broadcast/action
[Calibrations sure were a mixed back of emotions. She's sure everyone's dealing with their own feelings on the matter, and sometimes a distraction can be a good thing. What better one than two new, honestly unexpected crew members.]
Good morning, I hope everyone slept well-- better than the past few weeks at least. I've got a few things I'd like to address, so I'll try to make this brief.
First, we'll welcome two new crew members. Messer Ihlefeld should be familiar to most of you by now. [Since he half lived in her office for the past year. She grins.] He's maintenance, so please feel free to make use of that. And Pavel Chekov, who is communications. I'm familiar with both of them, and I think everyone has the potential to get along just fine. I look forward to it. [Judging by her tone and smile, she sincerely does.]
Next, Messer and I are going to be in the kitchen this afternoon working on some dinner, enough for everyone. I think it'd be nice if we could all try and have a meal together-- voluntarily, of course. Please feel free to show up if you'd like to join us. No pressure if you're not comfortable with it, there will be leftovers if you'd like. Around 6:30 this evening should do it... [Kaname glances off screen for a moment then looks back.] Yep, consider dinner at 6:30 tonight.
There is another matter, but I believe that can wait. As usual if anyone has questions or concerns, you know where to find me.
[With that, the broadcast cuts out.]
[Action (OTA)- The rest of the time]
[Sunday Kaname will be checking on everyone after lunch, if she can find them, mainly to make sure they're doing all right and might be interested in dinner. She'll knock on the doors (and says her name) of personal quarters, but leave eventually if there's no response or no one answers. Anywhere else is fair game. With a smile and friendly greeting, she is happy to see her crew.
The rest of the month? Who knows? Try your luck.]

Dinner sounds great! If we find some place that has decent stock and vegetables, I can fix up some ramen some time. The hot sauce we have is pretty good, but the rest of it just isn't up to caliber.
Good. There are some vegetables in the community garden on the Iskaulit, but I don't know if they'd meet your requirements or not. If dinner with the crew becomes a regular occurrence, then I think switching off kitchen helpers would be a good way to add variety.

[His attempt to play that off as a joke is not all that successful. The unexpected transfer immediately after that fun vacation on the Marsiva has left him rather uncertain about everything, including the whole integrating-into-a-new-crew thing. This isn't his home. He hasn't met most of the people who live here. Kirk's going to think he abandoned the Tourist on purpose. Who fed his cat while they were all off dreaming. What's going on.]

And anyone who'd think Pavel would abandon something needs a reality check.]
Would you like me to show you around?

Hmm, maybe some vegetables from the community garden if they seem usable today.

Keith? [Carrying Q-Lulu, she's obviously not expecting anyone, but she composes herself quickly enough.] Go on in if you'd like, I'll be right behind you.

[ In the past, he considered his cooking skills to be, say, average. After meeting Taako? Yep, nope. Nothing compares. But that's okay. ]

Lorden Gesh - OTA
B. A fair amount of his free time is in the armory, cleaning and charging the sidearms as well as his own rifle. He got to do a little combat inside his dreams, but that's not the same as having a real enemy, and he's getting a little antsy. They wouldn't give them weapons if they weren't expected to use them at some point, right? He hadn't fired on the Marsiva when the opportunity arose, mostly because he didn't have a good enough reason to. It's not the same.
C. He can also be found in the kitchens, trying out various noodle recipes. Warning: he is using the hottest hot sauce known to man, and doesn't seem to realize it might cause problems for someone not expecting it. Gonna take him up on that taste-test offer?
D. Anything else that catches your fancy!]
C
[Hello, this is Prompto, and he loves spicy food.]
What are you working on?
no subject
Trying to figure out how to make stock with what we have. The noodles aren't bad, but I'm missing something besides greens and I'm not sure what else it needs.

C!
[ At some point, Kravitz happens to enter the kitchen while Lorden's trying out one of those noodle recipes. Smells pretty great, honestly - even with the sting of the hot sauce behind it all. He smiles and looks over, curious. ]
Making something hot over there?
:D
[Memories of watching the professionals do this every day only help a little. Trial and error is where it's at, especially since the ingredients he has to work with aren't the same at all.]
Not the same without pork broth, but the noodles are halfway decent. Want a bowl?
[If so, he'll dish up his current concoction: not bad at all given the supplies they have on the ship, but not as good as something made with actual fresh ingredients.]

[Prompto's first order of business is to grab all his guns and make sure they're still in good working order. He was gone for a long time - anything could have happened. They're also overdue for maintenence. His room lacks the space to really spread out, so the dining table is good, yes? Yes.]
[B]
Getting back into a routine is paramount. He spends a few days checking the ship over for any potential repairs. While still undecided on how he feels about Messer being on board, he's a little excited to have someone else around with repair and maitenence knowledge. And droids!
They're not Eeny, Meeny, Miney, and Jack, but he's happy to see cleaning droids again. (He's calling one of them Jack anyway.)]
[C]
[Any other time? He can be found with a camera in hand, in weird and awkward positions, trying to get interesting angles. Or maybe he's in the cargo hold, playing with the dogs, Umbra and Pryna.
Or surprise me!]
b!
Hey, you.

Hey! What's a girl like you doing in a place like this?

[Shuffles are always weird. This one in particular is disorienting because he shouldn't be going anywhere, right? He's already assigned to a ship. All his attempts to transfer in the past have been ignored, and he'd all but given up on it.
Yet... here he is, on the Bloodsport. Not the Blameless. Finally.
He takes some time to make sure- finds his room, checks for his belongings, make sure everything is in order. After that, the first day is spent essentially pilfering the Blameless of all of his belongings that weren't in his room- the bike, some cookware and spices, the extra cleaning bots that didn't automatically move with him, his... weird dog thing. He seems to be doing okay on his own, unloading the shuttle or reorganizing his new room, but he won't refuse help. Or maybe you just want to say hi to your new crew?]
( b. it's probably a lost cause. )
[Hey, it's Messer, hanging out in the hallway! What's he up to?]
You can't just live in there. Kaname doesn't like when you startle people.
[He's... talking to an air vent! That's weird, probably.]
( c. wildcardish )
[Messer will be visibly around and about more often than he usually is, kind of self-indulgently enjoying the fact that he's able to live properly on the Bloodsport now, instead of just skulking around and living off the office couch. He'll be working regularly in the kitchen whipping up something tasty, or fixing and tweaking the equipment on the ship, supervising his little space roombas... keeping busy, in other words.]
B
Is there someone living the vents now?
no subject
It's just the... dog. Daisy.
[Is it a dog?? He doesn't even know.]
