Nami

[personal profile] namisan 2016-05-04 07:36 pm (UTC)(link)
BALLROOM:

[Nami has barely ventured out on the moon at all; between the toxic air and the frustrating knowledge she could probably help at least temporarily if she had the damn climatact-- oh, and that pesky two week coma and all-- she's more played the waiting game and stayed on ship and spent a lot of quality time on the Iskaulit instead.

But this is a party. And she'd never turn down a party.

She arrives in a flowing, dark dress with lace trim and a glittering purple and gold mask, sweeping immediately across the floor toward the wine and then mingling with the guests, glass in hand, and divides her time between catching up with people she knows and flirting lightly with the locals. If she chooses ones that seem wealthier than others, that's purely coincidence. Shh.

It's pretty obvious it's Nami despite the mask. That orange hair is a little hard to miss.]

MUSEUM:

[It's sad that such beautiful plant life has to be considered a museum, but that doesn't make it any less soothing. When she tires of the party and wants to take a break where it's quieter, she can be found here, mask perched on the crown of her hair so she can get a better look at the leaves and flowers, taking note of how they're maintained.

This moon must have been so gorgeous once.]

((ooc: overflow comment from here! New taggers welcome; I'll do my best to not vanish this time))

FDR

[personal profile] namisan 2016-05-04 07:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, I see. Whereas we pirates are always incredibly fair. It's our downfall.

[The spin is a little unexpected but in a fun kind of way. She's already grinning a little as he pulls her back against him, following his lead with grace.] You've been to these kinds of things before, I see.
namisan: (absent thinking)

Wanda

[personal profile] namisan 2016-05-04 09:23 pm (UTC)(link)
True. Though for me, finding the familiar all the way out here in space is kind of nice, too.

[She straightens.] I wish I could help clear the air here.
notmutantbutmiracle: (Muted response)

[personal profile] notmutantbutmiracle 2016-05-09 08:14 pm (UTC)(link)
[Wanda nods her head in agreement.]

You are not the only one. There are several in the fleet who wish very much the same.
namisan: (casual)

[personal profile] namisan 2016-05-09 09:11 pm (UTC)(link)
I hope they have better luck. [She's heard some people talk about terraforming, but the only kind she knows how to do is through weather science. Which is not something she has access to here, and if the problem does come from the land it's not going to be effective.] It's tragic this moon could go from having all this wildlife to... what they have now.

notmutantbutmiracle: (Muted response)

[personal profile] notmutantbutmiracle 2016-05-09 10:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Perhaps it was a natural progression. My world back home, there is a lot of talk about the climate, the atmosphere, and how man is destroying nature. This... [She takes a look around them.] may very well be a bleak vision of a potential future.
namisan: (so unsure)

[personal profile] namisan 2016-05-10 10:59 am (UTC)(link)
[She glances at Wanda.] That sounds pretty alarming. I really hope not. You're from Earth, right? [Or one of them.]
notmutantbutmiracle: (Muted response)

[personal profile] notmutantbutmiracle 2016-05-15 11:28 pm (UTC)(link)
[As if reading Nami's thoughts, Wanda quickly responds.]

One of them, at least. It seems there are other versions of Earth out there. Some of them that I have been told look much like this moon.
namisan: (hmm this requires great thought)

[personal profile] namisan 2016-05-16 02:17 am (UTC)(link)
So... maybe they could all end up like this. [If it's a progressive thing. That's sad to think about. Sam comes from Earth as well, but he's never mentioned anything like that, so it's probably just worst case scenario thinking.]

I hope not. You'd hope some would have the knowhow to turn it back around.
notmutantbutmiracle: (I can read him...)

[personal profile] notmutantbutmiracle 2016-05-16 07:35 pm (UTC)(link)
[Wanda smiles a soft little smile at that.]

Perhaps. There is always hope. There are plenty of very intelligent people back home that I doubt would simply sit back and let it happen.

Remy

[personal profile] namisan 2016-05-05 11:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Not quite. I don't make a habit of them-- we're not usually off ship long enough. But I've been to a few celebrations in my time. [She grins.] The dancing's usually a lot more raucous than it is here.

Once at a palace, formal occasion. So...I don't know. Enough to know I like them.
cajunspice: (>D)

[personal profile] cajunspice 2016-05-06 07:28 am (UTC)(link)
Oh yeah, did hear ya be a, [Remy then paused, not knowing if this was the right term and not wanting to start off on the wrong foot with Nami. Then again, he was already in the middle of saying it, may as well go all the way.] Pirate. [Which... was so cool. Really, it was a thief on the water, how could it not be cool?]

