Who: Phoebus' Crow, anyone else.
Broadcast: n/a.
Action: Way-station
When: ...Now?? Oct 10th.
[ It's about time. Pheobus' Crow isn't generally one to feel at all claustrophobic but between the strange hair-changing girl and the captain wannabe (though now he supposes he actually is captain, of all the misfortune) he's more than ready to spread his wings and work out the irritable little kinks that have been starting to build in the back of his mind.
The moment they're docked and the main doors open, Crow is gone from the ship and takes to the air. While the mall strip-like areas remain oddly bare and unwelcoming there's at least plenty of room for him to spread his wings and ample space to perch. The courtyard looks nice and all that, but something about having the vacuum of space above his head isn't quite so comforting as an actual roof.
So if you happen to be making your way through the outer ring of the way-station you might just hear the sound of a crow, cawing. Or maybe you're just crazy. Birds in space? Pshaw. ]

Which is why her head jerks up as she hears a crow. Is that.. a bird? It takes her a while to actually see the bird]
Oh... [she murmurs to herself] Just like the one on the video feed...

It's too bad he isn't the snacking sort. She looks like the type of person to pity poor animals and dote upon them.
He chooses to warble at her rather than scorn. ]

After waving she rolls her wheelchair to the side and begins to type something on her communicator. Not a text that she will send, but a list of things, her budget and things that she thinks she can afford. Every once in a while she glances up from her typing to see what the bird is doing, then looks back down to her work]

he'd made it all the way across the courtyard, and he's already trying to figure out whether he should rally with the others and make a plan, or... just buy food (or booze! or smokes!) right now and tell them to deal with it. or not tell them at all!
but the cawing of a crow interrupts him. he startles a little. he looks around and up, because there cannot possibly be a crow out he--
oh. oh, there it is. hey.]

he didn't expect to stumble across a crow, and riku immediately backs up a few steps.
he's never really been much of a birdwatcher, but he's rather familiar with the raven that used to perch on maleficent's shoulder, so he's kind of stiff for a few precious moments, staring phoebus' crow down.
... but then, he relaxes when he hears the caw. ] Right--crows caw, ravens don't.
Hard to tell when I can't see that well.

And the of course there's the oddly bleached colour of his hair. He didn't think old-man-silver was a Thing for the general youth. ]

2/3 LMAO well we know who actually can't tell crows and ravens apart, it's this girl right here
he's friends with a talking mouse king.
riku sighs, shifts out of his stance, and presses the heel of his hand against his eye. ] Sorry. Guess the trip made me jumpy.

Well... I can't see much. You're more of a blur... so telling what size you are wouldn't be right, anyway. [ by 'too well', he really means 'i'm practically as blind as a bat'. ] I've had some experiences with ravens, so I know what they sound like. Process of elimination, right?
[ a moment; ]
Are you a passenger like everyone else?

it's eerie, for all the reasons it unsettled him before, and it's also familiar. he remembers what he saw through the video feed.
so, braving the empty sky above him, Tek wanders out to the middle of the courtyard to stand and listen.]
