[It's your average day on the Iskaulit. Absolutely nothing seems out of place initially, but without any warning- you might find yourself or your friends experiencing some problems. What's up on that?

In other words, it's an Iskaulit mingle with a twist! Come on in everyone! You don't need to interact with Sora to have it effect you, so feel free to start your own threadstarter! Or talk to Sora, that's cool too. ]

[curious, Winnie reaches out to touch the air next to Kaylee's hand]

I . . . um, there's nothing there? And I can't - can't see anything.

There was something there. [Kaylee's voice was stubborn.] But if it ain't there now, where did it go? [She took another few steps forward, then seemed to smack right into another wall, swearing in Chinese:] Damnit.

[okay but how is something doing that? Even if it's magic, she should be able to see something. This is just weird]

[she says it like that's the most important take away here] Maybe - you should walk with your hand out? S-So you don't hurt yourself.

And can disappear in a flash. Like whoever's doin' this is just TRYING to be the biggest possible jerk about it.

[Kaylee tenatively felt the air in front of her, and began walking towards a wall.]

Maybe if'n I follow a real wall it'll help, too.

If someone is doing this, y-yeah - they're being a real jerk. And rude.

[she moves aside so Kaylee can pass, but decides to follow, just in case.

[Kaylee stopped, then backed up a few paces, and yep- SMACK.]

Oh, for crying out loud. Ain't you run into any yet, miss?

[she shakes her head]

No? I haven't run into anything a-at all.

[Kaylee took a few hesitant steps, then some more, and... nothing.]

Now that's even worse. I'm not gonna complain about not walkin' into walls, but at least be consistent. [She sighed.] Maybe now I can get a look at the workin's of this ship.

They'll - let you take a look at that? Here?

[That made Kaylee stop short.]

Well... I assumed I'd be able to, anyway. Stands to reason this ship's got to have an engine and a bridge and all, right?

Well - y-yeah, but are we allowed to even be there? I-I don't even know where it is.

Well, that's what I came over here to find out. If I ain't allowed, well... either I'll run into another wall or I'll black out and wake up with soup in my hair or somethin'.

[she cracks a smile, faintly shaking her head]

I don't think that'll happen . . . um, but if you can find the room, maybe I can help? [a pause] I-I'd like to see the engines, too, honestly.

Let's go, then! And even if we can't find it, I would like to know my way around here. What sorta stuff is kept on this ship, anyway?

There's - um, I know there's the two bars, and a library. A-And I think there's a gym? And there's a huge garden, too . . .

Oh! [she almost makes a motion to offer her hand but stops herself] S-Sorry, I'm being rude - I'm Winnie.

I'm Kaylee! [Kaylee, as per usual, doesn't seem fazed by any rudeness at all.] Well, it's good to have a space for that kinda stuff, especially for folks who ain't used to being on a ship for long periods of time.

It's nice to meet you, Kaylee. [but is she fazed by awkwardness?] I - yeah, it's nice. I'm not used to it, but - I don't think space travel like this is really possible yet . . . a-are you used to it?

Me, too. I love meetin' new people. [She nodded. Awkwardness was cool, too.] Uh, I get the impression that I'm a loooong ways beyond most folks here. I live in 2517. Space travel is the way to go for me.

Oh - oh wow, that's - that's a long time after me. It's, um - [give her a moment to think] 2013 where I'm from.

And do you live on Earth? 'cause, uh, I don't.

I - yeah, I do. W-Where do you live?

On a ship called Serenity. She's transport, so our crew goes here and there a lot, picking up jobs when we needs them.

Wow . . . that - that sounds like something straight out of a movie where I'm from.

... huh, really? I guess some of our adventures might make an interestin' movie... you know, if you like watchin' a crew stepping in cow poop when transporting a herd.

[she quirks a tiny smile]

People where I'm from watch a lot of weird stuff - I bet someone likes that kinda thing, especially where I'm originally from.
