Iskaulit Mingle - Problems with Psychics

Who: Anyone on the Iskaulit!
Broadcast: If you'd like?!
Action: Iskaulit!
When: Today, as Sora's augment glitch starts.

[It's your average day on the Iskaulit. Absolutely nothing seems out of place initially, but without any warning- you might find yourself or your friends experiencing some problems. What's up on that?

In other words, it's an Iskaulit mingle with a twist! Come on in everyone! You don't need to interact with Sora to have it effect you, so feel free to start your own threadstarter! Or talk to Sora, that's cool too. ]

[ Charles blinks as it crashes a few inches away from his head. Though he doesn't seem to react much. Living in a mansion full of hijinks and accidents such as these has greatly lowered his surprise.

Though taking in Bucky's expression prompts a response. ]

Bad day?

I hadn't thought so.. But I'm starting to reconsider.

[ He can't even explain what just happened, and he looks to Charles for help. ]

[ Charles taps into the memory, replaying it. His brow creases before his expression softens. ]

You have some form of telekinesis. Like Jean.
reconstitution: (Default)

[personal profile] reconstitution 2016-12-11 02:02 am (UTC)(link)
Telekinesis? How? I shouldn't be able to do that.

[ Is he glitching again, or is this something different? ]
axiomed: (Among the shadows)

I hear powers are being passed around like presents on a holiday.

[ He's pretty nonchalant about it. ] Most likely, you got someone else's power.

[personal profile] reconstitution 2016-12-11 08:21 pm (UTC)(link)
So this isn't just me. It's not something new- just borrowed.

[ That's a little less worrying, at least. Though the bigger question yet-- ]

If I have someone else's, then who has mine? [ They could really hurt someone without realizing it. ]
axiomed: (What you gain if you win)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-12-11 11:51 pm (UTC)(link)
[ He shakes his head. ]

I wouldn't know. I suppose you could ask the network. Find out.
reconstitution: (Default)

[personal profile] reconstitution 2016-12-12 02:31 am (UTC)(link)
[ He might just have to. He'd hate to be indirectly responsible for anyone getting hurt. ]

I probably should. Until then, how do I... not do this?

[ He makes an aborted gesture and a pillow goes skittering across the floor. ]
axiomed: (Leave the mind)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-12-12 02:34 am (UTC)(link)
[ Charles barely stifles the urge to chuckle. ]

Well, your mind always moves faster than your body. So when you think about "moving forward" or grabbing something, the power works before your hand does.

As such, you need to order your thoughts. Give them more detail. Instinct alone isn't enough here. Move your hand forward, make that the focus.

[personal profile] reconstitution 2016-12-12 09:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Make the movement the focus. All right, I think I can do that..

[ Looking back at that same pillow, Bucky takes a breath so he can get his focus back. Order your thoughts. He thinks of the power as an extension of his arm, reaching out and raising his hand slightly. It takes a moment, but the pillow does move in an upward direction.

He's pleased, but his focus flickers for one brief moment and the pillow rockets excitedly toward the ceiling before falling back to the floor. ]

Well, it worked briefly.. It's a lot harder than certain people make it look.
axiomed: (They could talk all night)

It always is. Control takes a lot of time and work. And a very fine emotional hold on things.
reconstitution: (Default)

[personal profile] reconstitution 2016-12-21 08:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, that's something I don't have.

[ That fine emotional control is more like a time bomb and the detonation is a mystery to everyone. ]
axiomed: (Let the curtain fall on me)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-12-22 01:18 am (UTC)(link)
[ He chuckles. ]

Well, you do to some degree. We all do.
reconstitution: (Default)

[personal profile] reconstitution 2016-12-22 05:44 am (UTC)(link)
A laughable degree, at the very least.

[ He is just very good at pretending. ]
axiomed: (I'll go through it all with you)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-12-22 06:03 am (UTC)(link)
Mmm. I don't think so. I think you do have it but sometimes it worries you. Because it lingers between Winter and the Soldier.
reconstitution: (Default)

[personal profile] reconstitution 2016-12-22 06:12 am (UTC)(link)
[ The Winter Soldier is a larger part of him, but it will always be the part he's concerned about. Whoever he is now-- Winter, or even some semblance of Bucky.. he doesn't know, but the Soldier will always be lurking in the dark crevices. ]

I can't say it doesn't make sense.
axiomed: (My rebel my hope)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-12-22 06:43 am (UTC)(link)
Well, we tend to separate aspects of ourselves. How I behave in my school is vastly different to how I behave here.
reconstitution: (Default)

[personal profile] reconstitution 2016-12-27 04:40 am (UTC)(link)
I hope that means you're more relaxed here than you are at your school. [ He wants this to be a place where Charles doesn't have to worry. ]
axiomed: (When I met you)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-12-27 07:42 am (UTC)(link)
[ He rubs his chin, considering this. ]

I have less responsibilities, but I do miss my students greatly. They've been a huge support to my well-being.
reconstitution: (Default)

[personal profile] reconstitution 2016-12-28 05:17 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm sure you do. They're a constant presence that you don't have here.

[ Maybe they'll be graced with the presence of his students so Charles can at least have that, too. ]
axiomed: (Let me cross a very fine line)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-12-29 02:54 am (UTC)(link)
It certainly feels weird not having them call on me to break up an argument or to avoid their homework.
reconstitution: (Default)

[personal profile] reconstitution 2016-12-29 03:43 am (UTC)(link)
How many students do you have?
axiomed: (Anyone in there?)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-12-29 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, not that many. Fifty at least. They're usually all teenagers, since our powers usually hit us during puberty.
reconstitution: (VhUjEgg)

[personal profile] reconstitution 2016-12-29 03:52 am (UTC)(link)
'Not that many', he says. I'm sure it's plenty when they're all hollering for you at once.

[ Because that's how teenagers do. ]
axiomed: (They could talk all night)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-12-29 04:51 am (UTC)(link)
[ He chuckles. ]

I do employ other teachers. They know me best but I'm quite sure they spend more time trying to get away from me than seeking me out.
