Allen can see time rewinding here. The pieces of the statue come back together, reforming the statue. The pictures on the wall become whole again. And soon, everything is exactly the same as it was before he approached.

Except the messages are still there. "SAVE CHLOE" over and over at the base of the statue.

Voices come again. Just one excerpt this time, though. Max's voice is there this time, too.

"My powers... might not last, Chloe."
"That's okay - we will. Forever."

[Allen already knew about Max's powers, so he's not entirely surprised to see this happen- the statue come back into one piece. It's a little strange...how the messages are still there, but...]

[Okay, he can't help but smile at the words spoken a little. Was this Max's girlfriend? Huh. It's nice that she has someone.]

[He'll look around the room, seeing if he can see Max anywhere.]

In the direction he came from, Allen can see the view outside is getting worse. Storm clouds have moved in, and the wind is whipping the trees. A storm's coming, that's for sure.

And on the other end, there's Max. Sitting along on a couch at the far end of the exhibit, staring down at a photograph in her hands. She doesn't seem to have noticed Allen - or much of anything going on around her, really.

[That's...a worrying storm. He glances out the window at it, but then turn his attention back inside. Not much he can do about a storm, really]

[But he finally spots Max, and picks up his pace a little. He notices that she's looking at a photo and not at all at the gallery that's going on for her. So he'll speak up when he's near]

Found something interesting?

[timelapsed]

[ She glances up, startled for a moment, almost dropping the photo she's so invested in - a photograph of a blue butterfly, although out of focus.

Still, she smiles when she sees who it is. ] Whoa, Allen, when did you get here?

Ah- sorry! Didn't mean to startle you.

[He'll smile at her]

I just got here a few minutes ago. Are these all your photos?

Yeah. The shots are all mine. [ Or close enough to them. She could have sworn she tore up that shot she took of Victoria, for instance - and then rewound time before she even took it - but that's still up on the wall.

She's not sweating the details, though. If she were, she'd be wondering why she even has an exhibit in the first place. ]

Did you already have a look around?

They're really nice.

[And he gives a nod]

A little. I like that statue- is that a friend of yours? [Or girlfriend he wants to say, but teens. They get weird about stuff]

The statue? [ She glances at it. Who made that statue anyway? ]

Oh, yeah. That's Chloe. She's my partner in crime. Or my partner in time. [ Get it? Get it!? ]

...She's kind of the reason I have this freaky power to begin with.

[Your very gay feelings, that's who made it.]

Is that so? [He smiles a little at that]

How did that happen?

[ She glances down at the photograph in her hands. The out of focus butterfly. ]

She was... shot. I saw it happen, and then...

Then I found out I could rewind time. And I saved her.

It was almost like destiny, you know?

...I know what you mean. Powers...it's actually not uncommon for them to awaken in times of high emotions, or distress.

I'm not a huge believer in destiny. But, it's possible...without Chloe, your powers would've never manifested.

She was also the only person to know about them... until you came along, anyway. They were something that helped connect us.

She couldn't, uh, do what you do though. She'll be mad jealous if she ever finds out. [ Which would p much require her to show up in the fleet, and Max doesn't think that's very likely. ]

[He rubs the back of his neck]

I'll try not to rub it in, if she ever comes here.

Yeah, that's probably the best plan of action. Trust me when I say that you do not want to deal with an irate Chloe.
