Who: Everyone
Broadcast: Yes
Action: Lato'li's orbit and also planetside.
When: Forward dated to 11/15.
[The Interceptor Fleet moves into position, waiting for the last few shield generators to fall. And in the early hours of the 15th, they do. The shield dissolves with a blip as if it was never there, leaving the man-eaters as prone as their prey. The Interceptors send out a transmission-- an unholy mix of Cockney and Australian that graces every available communicator-- if they answer it.]
We’re firin’! Do yer worst, Vieziri! We’re gonna kick yer sorry arses so hard you’ll kiss the moons!
[Five Interceptor ships swoop out of the dark and unload their various weaponry onto the Vieziri warships. At the same time, people stranded on the planet below ready the anti-aircraft guns onto their makers. And of course there is the Fleet itself, battered and yet beautiful across the velvet sky, as they fire everything they have.
Now the Vieziri start moving. Though the big red ship can’t do much maneuvering, the rest of the Vieziri warships certainly can. They fire back at the Interceptors and whoever else fires at them, willing to defend their leader and lose their lives in the process.
Luckily, the Interceptors have their own daring ships, which may look familiar to those who were here for the raider attack. One is emblazoned with racing stripes and flames all along the hull, and it moves so fast it nearly enters hyperspace. It’s there and gone in a flash, weaving past the enemy in crazy thrillseeking loops. Still another Interceptor ship is painted red and orange with a gold plate near the front, which reads BAMF with no explanation. This one has guns aplenty and easily weathers any duel it gets into. The third Interceptor ship is beautiful gold and black, sleek as hell and engineered with sense; this one packs the most gadgets and formidable guns of all calibers, and appears to do the most damage. Trailing behind is a much smaller ship, so nondescript it almost doesn’t stand out at all-- that is, until it forms a barrier to absorb some oncoming fire and reflect it back at the Vieziri.
There’s one ship that’s missing, though-- the one that was blown up several months ago after the heist. In its place is a small black ship that runs invisible to radar, sweeping past with silent speed as it lets loose a barrage of photon missiles onto the Vieziri flagship.
Down below, the Vieziri come out in full force-- one last stand before the warlord falls, trying to finish their fell rituals. Some of them rush the encampments, some go for the cities. Near the restored comms tower, a cloaked figure with a plain white mask fights their way through the onslaught using a plasma blade and a laser rifle.
After an hours-long siege, the big warship finally takes too much fire and breaks apart, lighting up the sky with falling shards like stars. The biggest debris burns up in orbit, but little pieces still rain down. It signals the end as the Vieziri begin to retreat both on ground and in the air. The loss of their leadership leaves them scattered and panicked.
The Fleet has won the day, but as the sun rises again over the wreckage, there is still plenty of work to be done.]
[ooc: Feel free to assume the Interceptors are helping your ships! The gold and black ship can be hailed and will give responses, as she’s been the main point of contact during this plot. You can also run into Zhade, though tags will be slow for both accounting for RL things. Please mark Zhade or Interceptors in the header of your toplevel if you’d like NPC interaction.
Any questions should be asked on the plot post for phase two.]

So while whatever universe they were from sounded like it was a lot safer now, Remy wasn't going to rub it in Thor's face.] Sorry for ya loss.
no subject
[Said easily enough - it's been a while since it happened. Thor wants to stay practical about this, even if he has a thousand emotionally charged questions he could ask. If Loki had still been around, he would have gone and blasted them at him instead.]
It only adds to the strangeness of this place, if that's true.
no subject
People come 'nd go, some come back. Not all remember bein' here before, it's a bit of a lottery. Or if they be, doesn't mean will be from the same universe ya from. Got few gone through or still be 'round that know me from where they from, but I don't know them, or they very different from those I do know.
Kinda just gotta roll with it, can't do much 'bout it from our side of it all.
no subject
That is odd indeed. That they would know you but you don't know them. I am guessing it's not due to coming from a different point in time?
[That part's been explained to him already.]
A different universe, instead...
no subject
There's, [That word was drawn out, a drawl to it thanks to his accent as Remy considered his next words.] That side of it as well, 'nd has happened the other way 'round, kinda; me bein' further in the future than a friend of mine had been. I knew what she would do before she even had a chance to have it happen to her.
It all just adds to the confusion of this place, could be comin' to a place where someone hasn't met ya yet, or, [A semi sympathetic look to Thor with the next part. Sure, Remy
hateddidn't like Loki, but he knows what it's like to lose a loved one, a family member. And if he had the chance to get them back again...] After they're gone.no subject
[Which is... upsetting, in a way. He could have had another chance with Loki. But it seems fate wasn't going to allow that.]
For what purpose would these Atroma take people from different times like this?
no subject
Realizing his voice had taken more of a somber tone than he had planned it to, Remy gave himself a mental shake, moving out of those thoughts. There were no time for them.] Why do kids burn ants with a magnifyin' glass? Somewhere between curiosity 'nd cruelty, if I was bein' morbid 'bout it all. [Hm, seemed he didn't fully shake that mood after all.] Goin' to guess it all just be for the ratin's, creatin' drama 'nd all that.
Or maybe they really got no idea what they doin'. Gotta be some alien life out there that doesn't have the same concept of time as, well, humans 'nd I am guessin' Asgardians would have... though goin' to guess ya'll see time a little different from us too, considerin' guessin' ya be a wee bit older than the average human.
no subject
[It's just the perspective of it that changes. When your life lasts for millenia, it's less useful to mark time in single years. They come and go from places and find entire generations have passed in between. Earth was like that. Thor knows, rationally, that he's going to outlive everyone he knows there in what amounts to a blink of an eye in his own lifespan. He just doesn't see it as a reason not to have those relationships while he can.
Thor taps a finger against his halberd, wondering if the Atroma have a different view of time than any of them.]
If they have access to many worlds, and many times, it may be they have other standards they live by.
no subject
All 'bout just tryin' to make the most of it, 'nd I'd rather have fun doin' this then stressin' out over the 'whats' 'nd 'whys' of it all. Been there, done that, wasn't worth the wrinkles or possible grey hair it would cause.
no subject
[Such as: the battlefield they're standing on, though the battle is long past.]
I hope that we are now able to get these ships back into the air, after destroying the guns here.
no subject
The sooner they got away from this planet, the better.]
Ah, ain't too worried 'bout that, the Atroma don't like to leave their stars behind, even if they want to be. Tend to get dragged back to the Fleet. Heard of those who try 'nd stay on planets suddenly wakin' back up on their ships, so don't doubt they got some sort of magical or technological way of gettin' them back working faster than should make sense.
