Who: Everyone!
Broadcast: Always possible one will sneak in
Action: TRASH PLANET! aka The Baruut System
When: October 2018
[When life gives you garbage, make projects of varying scopes and sizes! Site see in the lovely trash-covered vistas. Make a racing pod thing or go gambling. And remember the first rule of arena fighting is... not the face? Actually, I'm not sure if there are rules, but you can talk about it. It's pretty public anyway.

[Vash has been exploring the junk around the place and tinkering. Thanks to a lot of bartering and discussion with some of the locals Vash has eventually found someone who could possibly make him a donut making machine and he's just got to have it! So he did. After he bought it Vash realised he had a small problem. It will require donut powder to work. What if he can't find more powder out in space!?]
Hey! Can you cook? Or, just good at figuring out powders? [Vash is suddenly shoving a mysterious white powder in your face.] Do you think you could find a way of making this?
Arena
[The upgrade to the Twin Roses he wanted to help pay for and the donut maker didn't come cheap. Someone said they'd give him a discount if he showed up to a fight in the Arena. Which is how he wound up in the ring.
At first it's just some fancy shooting for a crowd of people who like "antique" guns. Shooting at far distance targets. Hitting a rapidly moving target. Quick fire drawing his pistol. It's all very easy for Vash and he could do it all in his sleep. With each round the crowd becoming more and more excited by the show.]
Next round! [An announcer excitedly calls out.] Live combat! The challengers approaches!
[Now Vash suddenly looks nervous.] Wait-- what did they just say? [The door is opening.] How did I do this again!?
First blood wins!
[Are you his next challenger? Or maybe just watching in the crowd?]

Whoa whoa whoa. Don't go shoving mysterious powders in my face. I'm not into that.

how fitting for Vash to get a Coran reaction icon
I'm not allowed much in the kitchen. [And his tone says it's for a good reason. He takes a closer look at the powder.] Isn't it one of the powders we have in the fleet kitchens?

[Ben had been on his best behavior since getting here, believe it or not, but this place - yeah, he can't keep it up anymore. He hates it, this stupid trash planet and it's stupid trash everything, and one bad decision leads to another and he ends up picking fights. Which y'know, works for the arena and all, but it doesn't work outside.
So you might catch him goading someone into taking a swing at him, Ben mouthing off at some asshole - he only usually goads on the bigger assholes, to be fair - or picking a fight with someone twice his size because why the fuck not, right? Or if you're incredibly lucky, which I bet you are, you'll get to see Ben get what he deserves.
Which is someone literally picking him up and throwing him into the nearest dumpster or trash heap, because he doesn't know when the quit when he's ahead. It's okay, he's used to it]
b. arena;
[sometimes he remembers to pick the fights here. He isn't fighting for anything in particular, just fighting for the sake of fighting and burning off frustration, so hey, if you need a few credits? Go toss this guy in to get 'em for you. He'll do it, he doesn't care.
Just don't make him fight the robots. The last one almost ripped his arm off and he wouldn't shut up about it for twenty minutes]
c. shopping;
[when he isn't being a menace he eventually ducks around to find if any of these places or dumpster heaps have anything worth picking up. He isn't all that great at building shit from scratch, and he doesn't have an augment to do that, but you never know what you'll find, and he's into weird antique shit anyway.
And he's always on the lookout for parts for his arm, so there's that. You'll probably hear him first before you find him, though, trying to haggle prices down even further because dude, he could get this so much cheaper down the way, in better condition, and so forth]
d. wildcard;
[he can and will be all over so, if none of the above work, come up with something else! Please feel free to save Ben from himself]
A for ben pleAse
Enough! [He exclaims with an authority, getting in between Ben and his opponent. His hand and arm is extended towards the other guy to keep him back, which means Ben is nudged by the leftover stump of Shiro's right arm.] If you like fighting so much, there's an arena for it.
[Nevermind the fact he says the word "arena" with the greatest distaste.]

When the smaller of the two guys lands with a thump, Taako nearly spits his drink out from laughter. He can't help himself.
Unfortunately, that means the bigger guy is all jazzed up for the fight to continue and he turns on Taako. Oops.]
No way, thug muffin, I'm good over here. You go.... that way.
[And he pulls a small leather loop out of his bag. The thing burns away and the guy starts floating up off the ground, disappearing about twenty feet up into the air and screaming the entire time.]

