[It sure is a lovely day actually pretty much indeterminate time period out here in the vast darkness of space, isn't it? I bet everyone's enjoying themselves, getting a chance to get off their dinky little ship and stretch their legs. Even on this shitty, empty little waystation.

Where are you, droot flooters? What are you up to? Stay out of trouble, now.]

[ooc: hi everyone! I thought I'd give this a try and see how the game liked it. What we have here is a mass mingle post. Rather than everyone making a bunch of different posts about landing on the station, everyone is invited to post a parent comment with their character out and about, doing something. Everyone else is invited to look at who's posted, tag them, post their own parent comments, thread jack, tag around and generally have a grand old time! It should hopefully be a nice low-pressure way to do some action tagging with each other.

[She looks amused.] Are you anxious for me to invite you?

[he just shrugs! all cute-like]

[What a silly guy. She shrugs and turns away from him. Repeated:]

Please yourself. [She isn't mad she's just not going to baby this]

[he doesn't know what else to do but... fall in step beside her, to follow??]

[She grins at him in a friendly way but doesn't say anything, just makes her way towards the tree and jumps for the lower bough she was using as a pullup bar once again.]

[for a minute, he just watches, marveling a little.

when he gets psyched up enough to join in though, he... has to find a slightly smaller tree, with a lower branch. the bars he's used to from home were within easy reach when stretching up--picking up his legs up off the ground instead of jumping up to grab it. makeshift pullup bars in slummy houses can only be so much.

so, he joins in to get himself some exercise! and he's got a pretty good amount of upper body strength for being such a little guy... but he's not up to the shape he's used to being in. he's going to tire out pretty quick.]

[She's gonna bang out twenty, huffing under her breath with the exertion. Then she drops and grins bemusedly at the little guy. She picked up a trainee, huh? Levi would make fun of her. She's either going to wait for Nel to struggle through his set, or start them off on a new thing, if he sticks with her.]

[Nel doesn't make it through as many, and he's wincing a little when he's done, but... yeah no he totally seems up for more.

he could really use the endorphins, honestly, and he misses having something to do]

[She gets it... so, if he's gonna give it a shot.]

Three laps! You ready?

[he wheezes at the thought of running three, he knows he can't make it, but he's grinning and nods anyway]

Then let's go! [She takes off! Running isn't the scouts concentration, but cardiovascular fitness is important for them, so she works at it. She might take pity and stop it after two if Nel looks like he's about to die, though.]

[put him in a club, give him adrenaline and his drugs, and he won't stop moving all night. but without anything to give him extra fuel or take off the strenuous edges, he tires out pretty fast.

he can't even make it a full two before he's jogging to a stop, bracing his hands on his knees while he struggles to catch his breath.]

[You know, she'll turn around and jog back to him then. She gives him a comforting thump on the shoulder.]

You need some water!

[he grins in apology and exhaustion]

Sorry I couldn't keep up... I'm not very good at running...

Go get a drink! I'll be in the center.

Okay...

[give him a minute to wind down, catch his breath, and come back with some water]

[She's in the center as promised, starting through some basic strength stuff. She's been at this whole thing for a while, so she's already kind of dripping sweat and beginning to really feel it. At the same time it's normal for her. Hange pauses to wave at him anyway.]

You feel up for more?

[he offers the container of water out to her once he's close enough. he's still smiling, but he looks tired. this is already more than he's done in a long time--barring a few flights for his life here and there.]

Yeah. What next?

[Aw, how sweet. She accepts it and takes a drink before handing it back.]

Core and upper body! If you know some different exercises, you should speak up.

[he shakes his head]

I don't know anything special, really.

Well, then I can teach you what I know. You aren't one of my recruits, so you're not obligated to continue if it feels like too much, all right?

[he's just going to keep this up until he passes out]