Formal dancin' got it's place, [Remy kept going, pushing past his previous comment.] But oui, gotta say, do like a bit more 'nformal type. Though I do a mean waltz, if I say so m'self.
namisan: (cheeky grin)

[personal profile] namisan 2016-05-06 10:48 pm (UTC)(link)
[Not to worry. Her grin only gets wider when he calls her a pirate. She'd ask how he knew, but she's a bartender and tells everyone at the drop of a hat, it's not hard.]

You're certainly better at it than a lot of people I see here. Though in fairness, there's a lot of places out there the waltz probably doesn't even exist.

So you know what I do for a living. How about you? [Let's be fair, here.]
cajunspice: (>))

[personal profile] cajunspice 2016-05-07 01:14 am (UTC)(link)
Why thank ya cherie, very kind of ya. [It was said as Remy moved them both into a turn, a slight pause of step afterwards before continuing to move in the dance again.

And that question, it was always a tough one back home, typically answered with the normal line of 'security'. It wasn't a lie, most just assumed it was on the side of helping secure things, not take them. Yet considering where he was, who he was talking to, Remy didn't have to do it. The main question however, how much to play it up? Saying a thief didn't really suit, not quite. A typical thief broke into homes, stole tvs, picked pockets, small stuff. Prince of Thieves also was a bit too much, truth or not.]
'm a master thief.
namisan: (oh romeo romeo)

[personal profile] namisan 2016-05-07 11:05 pm (UTC)(link)
You don't say. [Though despite the casual response, her eyes light up. Always fun to meet potential partners in crime, especially in places like the Fleet.] I hear pirates and thieves can get on amazingly well. Have a lot of common interests.

[She keeps step with ease, shifting her hand on his arm just a little higher.] Do you have a specialty, master thief?
cajunspice: (>D)

[personal profile] cajunspice 2016-05-09 09:08 am (UTC)(link)
I do say, [His tone light, joking, making sure to not take stuff too serious despite a serious topic.] 'nd can't say I have run 'nto too many pirates before, so ya certainly settin' a great first 'xperience for me.

I'm... [How to put this?] More towards a jack of all trades, master of none, at least compared to others I have worked with. [Remy's brother had a brilliant mind when it came to working out a plan, his cousin Lapin a computer and technology genius in ways Remy didn't even bother to try and understand.] Some might say I specialize in pullin' it off when things just go to hell.
namisan: (yeah I know I'm good)

[personal profile] namisan 2016-05-09 09:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Sounds like you're halfway to being a pirate yourself, in that case. [She's going to keep the conversation light herself, because it's a party and not the best time for more serious topics. Specially not when they're easily overheard.] Things tend to go to hell on a regular basis for us. [She grins.] My captain's not so great on the planning side.
cajunspice: (>))

[personal profile] cajunspice 2016-05-11 10:10 am (UTC)(link)
Ah, I see, more just fly by on the seat of ya pants, hein? [Despite his words Remy was actually a planner, going over every little details ten times over before he committed to a job. But he also had a way of getting through when things went south, able to wing his way out of bad situations. He would say it was having Lady Luck on his side, and Remy was smart enough to know he had been damn lucky to get out alive of some of the worse situations he had gotten himself into. Yet he seemed to just keep putting himself in such places, clearly he was addicted to the life style.] That can be fun, when it works.

ME

[personal profile] digthefuzz 2016-05-09 03:36 am (UTC)(link)
[Continued from here!]

[With that comment about pirating, Kurt jokingly pats at his pockets just to make sure.]

Well, that's good to hear! I'm having a great time, too. Some drinking, some dancing... Now this is a party! [He even sways a little to the music as he speaks.]
namisan: (bring it)

YES YOU

[personal profile] namisan 2016-05-09 09:15 pm (UTC)(link)
[Nami snickers outright at the pocket checking.]

You can relax. Generally I only steal from pirates.

[Which is of course why she cleaned out the casino on the space station. She has a very loose definition, okay.]
digthefuzz: (hello there)

[personal profile] digthefuzz 2016-05-09 11:25 pm (UTC)(link)
[He shrugs.]

Well, how do you know I'm not secretly... um... the Dread Pirate Wagner?
namisan: (picture of innocence)

[personal profile] namisan 2016-05-10 10:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, well I suppose you could be. Do you want me to treat you like one?
digthefuzz: (sheepish)

[personal profile] digthefuzz 2016-05-17 01:36 pm (UTC)(link)
[He quickly waves his hands in denial.]

Wait... No, scratch that! Just... treat me like a normal fuzzzball instead?
namisan: (plot with me)

[personal profile] namisan 2016-05-18 04:06 am (UTC)(link)
If you insist. [Hee.]

How's your dancing skills, fuzzball?
digthefuzz: (pure chillaxation)

[personal profile] digthefuzz 2016-05-26 04:54 pm (UTC)(link)
They're off the charts! [Of cheesiness.]

You... wanna see for yourself?
