[ She has a smug grin on her face. ]

[For a moment, it doesn't seem like Joseph is connecting the dots on her implication as he somewhat gives her a blank stare. Really, he just can't believe Ino is suggesting what she's suggesting. It seems far more like something he'd suggest given when he knows of her personality so far.]

[Then he hops to his feet with a smirk, snickering.]

Oh, Ino, I would have never guessed such a devious mind was behind that sweet face of yours, but I do like the way you think.

[HE IS NOT HITTING ON YOU THO. PLEASE DO NOT HIT HIM.]

[ She puts a hand to her heart. ]

Devious? Me? I'm just offering to fix any accidents I might cause learning how to play.

I knew there was a reason I liked you.

[And not just because of her hot bod. Which he is not gonna check out again (at least not so obviously) because he likes his face the way it is and doesn't need her to rearrange it for him.]

[Speaking of which, he checks to be sure he's done bleeding and it seems like it's stopped. He'll be pocketing the hanky though instead of giving it back. He'll return it to her later after it's been cleaned and not covered in splotches of his blood.]

[ She gives him a suspicious look. ]

[He holds up both hands and even takes a half-step back.]

Just because you're an idiot doesn't mean you don't think about anything.

You'd be pretty surprised though by how little I can think.

[His head tilts a little to one side, brow furrowing.]

What's cup ramen?

You know, the little instant cups of ramen you can make in the microwave?

[He just looks even more confused with a blank stare and shrugs his shoulders. Microwave ovens aren't a thing for another six years for him.]

[ino]

[ It hasn't even occurred to her that he's from some time in the "past", technologically.

But she does remember that other worlds are a thing and maybe they don't have ramen in Jojo-land. ]

Do you ... know what ramen is at all?

[Joseph shrugs.]

Not really. It sounds foreign though. You cook it with a microwave? Why wouldn't you just use a stove or oven?

[Cooking with waves just seems very inefficient to him... Sure you can melt a candybar, but actually cooking something? Nah...]

[ino]

It's faster with the microwave, it only takes two or three minutes that way.

But it's a type of noodle soup, I guess. It's not bad, especially if you get it made fresh at an actual ramen stand, but he just eats the awful microwave kind for every single meal.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hold on. [He shakes his head.] Why do you keep saying the microwave?

[He thought maybe at first it was just a weird way of talking about microwaves, but it seems a little more pointed when she's referring to something as being "microwave kind" and somehow cooking two to three minutes.]

[ino]

Uh ... I guess you guys don't have that either, huh?

A microwave is a kitchen appliance that heats things up really fast. Like a mini-stove, except it cooks from the inside out, and you don't have to wait for it to heat up.

Huh, that sounds pretty handy. The only thing I know about the microwaves we have back home are that they're the waves used in radar. [He laughs.] Obviously not much use for a radar in the kitchen unless it can detect incoming empty stomachs.

[ She smiles. It was a dumb joke, but it was kinda cute ... ]

Yeah, those waves are what cooks the food.
