I guess. I hate doing that, though. I hate saying things I don't mean. If you lie, then you have to keep track of all the lies anyway.

So I always just say I don't know what stuff is. I had a friend at home named Delta. He was always nice about explaining things to me.

Whenever I do that, they just look..sad. I don't like that.

[ Doesn't like being the reason the expression shows up in the first place. It feels like a failure, and he still has trouble stomaching it. Failure isn't written into his programming with positive results. ]

Yeah, they do. [She sighs.] I don't like it either.

I got really lucky at home. My partner... Maine. He doesn't ever give me that fucking look. But he like... he gets it. He got really fucked over by his old outfit. Run by crazy scientists.

I think if there's like one person around that doesn't give you that fucking look, it's just. It helps, I guess.

It sounds like it would. It's good that you have a partner like him.

[ Winter hadn't been so lucky before the Marsiva. He shifts where he stands, his form flickering a few times before stilling once again. He debates upon whether or not he should show her something else, or they should wait it out. ]
