Are you a travel-weary passenger having trouble keeping your crew roster straight? Perhaps you are a fresh new recruit, finding themselves dumped into a new (and much less shiny) home. Or, maybe you've been around for a little bit and just haven't bothered meeting the other weirdos on this ship yet--what is their problem, anyway?

All new passengers from the last few Shuffles, especially those who haven't met their crews yet, are welcome to post starter-comments here to invite those living on and visiting your ship to come and interact. Newbies could be just arriving on the ship, busying around where others can find them, or you can offering multiple options for interaction--however you'd like to set up your thread is fine. Just make sure to include the name of your ship in the header, so your crewmates can easily find you!

Is it quite normal to forget your entire first month here? I remember a handful of utterly miserable days, and then I went to sleep last night and woke up at least a few weeks later with a horrible chill and only the faintest idea where I was.

[The wry English voice with its rambling, verbose speech patterns may be familiar to some, but she really didn't last long before succumbing to whatever it was, so not many. After a pause, she speaks up again.]

Of course it doesn't sound anything close to normal for anywhere at all, but this is the galaxywide forced reality television labour camp which kidnaps people from across the multiverse, so I did think that asking before I panicked would be the wisest thing.

[Well. At least she knows her job now; she did learn that much before whatever happened to her. But despite being in the right place to make sure everything is in ship (so to speak) shape and monitor for incoming messages/await outgoing ones she's meant to make, she's doing none of the above. In fact, she's tinkering with what formerly earthbound folks may recognize as something very close to an iPhone, but with the subtle but suspicious wrongness of a knock-off. If she knows everything and all there is to know about communications devices, she's convinced that she can get her phone from Eudio (which was powered by the force of cuddles) to work here, at least well enough to show the photos she took - it'd be the utmost foolishness to think she could phone home from here, but all she wants are her photos. Surely she can achieve that much.]

Blast it... [It's not the first time she's muttered a curse for all to hear and it won't be the last. They're just not the same technology, not the same sorts of bits and pieces she knows how to manipulate. She huffs out sighs, slams down tiny tools, and gets more and more agitated as it becomes clearer that she's out of luck.]

After a day spent hunting down his best friend, flying one of the shuttles and eating more food than he thought he would when he'd seen how weird it was, he was pretty content.

Plenty of people had told him to get accustomed to the ship, so here he was - doing just that.

Celeste's outburst was enough to make him stop as he passed the door toward the kitchen, leaning around the door again to stare at her.]

Naruto had worked it out pretty quickly.

After learning about the other ships and that he would get a chance to have a 'place' on one of them, only to find out that of all things he was able to fly the things, he'd struggled to sleep. The excitement of actually being on board one of the ships was almost too much for him, but like everything else, he didn't let it get him down.

Ten minutes on the ship and he'd already successfully located the cockpit, and is more than happily sitting in front of the controls. It's where he'll stay... until someone decides to question him about it.

It's probably better to do it sooner, rather than later - because he's planning a course for the SS Huntress.

[Dezel is pretty used to being ignored. However, now that there's new people on the ship, he has to give up the little square of bunk space he'd been hiding in. While invisible. Look, some people on this boat are Really Annoying.

Regardless, he's here to creep on people, especially if they're new. He's trying to judge what the hell is up with Naruto. Normally this would mean introducing himself, but instead he's just... hovering behind him, casting a long shadow and being generally as intimidating as possible.]

You sent this to everyone? I would think your sensory abilities wouldn't fail you so quickly but my ship is currently docked at the station.

[ He even turns his own camera to show a sunny street courtesy of the artificial light and heat source above, sitting at the 'outdoor' restaurant he's frequented several times now since arriving here. ] And I'm not on it.

If you want to see this place and your ship isn't docked, you should take one of the shuttles. Your augment can help you figure that out, can't it?

[If there's one thing she couldn't get over it's the difference between the Marsiva and the Heron. And after the meal she had earlier she's hesitant to try anything else not even the tea in the drink dispenser.

Which means Ai is hanging around looking more than a little awkward now that she's been beamed aboard, and definitely out of place.]

[When Shinji isn't hiding in his bunk, under layers of blankets, he tends to wander silently throughout the Heron. He must be the ship's resident ghost at this point. He's about as pale as ectoplasm, with dark, sunken eyes, slightly greasy hair, and all the vacancy of the dearly departed. He doesn't know where his friends went, but that doesn't matter right now. He's just wandering.

And, like an incoming freight train, he doesn't deviate from his predetermined path. He shuffles along... and shuffles... and keeps on shuffling... until he's seriously about to walk straight into Ai. It's like he doesn't even know she's there.]

