[Wow. That was... weird. She can't quite make sense of it all. She stills a moment, trying to fit the pieces together in her head.]

... This woman in the photo. What's so bad about her...?

Her name is Mystique. [He slumps sadly over his food.]

She's one of the mutants who... aren't so good. And want domination over humans... and she's attacked and betrayed us X-Men so many times. Once, she even blew up the mansion...

[She tries to imagine that for a moment, from her own perspective. How would she feel, if she found out tomorrow that the parents who gave birth to her were Separatist spies? Even though she barely remembers them... it would still be upsetting.]

What-- even though you're her son?

[digthefuzz]

Y-yeah.

...I mean, she never attacked me directly! [He says with a slight perking up, as if that makes things so much better.]

But... That was the only time she tried to talk to me. About... that.

I don't really know the situation all that well, but... it sounds like she has some issues of her own, to be honest.

[digthefuzz]

...Right. I think so, too. But...

...I never got to find out.

[resnipstance]

[Uh oh. The dreaded past tense.]

... Oh. Did she... die?

[digthefuzz]

[He pauses and he closes his eyes. The lights in the room dim and a chill runs in the air.

The sounds of splashing waves and shattering stone are faintly audible for a few moments. And Kurt gives a soft nod.]

[resnipstance]

[She walks over to Kurt then and sits at the table next to him. She isn't as good as Kurt about initiating hugs, so she reaches for his hand instead. If it isn't still holding food, anyway.]

... I'm sorry.

[digthefuzz]

[Aw. He will indeed have one three-fingered hand, and some warmth returns to the room as she grips it. Kurt gives the light shadow if a smile.]

...Thank you.

[resnipstance]

[She just sits there for a while, holding his hand and letting the words stay there as is, without needing any extra explanation. There are no words that make that sort of thing better, Ahsoka knows. So it's enough, she thinks, to just let him know she's here with her presence.]

[digthefuzz]

[It is enough. He even stops eating while she's holding his hand, and he smiles warmly for the moment.]

... Do you mind if I stay here for a little bit longer?

...Knock yourself out. I've got no problem with that. [And he appreciates the company.]
