[ It's about time. Pheobus' Crow isn't generally one to feel at all claustrophobic but between the strange hair-changing girl and the captain wannabe (though now he supposes he actually is captain, of all the misfortune) he's more than ready to spread his wings and work out the irritable little kinks that have been starting to build in the back of his mind.

The moment they're docked and the main doors open, Crow is gone from the ship and takes to the air. While the mall strip-like areas remain oddly bare and unwelcoming there's at least plenty of room for him to spread his wings and ample space to perch. The courtyard looks nice and all that, but something about having the vacuum of space above his head isn't quite so comforting as an actual roof.

So if you happen to be making your way through the outer ring of the way-station you might just hear the sound of a crow, cawing. Or maybe you're just crazy. Birds in space? Pshaw. ]

[ Ah, that's never not fun. If he could only smile to himself. Youth were always a boundless source of entertainment. ]

My mistake~ [ But he doesn't sound particularly sorry at all, and finally he hops down from above and flaps his way to a nearby bench so he can per along the back of it, side-stepping his way to a more comfortable spot. ]

Afraid I don't much believe in the divine though.

[limitstorm]

[ a sigh as he tries to calm and let the embarrassment fade. jeez... a crow, making him bluster? that's new. when he moves, riku's gaze follows, and he reorients himself. ]

Neither do I, but I don't know what else you call someone like that.

[nevermor]

You're sure it isn't some manner of costume? [ A brief pause. ] Or delusion?

[ Because he's on a ship with Del and she's....yes. Yeah. ]

[limitstorm]

I'm sure. My senses've never lead me down the wrong road before.

[ he'd seen through zexion's illusion before, because of his dark sense. he's fairly sure michael is no different. ]

[nevermor]

[ Now that one's going to need a little more explanation, because as far as he's aware humans in general don't have great senses... ]

[limitstorm]

[ riku visibly hesitates.

phoebus' crow has been fairly forthcoming with what riku's asked of it... it feels wrong to back out when he's asked a question, so he averts his eyes as he thinks of how to explain. ]

I've got a power that lets me sense people and things. I guess, it's kind of like echolocation--I can tell where things are, even if I can't see them that well. And I can tell what kind of person someone is... more or less.

[nevermor]

Ah. [ There's something similar to that effect in Crow's own world actually. It's not quite what Riku is capable of per say, but it's close enough for him to have some sort of comparable notion to explain it. ]

You have some gift for magic I presume? [ Bene. ]

[limitstorm]

[ rubbing the back of his neck... ]

I do. I can still do some spells, but it looks like they've blocked a lot of my powers, here.

[nevermor]

"They"? [ Phoebus' Crow cocks his head. ] You know who is it has plucked us all up without warning?

[limitstorm]

I wish.

[ his expression changes to a glower. ]

But it's someone with a lot of power, to take all of us from so many worlds--and some of us twice. It's not normal.

[nevermor]

Some of us twice...? [ Now what exactly does he mean by that, Crow wonders. Because to him it comes across as someone who has been here twice and therefor may have some experience...but Riku's delivery suggests otherwise. ]

[limitstorm]

People've said that this is like a place they've been to before--that they were taken from their homes, dropped in one place, and now they're in another. [ he shakes his head. ] That's not normal.

Once, sure... but twice? That's weird. [ he's never met people who worldhopped more than once besides himself and sora. and, of course, the gang. ] Especially when no one meant to come here. Whoever brought everyone here is powerful.

[nevermor]

So you're sure it's a "someone" and not a "something"? [ Because his money's on the latter admittedly. Whatever's got them here isn't singular, and it can't be human. ]

[limitstorm]

Maybe a mastermind and a bunch of followers... [ he'd agree--it can't just be one person. ] As long as it's got a consciousness, it's a someone. They've got to want us here, or none of this would work.

[nevermor]

I will admit it all seems rather pointless... The constant heckling is most inconvenient.

[limitstorm]

[ he makes a noise of agreement before sitting down, pressing the heel of his hand against his eye. ]

We've only been here around a week. Maybe we'll find out more. I don't think there's any other way than waiting.

[ ugh. he hates waiting. now he knows how kairi feels. ]

[nevermor]

Do you intend to leave the station then? Or are you planning on investigating it before you depart. [ Try doing it for a whole year Riku THEN YOU'LL SEE. ]

[limitstorm]

[ YEAH he already hates this he is so glad kairi gets to train now ]

I'm not a pilot--I wouldn't know how to fly one of these ships, anyway, even if it wasn't on auto-pilot. Even if I tried, it probably wouldn't have enough fuel to reach another planet.

That voice said that we were gonna be close to one later in the month, and if we stopped here, maybe they're getting fueled up. That'd mean they probably only have a week's worth of fuel, and it might not last.

[nevermor]

So you do mean to follow that large ship. [ Him? He's perfectly happy to stay on the station and far, far away from his self-proclaimed "captain." That and there's much more room to fly around here like this. It's a much better environment. ]

[limitstorm]

Either one's a risk. [ but it looks like most people plan to follow the mothership--and he has to make sure that all of them get home. ] I'll take my chances. Maybe there's something on that planet that could give us an idea of what's in store.

What about you?

[nevermor]

Can't stand those cramped ships. It's much more pleasant for me here even if the courtyard appears to be entirely fake~ Fowl aren't meant to be cooped up in tiny quarters. [ Budgies and lovebirds aside. Weirdos. Crow tilts his head. ]

Ideally, I shall wait for a suitable Master to come along.

[limitstorm]

[ riku blinks at him--and where he would usually not ignore the rest of crow's statement, he seems all-focused on... ]

A suitable... what?

[nevermor]

[ Ah, good. Phoebus' Crow had hoped he would. He knows it tends to garner interest or confusion and that is exactly what the Tale had banked on. He's glad to see that even after two thousand years, Humans never failed to rise to the occasion. ]

Master. The sort with servants, mind you. I've been made aware that there are several other more...liberal interpretations of the concept, but rest assured that is not the particular one I propose.

[limitstorm]

[ riku relaxes--crow can't know what's on his mind... though he wonders what exactly he means. ]

So you're looking for some sort of king, or noble...? I guess I'll keep my eyes peeled. I don't know anyone like that.

Oh, I'm not that picky. It can be anyone really, so long as they fit the right criteria. [ He notes the way Riku's demeanour changes curiously. Phoebus' Crow wonders what that was, just now... Hmm. ]