[ Someone is always on the lookout for new faces, especially since he discovered he can now encrypt his conversations in and out of the ship, so there's a comms officer on board. ]

This place just keeps getting more and more absurd, doesn't it. Micah is singularly unimpressed by the musical accompaniment to finding himself beamed aboard the Vanquish, scowling as he brushes confetti out of his hair, and that scowl doesn't actually leave his face as he wanders in through the corridors to explore the ship and meet his new crewmates, either. He may look mean, and he may seem gruff at first, but give Micah some to adjust and he will (ahem) mellow out.

Once he reaches the medical bay, it becomes quite clear to Micah what is the purpose of the implant behind his ear, and he sighs loudly, saying (to himself, he thinks) in an irritated tone, "You've got to be kidding."

As Micah walks through the halls of the ship, he may come across a giant suit of armor. This particular suit of armor was animated... and currently playing tug-of-war with a white fox, clutching one end of a rope toy.

"Hehe... come on, Cosmic, you can do better than that!"

Because if not, Katie's going to steal it. And then creep around the ship after you while eating, trying to work out who you are and where you're from and inventing all kinds of stories which probably aren't as bizarre as the real one.]

Eugene had been making his way around to the medical bay for the usual post-work painkillers, and just caught that aggravated exclamation as he rounded the corner. It wasn't exactly a quiet entrance - between the arm brace crutch and the C of metal that stood in for his left foot, his gait rolled through a three-beat syncopation as he passed the new face and made his way right to the drawer where they kept the basic pills and potions.

"If they're kidding, it's taking a hell of a long time to get to the punchline." He casts a sympathetic look back and offers his free hand. "New to the ship?"

This is actually only the second time Kaworu's been back to the Vanquish since departing for his friend's ship and deciding to just hang around there instead. His engineering augment hasn't made him particularly loyal to his ship, and he doesn't mind being an interloper to the Heron if it means keeping Shinji from total despair. His best friend's shattered state is largely Kaworu's own fault, so he feels guilty enough to do anything.

Still, he's found it prudent to pop back in here and there in order to get things like clothes and hygiene products... which is exactly what he's doing now. With his arms full of nondescript space stuff — jumpsuits, toothpaste, the like — Kaworu happens upon Micah as he approaches the medical bay with the purpose of pilfering the store of sleep aids. Though he honestly could not care less about his alleged responsibilities to the Vanquish, Kaworu likes people, and this is one he hasn't met before... so he's wholly friendly, even familiar, despite the fact he hasn't been around at all since Micah's arrival here.

"Hello," he says pleasantly. He's a slight boy with a chalky complexion, though he manages to seem healthy rather than sickly. His face looks like it was created specifically with kindness in mind. "We haven't met yet. Oh, would you mind me moving past?"

Wandering the other way down the hall is Clay, hoping for some munchies in the kitchen after a good amount of paperwork. But when he catches sight of Micah, he pauses, a bit surprised to find someone new here (since, again, their ship isn't big enough, why Atroma why), but that quickly turns into a warm, welcoming grin as he changes his path to greet the newcomer instead.

"Hey there," he said, tone friendly and even a bit excited, "You new here?"

Though Rogue has been spending most of her time on the space station, she does check in with the Vanquish once or twice a day. The tell-tale chocolate pudding and leftover confetti is a clue she can't quite miss. Great, another one?

Did Atroma bother to expand their capacity this time?

Scowling a little and doing mental calculations of supplies needed, Rogue set out to look for her new crewmate.

[ Leto shed some of his formal clothing, remaining in a plain white button-up shirt and pants. The clothing chafes against his skin, but he can't run around shirtless until his crew was used to his presence.

Time for his exercises. He places a hand on the floor and pushes his body into the air. Good. Now to slowly pull away his fingers. Completely upright, he rests his body in the air as it puts all the weight on his three fingers. ]

[The only thing that's weird about this is that whoever the hell this guy was, he was doing it in the middle of the ship.

Naruto pauses in front of Leto, crouching down and resisting the urge to push him.]

[She's met most of the crew by this point, but somehow it escaped her that Leto was even on their ship. He is a fairly recent shuffle, to be fair, but it still points to her not spending enough time out and about. Too much brooding about either at the communications deck or in her quarters.

That's not who she is. She needs to snap out of it, fast.

When she does come across Leto, it's quite by surprise, and while he's obviously in the middle of something. For a moment she considers just walking by and leaving the proper meeting for another time, but somehow what he's doing captures her interest and holds it; he is a god, so who's to say how he's doing it (and little wonder that her gift has no effect on it) - still, it's oddly entrancing. Reminiscent of something in her past, like so many things about him are.

He can feel free to call her out: she's pretty blatantly just watching at this point, without making a single attempt to dress it up as something else.]

[ she seems to be the only on on board capable of handling the place ( they twisted my head just right, she thinks but keeps the thought well hidden in her mind. they have access to literally everything else but everything else can be manipulated.

she lets fingers hover around the surfaces, looks into things she should not know but does. it is a good twist, she thinks, a manner to help the ill and do good, what more could the audience want than the beautiful girl who would assist those who need her?
