Sweet dreams are made of these...
( for A-M characters )
Before you post your topcomment, please:
1. Check the first letter of your character's name as its written in our tags. A-M names comment here, and N-Z names go to the other post.
2. Make a note in your topcomment if anything especially triggering or graphic might show up in the Calibration. If you're not sure if something's worth noting or not, we suggest listing it anyway, just to err on the side of caution.
3. Put your character's name (it can be shortened or different from the tag, this time) in the subject of your comment. This will help visitors find you easily, and help us update the list below.
4. Post your comment! It's fine if everyone's Calibrations end up looking and reading very different from one another. As long as you're having fun and following our guidelines, you're good to go. :)
5. If you have any questions or concerns during Calibrations, you are welcome to send them towards the mod team at any time, as always.

Then back down at the photograph. The blue butterfly.
It still seems out of focus. ]
((Focusing on the photograph will result in a scene involving gun violence and death, FYI.
Though you've played the game it's nothing new to you, you might not want a poor pony to see that))only trauma here
Is she a friend of yours?
[And then he'll turn to squint at the picture, trying to focus on it. ]
oh god why; gun violence, death, drug reference, sudden change to prose
Anything else she would say is cut short when Cheese looks at that photograph. It focuses, all right, it focuses like somebody taking a picture would focus their camera, not like a photograph should at all.
Once it's in focus, though, Cheese Sandwich will find himself in a very different place. A girls' restroom. In a different body. Max's body.
There's the clicking of a camera, and his (her?) hand snatches the photograph that his (her?) instant camera just spit out. The blue butterfly, the focus of the photograph, flutters away.
Before he can even properly examine the photo that was just taken, there's the sound of a door being opened. A boy enters, and the scene that plays out is...
"It's cool, Nathan... Don't stress... You're okay, bro, just count to three. Don't be scared.... You own this school. If I wanted, I could blow it up! You're the boss..." He's obviously freaked out about something, but the way he gives himself a pep talk is not... healthy.
The door opens again, and the girl - the girl the statue was of, no less- enters.
"What do you want?"
"I hope you checked the perimeter, as my step-ass would say. Now, let's talk bidness."
"I got nothin' for you."
"Wrong! You got hella cash."
What follows is an exchange of threats and counter-threats, extortion as its finest. The girl knows Nathan sells drugs. What would his family think? What would the headlines say?
Max - Cheese - tries to remain hidden, afraid to come out.
It comes to a head, though. "I can tell everybody Nathan Prescott is a punk ass who begs like a little girl and talks to himself-"
And then Nathan pulls out a gun. "You don't know who the fuck I am or who you're messing around with!"
The girl backs up against the wall of the restroom, frightened. "Where'd you get that? What are you doing?" Nathan is up against her now, the gun pressed against her stomach. "Come on, put that thing down!"
"Don't EVER tell me what to do! I'm so sick of people trying to control me!"
Cheese - that is, Max - has a better view now, peeking further around the corner of the stalls they're behind. They can see Nathan completely in Chloe's space, the fear in Chloe's eyes.
"You are going to get in hella more trouble for this than drugs..."
"Nobody would even MISS your punk ass, would they!?"
"Get that gun away from me, psycho!" Chloe pushes Nathan back.
The gun fires.
"NO!"
Max emerges from her hiding spot, arm outstretched. She can see Chloe's expression - lifeless - as she falls. A thick red circle is on her shirt. Where she was shot.
....And then Cheese is back in the exhibit, staring at a photograph.
because that's why
Up until the gun comes out. Cheese knows guns. Mostly thanks to that psychopath Van Pelt, back in Paradisa. Humans and their guns, no good ever comes from them. It makes him glad he's from a species without fingers to pull triggers. He jumps at the sound of the shot, and then- he's not there any more.
He skitters back, falling off the couch and glancing around himself, dazed. Okay. Back in the gallery, ok. He sits up, still on the floor, and glances up at Max.]
Wow. Uh...geez. I didn't know...sorry.

Dude, are you okay? You're not looking so hot.

Uh...you didn't see any of that?

Did you....?
Travel back to the picture?

[That sounds suspiciously like magic, which is something Earth ponies definitely cannot do. Then again, he is a PARTY Earth pony, and they live by their own laws. He's never done anything like that before, though, and the Fleet has definately put a damper on his otherwise (ir)regular abilities. ]
...Sure looks that way. Yep.
