washingpaws, and the black [ WIGGLES MORE STUFF ] is Kuropurr.

[ After a long moment of Thoughtful Staring, Aoko folds her legs underneath herself and drops down to sit. ]

As for the cats themselves ... my augment's engineering, so I figured it was worth a shot!

[ She has no idea what she's doing. ]

[She tilts her head slightly, both as Aoko sits and at the detail about her augment.]

Engineering? Wouldn't have thought that'd be it.

[ Please appreciate her genius, she worked so, so hard on these names. ]

[ She gently dumps her armful of robotic bits and bobs on the floor, poking through them with her fingers. ]

Mmm, same here, actually. Kaito's always been the inventive one. [ While she's just kind of … there in the background, picking up his slack when he needs it. ] What did you think I was gonna get?

None of those are an acceptable option. Also, why are you naming a robot cat after my girlfriend?

You're plenty inventive, that's not what I meant. I just thought you would've been, like, lab support or communications or something.

[ There's a deathly pause, of the sort that usually precedes a bomb being dropped. ]




[ Gently, Aoko says: ]

[ Well, that's interesting and a little concerning. Aoko raises an eyebrow, resting her chin in her palms and her elbows on her knees. ]
