Iskaulit Mingle - Problems with Psychics

Who: Anyone on the Iskaulit!
Broadcast: If you'd like?!
Action: Iskaulit!
When: Today, as Sora's augment glitch starts.

[It's your average day on the Iskaulit. Absolutely nothing seems out of place initially, but without any warning- you might find yourself or your friends experiencing some problems. What's up on that?

In other words, it's an Iskaulit mingle with a twist! Come on in everyone! You don't need to interact with Sora to have it effect you, so feel free to start your own threadstarter! Or talk to Sora, that's cool too. ]

[He rolls onto his back, somewhere between laughing and sighing.] I dunno. Where's my pride? [He waves a hand, goes to sit up.] I'm fine.

[Maybe, but she's still running the tricorder over him, just to be safe. Fortunately, there's only a little bruising, nothing worse.]

I won't tell anyone. [Grin.] Especially not Jim.

I'm usually on that side of the tricorder. [The tricorder even looks different. He sits up, sighs, and looks down the hallway. Looks innocuous enough. He knows better, intimately.] Especially not Jim, yeah. Thank you. That's the last thing I want to deal with.

[He'd never let him live it down.]

Strange feeling, isn't it? [She snaps the tricorder closed and tucks it into her pocket.] But then everything about our situation is strange.

[Not the least of which being the fact that the last time she met Dr. McCoy, he was an elderly man puttering around her sickbay on the Enterprise-D, passing along his wisdom - as well as grumpy proclamations about the old days.]

[That sounds about right, honestly.

Actually, no. He'd be surprised to find out he lives that long.

He pushes himself to his feet and shakes his head.]
Here I thought nothing could surprise anymore.

When I stop being surprised, then I'll know it's time to retire.

[He snorts. Honestly, some days he'd like to retire.] So I guess we're watching our step. It's never just one malfunction.

No, though honestly, this is relatively mild, compared to some other things they've done.

[He's brushing imaginary dust from his sleeves, straightening his shirt, as he answers that.] Do I want to know?
dancingmd: (pursed lips)

[She raises her eyebrows.]

How does uncontrollable tap dancing sound to you?
notanoptimist: (i'm not seeing this)

[personal profile] notanoptimist 2016-12-12 02:17 am (UTC)(link)
Absolutely horrific.

[And he does, yes, sound horrified.]

[Dryly:] A fun day, let me tell you.
