[ It's about time. Pheobus' Crow isn't generally one to feel at all claustrophobic but between the strange hair-changing girl and the captain wannabe (though now he supposes he actually is captain, of all the misfortune) he's more than ready to spread his wings and work out the irritable little kinks that have been starting to build in the back of his mind.

The moment they're docked and the main doors open, Crow is gone from the ship and takes to the air. While the mall strip-like areas remain oddly bare and unwelcoming there's at least plenty of room for him to spread his wings and ample space to perch. The courtyard looks nice and all that, but something about having the vacuum of space above his head isn't quite so comforting as an actual roof.

So if you happen to be making your way through the outer ring of the way-station you might just hear the sound of a crow, cawing. Or maybe you're just crazy. Birds in space? Pshaw. ]

[ Well technically he'd be Believed flesh and blood... He wasn't born or anything in the traditional sense. But yes. Pheobus' Crow will turn soon enough and catch a glimpse of someone a bit off to his side before he hops and turns himself around for a better look.

[they say that crows are intelligent animals with functioning memories, right? well, time to test the theory. along with a few others at the same time.

lifting a couple of fingers to his lips, he gives another one of those high-pitched, obnoxious whistles that he did over the network. it's not quite as ear-splitting as when the speakers had amplified it, but it should at least be an annoying shade of familiar.]

[ Oh don't worry--he recognizes it. He recognizes it immediately and responds just as swiftly with a scorning series of caws, flapping his wings even though he remains stationary.

He needs a way to turn this guy off in real life. ]

[he chuckles and gives a little wave. not expecting the bird to really be sentient.

slowly getting over those recent blackbird-related visions, bit by bit.]

Not so bad when there's only one of you, I suppose.

[ By all means; he's intrigued by Tek's apparently pleased reaction at having found him capable of speech. Normally people react with a little more surprise. And awe. He misses the awe. ]

On the contrary--I'm very surprised.

I have a generally lukewarm opinion of animals... [if the crow hadn't noticed already] ...So, the fact that I'm excited at all should say something.

I am known as Phoebus' Crow...but most tend to short it to simply "Crow." You may call me whatever you see fit. [ Since he isn't picky about his titles or anything unlike most Tales. He tends to get called a lot of things, being a servant and all that. 'Vermin' was pretty popular a few centuries ago. ]

Phoebus', hmm? [he folds his arms, grinning and thoughtful]

Who is he? ...Are you his pet or something?

I was, once. A long time ago when such stories still mattered. [ Phoebus Apollo hadn't become a Fairy Tale like him; couldn't. The divine couldn't be given mortal form the way belief could be and thus he'd lost his fictional Master the moment he'd come into existence. ]

[ Now see, that's the sort of look Crow actually likes. That's a schemer's smile, someone unkind and who enjoys making things miserable for other people. ]

[that is so the look on his face as he very briefly considers the possible consequences of his actions... and totally disregards them.]

He's tall, wears a lot of black. His hair matches it, save for a little bit of white in his bangs. He can be quite obnoxious.

Oh, that fellow. The coward. [ SORRY ROBIN HE CALLS IT AS HE SEES IT you let a little birb like him ruffle your feathers just by existing. ]

[oh god no... oh he can't...

this hits him as the absolute funniest thing in the entire world, and he has to brace a hand on his knee as he doubles over laughing.

[ Phoebus' Crow feels like he is missing something here...but obviously this guy seems to know the other. And all the laughing he's doing is showing off some miiiighty strange-looking pearly whites.

Yeah he thinks he's going to stay up here for now. ]

I wouldn't call it much of a meeting. He spoke to me, glared some, and then toddled off in a huff.