Which is why instead of landing directly on trash Ben has his fall somewhat broken by being first thrown into Vash who happened to "accidentally" walk in the way as Ben is thrown. They both get to fall into the pile of trash together.] Whaaa! Get off me!

[Prompto's out doing what he loves most. Camera in hand, he's all over the place - crouching, rolling upside-down, climbing up trash heaps for a better angle (kinda wobbly. Watch out for stray junk!)
If he's not in the more populated areas, he's out in the more scenic regions. Picking his way around the Cliffs of Knorst or scouting around for the perfect shot of the lake.
If someone happens to get in his way, he might wait patiently for them to move. But he's more likely to decide they'll make a good model.]
Oh hey! Scooch a little to the left?
b. digging in the trash
[And when he's not running around looking for things to add to his photo collection, he's out scavenging. The guns he has are great. He got one of his babies back in one of the last systems. And Kaname - the angel - got him holsters, so he's got at least two on him at all times. But what he wants now is something bigger. Something that will pack a mighty punch.
He's got a photo with him that he keeps referring to, plucking up pieces, and then tossing them over his shoulder when he decides they won't work.
All he wants is a giant, weaponized circular saw. How hard can it be?]

[This planet was... something all right. Something Remy really didn’t care for. Sure, there was a lot of things to buy and do, but he also felt like anything he got would break the instant they left the system, like a product breaking just after the warranty was finish on it.
However, it did have something he normally wouldn’t take part in, but something he felt he needed: the Arena. He had been keeping quiet about how his powers were developing, and this would give him a chance to try out a few things he hadn’t been able to really put into practice. Developments in his powers that were, well, a little scary if he didn’t get a good grip on them.
The first fight he had signed up for had been against a person, to warm up against and to test to see if they would be tough enough to deal with his powers. After that, Remy bumped it up a notch towards the monsters. He needed something that could take a hit and keep going, not something he would accidently kill. And it was quite a show, lots of flashes and explosions, dodging out of the way of attacks and making sure to land his own. He was certainly making the shows entertaining for those watching.
And for those watching from the Fleet and had a basic clue on his powers, they would notice the difference. That he moved faster and more agile than normal. His chargers were more powerful. The fact he could now hold a charge as long as he wanted to without it’s older short fuse, typically via his bo staff which he used as a heated and energized weapon until he threw the charge into the target. And in a fight where his opponent refused to come near him, attacking from afar, a steady gaze towards them sent them falling back in an explosion. Alive, but stunned.
He finally taps out after he has used up most of his energy and when he is sure if he stayed any longer that he would slip up and get hurt. Even then Remy managed to get beaten up a bit, he would need to sit down and take some time to bandage up, but it wasn’t anything serious.
Now outside of the ring, he’s going to relax, grab a drink or two, and maybe make a few bets on others who are still fighting.]
Wildcard:
[Anywhere else someone wants him.]

[All over the planet this month, the Vision can be found scavenging for parts. Whether it's bargaining with someone in the disorganized marketplace, scanning massive junk piles and digging out pieces himself, or listening for rumors and hot tips at several of the gathering places for professionals, he's looking for some very specific items. Care to ask what all these rare metals, wires, tubing, and other random bits are for? Have something you think he might find interesting? Want him to finish up so you can bargain for that super cool thing the merchant has on display? Go ahead!]
Freeform
[It's a big planet, and even a workaholic android can't spend the entire time poking through junk. There's bound to be some downtime in there.]
no subject
Oh--
[The sight takes her breath away. When people said Alloy Lake was green, she was picturing something closer to teal, not true emerald green, and something much smaller. This is practically a sea. And supposedly it's safe to swim in despite the color, or else Wanda wouldn't have bothered wearing a bikini under her clothes.]

