Outside, it's getting to the point where it's almost sunset, but not quite there just yet. Clay and Halley stand a few feet to the right of the door, Halley with her back against the wall and gaze to the side, arms crossed uncomfortably, while Clay stands in front of her, hands in his pockets and trying not to look nervous, but failing miserably.
Now that it's lighter outside, it's easier to see the two of them. Clay does indeed look younger, and while he's definitely toned, he's not quite as built as his present self. His hair looks even messier, and the visor and bandage he's always known for... are still there, of course. Halley is different, though. She does indeed have curly hair down to the middle of her back - dark blue curls and with what seems to be glitter that can be seen when she turns her head. She has green eyes, a small amount of makeup, and light blue shades on her head that she won't be needing in another hour or so. And, under this light, it's pretty clear that the shirt Kirito picked up belonged to her, as she's wearing the exact same colors and everything with it.]
You, uh... wanted to talk to me?
[Halley lets out a sigh, one hand moving up to rub at her neck.]
I really don't want to do this. Believe me, I don't. You're so sweet - You're the sweetest guy I know, and I think you're great, and I just - [She winces and bites her lip, the fingers at her neck curling.] I wish this could be easier.
[Yep. "We need to talk" really are dreaded words, and Clay looks about like he knows where this is going. He looks a bit stricken, and he reaches his hands up, only to drop them slightly, like he's unsure what he should be doing.]
Halley, what are you...
[Finally, Halley looks up at him, and she looks so sad about what she has to say.]
We need to break up. You're sweet, and I still love you so much, but... You're so bad at paying attention to what's important. And - And I know, your dream is so important, and I hope you accomplish everything you talked to me about doing. But you need to focus on this, everything that's in front of you, not... what's up in the stars.

And of course he'd have the Worst Timing Ever and stumble upon an awkward break-up scene. Bad enough to witness this sort of thing with anyone, but when the person is someone you hardly know?
Unfortunately, he's here now, and as it seems to be Clay's memory, he's stuck here. All he can really do is awkwardly glance away, trying (but failing) not to listen too closely.]
