[The plain white underwear and sports bra hanging on the bushes might warn someone away from this bubbling spring... or they might entice them onwards, depending on their character.
Hange has chosen a pool with water hot enough to make her sweat, easily in view of the woods. She's also chosen a seat in the pool that affords her a view of the trees. Her glasses are propped up on her head, because the lenses steam up instantly, and she's flushed from the heat of the water... very flushed. All the way down, ahem.
Still, for the moment she's quiet, occupied more with staring off at the woods (though they're more a fuzzy green blob with areas of color varying between dark and light) speculatively. So curious... how does it make these illusions? At least she feels assured now, when she offered the idea to Zhas that the music was drawn from his own head, that she was correct. But how did it do that? And from so far away?
She'd be easy to sneak up on, she's so deep in thought, but not easy to scare. She's pretty relaxed right now though.]

Thus, he finds himself stepping out onto the planet to ease his mind. The lush forest is welcome after the confines of the ship, and he breathes in the scents of life. Earth or not, it fills him with a kind of peace he's been missing since he arrived in the fleet, and his feet set to wandering.
Eventually he comes across the spring, either by insight or the siren signal of the underthings hanging on the brush. He's not trying to sneak up on her or even keep out of sight. That would assume he had either shame or a sense of propriety, which he doesn't. He does wait until he gets up the edge of the water until he speaks, however]
Penny for your thoughts?

She knew that someone coming across her was quite likely. As such, she prepared herself for the eventuality, at least on a mental front, and only glances towards Michael with a grin. She can't see very well without her glasses, but the vague features and voice recognition are enough -]
Well, well, well... look who it is.
I'm just wondering about the secrets of those trees. [As one does.]
no subject
Funny thing about trees. They're good at keeping secrets. [Which isn't to say he's wondered that too]
no subject
She looks thoughtful at his words...]
Funny thing about these trees... I feel like they might be able to be a bit more proactive than most. Have you explored the forest at all?
no subject
[He looks down at his shoes, then back to Hange] What about the trees?
no subject
They're quiet mysterious. You'll see if you venture into the woods. [A brief flash of toothy smile.] Strange visions...
no subject
What did you see?
[He hunkers down at the edge of the pool and tests the heat of the water idly]
no subject
[The water's hot enough to steam. Hange is flushed all over from it. She watches him idly.]
Not real, in the end, it seems. But they were made to appear quite convincing...

The subject of the war you were fighting?
[He only knows she's a soldier and that the war was going badly, but not what it was about]

[The coat comes off next, which he takes the time to fold neatly as he talks. The doesn't seem to take care of much, but he babies the damned coat.]
How do you fight them?

[this loser is in a completely different pool, but they're close enough that he can (and does) float up to the edge and lean lazily on the natual stone division between them. he lets his chin rest on his arms, very relaxed. and very pale, wow.]
I'd say "fancy meeting you here", but your presence here doesn't seem statistically unlikely.
no subject
Well, well, well... if it isn't the charming Captain Robin.
[Hur hur.]
Yes, there are many charming hot springs to enjoy in the open air. And we seem to be the only ships on planet. I wonder why that could be?
no subject
I'm running a bet with someone else. I said cultists, he said sirens. What do you think?
no subject
[She was just chilling, sitting with her back against the rock wall and gazing off towards the forest. Now she gets up and bunny hops through the water - it's quite deep - and folds her arms on the rock lip so that she's sort of perched, but her body is free to float. The water's deep enough for it. It all reveals an athletic backside and more weird callus patterning, but she's not thinking about that so much as turning Robin's question over in her mind.]
It's pretty interesting, isn't it? [She doesn't know what sirens are, really, but...] We do seem to have been lured in. I am assuming everyone on your ship heard music too.
no subject
Yeah, we did. I'm sure there will be some sort of negative repercussion of this later.

Quite right.
Have you wandered off in the woods yourself, Robin?

[he glances up, over at those trees...]
What'd you find when you went in there?
no subject
Some titans... none of them real, fortunately. Some various other things...
