Sweet dreams are made of these...
( for A-M characters )
Before you post your topcomment, please:
1. Check the first letter of your character's name as its written in our tags. A-M names comment here, and N-Z names go to the other post.
2. Make a note in your topcomment if anything especially triggering or graphic might show up in the Calibration. If you're not sure if something's worth noting or not, we suggest listing it anyway, just to err on the side of caution.
3. Put your character's name (it can be shortened or different from the tag, this time) in the subject of your comment. This will help visitors find you easily, and help us update the list below.
4. Post your comment! It's fine if everyone's Calibrations end up looking and reading very different from one another. As long as you're having fun and following our guidelines, you're good to go. :)
5. If you have any questions or concerns during Calibrations, you are welcome to send them towards the mod team at any time, as always.

She's okay, she's very welcome here. Lucky her. ]

I'm going to take a look around.
[ She stands up straight, observing the room again. There are a number of objects to look at, but she's first drawn towards the set of eight dolls on the book shelf. ]
One of them is missing a head...
[ Just thinking aloud... ]

You don't like this one? It... looks familiar.
[ Elize vaguely recalls having another dream earlier, where there was a man that looked similar to the doll. She'd seen him around on the fleet, but never really spoke to him.
She reaches out to examine the headless doll. ]

"By now you must see what an injustice the templars are," he says.
This again. You groan inwardly. He keeps trying to make you see this from the mages point of view, knowing you absolutely never will. He may as well be speaking to one of the walls. Your companions ahead of you don't stop, but their shoulders hunch in a combined wince, knowing what's coming.
"Must I?" you ask cocking your head to one side, refusing to turn to look at him. "I see templars trying to control what they have good reason to fear."
"But they go too far," insists Anders, clunking the base of his staff onto the cobblestones for emphasis.
"Talk to Hawke about his mother," Hawke drops his head and you almost regret your words, but you continue regardless. "Ask him who went 'too far'."
Anders lets out a sharp exhale.
"You can't hold all mages responsible for that!"
"It doesn't take all mages to cause this," you are tired of pointing this out, that you have no vendetta against them all, only the ones who do not understand how dangerous they can be. "Only the weak ones."
You walk in silence for a moment, concentrating on the feeling of cold cobbles on your bare feet. Probably should wrap them at some point, before the snow comes. It wouldn't feel right, though, wouldn't feel-
"Not all mages are weak," counters Anders eventually.
You sigh. Still this. Does he EVER stop?
"True. Bethany, for instance, is not weak."
Hawke perks at the mention of his sister, you can see the smile at the corner of his mouth. It DOES happen, on occasion. Merrill looks a little put out you didn't mention her, but what does she expect? She knows how you feel about her.
"You specifically don't mention me," Anders points out, moving to walk beside you.
"That's also true," you reply, a smile playing across your lips, happy to see him rattled.
"I'll prove to you that I'm not weak!"
You finally turn to him, the almost smile turned into a sneer.
"Prove it to yourself, you're convincing no one else."
You storm on ahead, hoping that maybe some bandits or something will come so you can release some anger on something.
[The city fades and Elize is once again in the room. The wolf still sits nearby, though he gives an annoyed HUFF and lays down with a grumbly sort of sound. Seriously, fuck Anders. ]
gee who could you be talking about Elize...
[ That goes without saying. It didn't take her long to figure out whose memory she's experiencing. She's reminded of her first meeting with him when the subject of magic came up and how scary he looked. Except unlike Anders, she doesn't press any further conversation about it. Now she just avoids the topic altogether. ]
Cullen... [ She lets Cullen's name slip from time to time, despite already accepting him as her new father. Using his new title is something she's still getting used to, but she corrects herself. ] Daddy told me how mages are feared in Thedas and why they have to live in towers. He said there was a mage who tried to change things, but innocent people were killed. And there was a war.
[ The wolf's grumbling gives her the hint that he dislikes the doll, but she doesn't quite have the pockets to tuck it away in. She turns the headless doll over in her hands once more before placing it back on the shelf, though further away from the other seven. ]
GEE GEE
Good job moving the doll though. ]

...I guess you like the other ones better.

The wolf growls, unsettled, walking in a circle a few times before sitting down.]

Is something the matter?
[ Hearing the growl, she turns away from the shelf and bends slightly to look at the wolf. ]
I won't touch the other dolls if that's what you want.

These people... is this Fenris's family?
[ Of course she doesn't mean by blood. ]