Mikleo | ota
[It's not the most idyllic place as far as nature and aquatics go, but Mikleo's delayed training long enough, and beggars can't be choosers. Upon discovery of the lake, he fires a quick message off to the relevant parties - Sorey, Alisha, and Zaveid, at varying times - and goes to get himself ready for some solid training sessions.
He can be found at the base of the lake, a cozy, somewhat enclosed area, where the water is its cleanest and the terrain most natural, trees and greenery surrounding it, and he's twisting his staff about, firing off seraphic artes, freezing the surface of the water- mostly just reveling in the chance to stretch his magical legs, so to speak. (And to indulge in his own element, after that annoying stint of being a fire elemental.)
Anyone want to practice with him? He could do for a tussle, or even just a magic chat.]
b) shopping time, shopping time
[Mikleo's in a shop that focuses on houseware and supplies; all this talk on the network about cooking has reminded him that the Huntress is probably due for restocking, and he has some extra credits this month so he's browsing around. The only downside being none of the shopkeepers can actually see him, nevermind take his requests or his money. He'd tried communicating a couple of times using notepads, but that had sent at least one person shrieking to the back room, so that option's out.
Instead, exasperated, he's walking around and lifting random items off the shelves, examining them, deciding yes or no, and jotting it down in his little notebook if he decides he wants to come back for it later. Either one of his resonant friends can help, or he'll just drag Sorey back here later to make the purchases. He's focused mostly on what he's doing, so if someone happens to stumble across him - or at least, stumble across the objects he's invisibly levitating - he pays them little mind unless attention is called to it.]
Tch, of course they only have one in stock...
[Want to help? Or maybe just scream? He's not trying to spook anyone, but...]
((invisibility permissions/info!))
B
And then it speaks.
Well fuck him, someone is invisible in here. He leans his arms on the shelf and then reaches out tapping the object with one finger.]
If you're going for the unseen five finger discount, my dude, you should probably not talk while doing it.

[Keith was given a list of things to go get by Pidge and Ulaz, so here he was... They'd given him good price ranges to negotiate towards, too, because Keith was pretty ready to just SPEND ALL HIS MONEY on this project for Shiro's arm, but they wouldn't let him. The guideline helped, at least. And he was good at remembering what things looked like and how many they'd need, so he was navigating quite easily for someone who wasn't an engineer... mainly because he already knew exactly what he was looking for.
However, he was getting kind of short on locating things, and he still needed a few more items. Holding one of the parts that was hard to find in his hand, he finally just approaches someone.]
You know where I can find more of these?
=====
Racing (of course)
[When Keith wasn't shopping, he was racing. He'd managed to team up with a small crew that had been looking to hire a driver for their smashed together junk racer, and Keith was looking for a crew since the people he would have normally tried to talk into it were either busy or not in the Fleet. He was quickly working his way up the rank board.
Want to try to knock him down a peg or two? He could use some humbling.]
=====
Arena (because why not)
[Originally having signed up as a team with Lance for some monster fighting as a way to get in some more challenging training exercises, Keith ended up getting accidentally shuffled by a glitchy system into a few extra fights and teams. He didn't mind so much, really, and was fairly adaptable for that sort of thing, but he was a little nervous about the idea of having to fight against someone he actually might care about.
Hopefully, he was fighting with his friends against people he didn't know or some monsters...]

[ Very serious garbage mission, indeed. One meetup and a shuttle ride later, here they are, ready to scavenge the alien garbage. Which, admittedly, is quite a lot of... garbage. But that's fine; Glenn's dug through worse to find things they could use. So, he marches right on towards a pile, still a bit unnerved by not being properly armed. They may not have to keep an eye out for walkers here, but that certainly doesn't mean his guard is down.
He glances back at Daryl, a little upturn to the corner of his mouth. ]
Well, where should we dive in?
II: Solo Scavenging: OTA
[ Of course, you can also find him on his own, using what he's managed to glean between his engineering augment and his time here thus far to try to pinpoint anything useful. Maybe for a certain project going on, but also just in general terms. That means, naturally, he's built up a rather Can't blame a guy from what most would call the apocalypse for keeping an eye out for supplies. This means he has a slightly large stash, of course...
Every now and again, an avalanche is bound to happen. Fortunately, he's very quick about dodging them, if a bit sheepish. ]
That was totally the other guy.
[ There is no other guy, nor is he actually trying to convince anyone there is. ]

And, besides, he feels better if he's keeping an eye on his friend to make sure nothing happens. He thinks it's fair to be a little paranoid after.... Well. ]
