On this moon, you'll find a civilization that looks a lot like one's stepped into a wild west movie, hardened cowpolk and mutant horses and all. Will you become a vigilante, hunting bounties and stopping gangs from doing their dirty work? Will you go exploring planetside, with a cowboy hat and a stalk of wheat in your mouth to complete the look? Good luck with that; there is no wheat. This town ain't big enough for all you flooters, but make it so! For the ratings!

... We Keepers of the Moon are not well-thought of, in my homeland. To be called cats or coeurls in disparagement is not uncommon. It is a term of mockery and derision, that we are but beasts compared to the Hyur or Elezen. We are painted with a wide brush, that we all may be considered poachers or uncivilized. The Wood Wailers do as they please with women of our race, and even should danger befall us, they will not come to our aid.

My connection to the Conjurer's Guild protected me from the worst of it, yet even I heard such remarks throughout my childhood quite often. Marhi likely remembers similar events, and so she does not allow even the slightest disrespect to our race.
