[You know what? You're getting a look for that Winn. Because of course you just hurt Sascha's feelings and while apparently threatening to kill him is fine and appropriate the other is not. Then she turns to look at the vampire.] Hey, he's just adjusting to this idea. I'm sure he knows that people change and have their reasons and context for their past if there is a past, and that they deserve second chances. He wouldn't be with me if he didn't. And you don't want to hurt anyone, right, Sascha?

[ he nods quickly, confirming that he would definitely not do that. He wants to be liked and be around people more than anything--hurting them would put him worse off in that regard than he already is. ]

[ he's filled with guilt and confusion at that look - there's a clear difference between the two in his mind ok - sascha's got blood pills and he looks like he wouldn't hurt a fly, not if given a choice. that's kinda different from someone who proudly proclaims he was 'super bad' - that doesn't sound repentant, you know? doesn't sound like someone who didn't have a choice, who did it to survive.

but that doesn't matter right at this second - he'll talk this out with kitty later on their own, try to understand who that guy is. what matters right now defusing the situation. ]

Yeah, no, I don't think you're bad - I mean some people hurt people too, and it's not like they have to do it to survive - you got your blood pills, you're - clearly a good vampire and that's awesome!

[ he needs coffee. ]

[His girlfriend was talking about herself in there too. It's not like she hasn't killed as well, so she can be kind of on edge around this sort of thing. But she just doesn't know enough about Bigby. She doesn't trust him, but she doesn't trust anyone she just met. She doesn't even entirely trust Sascha. There's so much about him she doesn't know, but she's taking him at his word that he is who he presents himself to be the way she does for most people. It's a luxury. She can afford to do that because she has training and powers and friend with training and powers. Winn only has that second part if something goes wrong.]

See, all good. [She idly pets Sascha's hair.]

[ And just like that, he goes from surprised and taken back, to briefly surprised and preening under the attention. It only takes a moment for him to get over it and lean into her hand, making a pleased sound--and Kitty should feel honoured, because that's more than he's managed with anyone else who initiates contact of the affectionate kind with him rather than the reverse. Between the gravity ball and the dance lessons he's become much better at handling it without having his chest squeeze itself into a tight ball of emotion.

His heart still skips a beat of course, but he doesn't latch onto her or anything. ]

...all good. [ better safe than sorry, right? his own chest is filled with stress, like he just realized he's walked into a mine-field. he doesn't want to upset kitty, that's step one on the road to losing her. he needs to collect himself, so he pushes himself off the bed again. ]

I'm -- gonna get some coffee. Anyone want anything? [ because sleep is not about to be had. not by him, at least. even if sascha went home right now, and kitty went back to sleep, he wouldn't be able to do it. ]

So, definitely no more sleep? [Abandon all hope coffee. It's a special brand!]

Are you okay? [She wouldn't normally ask this with company, but it's Sascha. Speaking of, is that what's wrong? Is it because she's touching him? She didn't mean anything by it. She withdraws her hand from the vampire and looks at Winn.]

Oh, oh! Raw steak...! [ If...if you know, he's going for stuff and taking orders. He can't very well ask for blood comfortably with them here. maybe with Bigby, but they both know it wouldn't come from the Fable.

He doesn't think about Winn's discomfort, because he honestly isn't used to thinking about anything like. Most people back home for him are pretty uncomfortable around him by default. He doesn't even flinch when Kitty pulls back, although he does look at her. ]

Yeah - [ he tries for a reassuring smile. in the still mostly dark room, it's easy to miss that it doesn't quite reach his eyes. ] fine, you go ahead - I'm just too awake now.

[ turning his gaze back to sascha. that's gross but he's spared from dealing with it because space food is terrible. ]

I can do chicken-ish protein cube?

Okay. You're coming back, right? [It is easy to miss. Especially since she's still sleepy herself. She's still a little concerned, but she won't press right now.]

Even if we had that you would not be eating it on our bed. [Yes, she just called it "our" bed. She definitely means hers and Winn's though for the record.]

[ Are you sure you don't mean you, Winn, and him Kitty? Because that would be swell. ]

Awww... [ Both to the no eating in the bed, and the protein cube option. ] I can't eat that stuff. I get sick.

Where am I gonna go? [ he says it jokingly but really, it's true. much as he'd like to hole himself up in kara's office right now and work on plato or any of his other projects - they're all the way on the tourist, and he wouldn't just leave her like that in the middle of the night. maybe he could grab a seat in the med bay and work out some theories - margaery probably wouldn't mind, right? but not until kitty's asleep. not after she asked that. he doesn't want her to worry. ]

Sorry - [ and he genuinely is ] it's what we got. Ah...right? [ it's what they have as far as he knows but kitty might know something he doesn't, it's her ship after all. ]

[It sounds a little against his will that way, but like he'll be back at least.]

That's Bigby's! [ And SHOCKER OF ALL SHOCKS, not only does he remember it, but he also knows better than to go after it. Makes you wonder what the Big Bad Wolf does to get his brain to work, huh? ]

Ok so -- just the coffee for me, then?

[ unless someone asks for anything he can get -- he's going to exit stage right before he falls down another conversational pothole. ]

Yeah, I'm good. Thanks. [She watches him go before looking at the vampire.]

Sascha, go home. [Her voice isn't annoyed like before. Just gently commanding.]

[ It's precisely the tone she needs to sue to get him to listen. Of course he gives her a look first, something akin to longing because he hasn't spent nearly the amount of time with her that he wanted, but. Hot!mom has spoken, and she did pet his hair. That's a pretty big...win.

Okay~ [ It's more enthusiastic this time around, and it's even accompanied by a short wave--and you know what? Sascha even reaches out like he maybe wants to touch her back in some way as a goodbye, but...he can't think of a good gesture to make, so he just lets it hang for a moment before dropping it back to his side and scooting off the edge of the bed. ]

I'll show you my teeth when you come visit!

[She was curious to see what he was going to do so she just waited for it until he dropped his hand and then she reached out to take it and give it a squeeze.] Sounds good. I'm glad you're feeling better.

[ Oh man...alright, that one he wasn't prepared for. It takes him a moment to squeeze back, but when he does it's obvious he's incredibly touched and happy about it. ]

...Does that mean we can do dance lessons again?
