[If anyone ever had a doubt that Tyrion Lannister likes to keep himself occupied, today would be the day that he put all doubts to rest. His fingers flick against the side of his camera as he is reaching for a book. Which is good, because he's got three open now. He frowns at one paragraph, then pushes off with his chair - with wheels, fascinating things these.

Then he was picking up a screwdriver, turning to a tank that looked a great deal like the displays at the Green Museum, twisting a brace into place, eying it, then rolling back across the floor to check on the panels for the engine. He picked up a clipboard, put down the screwdriver and exchanged it for pencil while he marked off a few things on a list, then pushed himself off to roll back to his desk, where he flipped a page on his second book, muttering quietly to himself.]

'This means that the center of mass of the arrow–where gravity acts–is further forward than the center of pressure–where aerodynamic forces act. This results in the aerodynamic forces helping to stabilize the flight of the arrow.'

[He tapped the page, then pushed off again to his work-table, where a variety of weapons were lying on the surface, and plucked up the bow.] Yes, all right, that means I just need to change the density of the string and curve the bow a little more for the right amount of pressure per inch... good, good.

[He hummed as he put the bow back down, and reached underneath for his toolbox, singing softly to himself as he went through the varying strings he had gathered for said bow.]

[Clearly, Tyrion is something of a workaholic, when he gets himself going.]

...Yes. I doubt that pizza that tastes of poison would be delicious to anyone. [Now that would have been something. Joffrey choking on one of those poison bread and sauce and cheese delights.]

Well, let's see. I can show you our kitchen, or our hospitality suite. We haven't gotten many upgrades yet, but we are working on it.

[No bedroom?] A hospitality suite? That sounds so fancy.

It is rather fancy ... and I can show you my own workstation. Or my bedroom - but alas, it is not much.

I haven't done much with mine either. I am trying to get us an upgrade to bigger rooms though. There might be room for something then. It would probably benefit me if it were a warmer, happier space even if I do spend a lot of time on the Tourist.

Workstation sounds good.

Then you ... will want to be following me down here. [He tilted his head, down into the bowels of the ship, and down a steel ladder. He led her down into his workspace carefully, mindful of his legs as he came to his feet at the bottom.]

Mind yourself - I have ... well. A lot of full tables. [And he was not joking about that. He had three tables there with different projects, and one part just for the daily maintenance of his ship.]

[She enters carefully looking around with interest.] I'll do my best to not accidentally stab myself with an arrow. What is all this? [Since it's obviously not all arrows.]

Swords. Knives. There were guns but after more extensive research ...I agreed with Furiosa and Clint - they were not a safe weapon for a space ship.

[He gestured to another table.] That particular one is for my greenhouse project - after seeing the Green Museum I wanted to try building one for every ship. Right now I am simply working on the frame and the power source.

[He nodded at the third table, which was covered with books, and clipboards.] That is where I record all my data for the ship - and do my research.

Mm, yes, guns aren't ideal. [She picks up a knife, turning it over in her hand.] Are you guys planning to attack the other ships or something? What is this all for? [Leave it to her to get claws made right away just so she could judge other people for being armed.]

Absolutely not. I am planning on attacking whoever the Atroma send after us. I'll happily give everyone this fleet a weapon as long as they don't stab me in the gut.

We're the pets. They might not send anyone after us. But I guess we've already had that conversation. [It turned to orgies.]

You should hang out with Kurt. [By which she means you probably shouldn't. They'd have a bunker in no time.]

Does Jon know you make swords? He was looking for one when he arrived.

He does ... but he is very independent.

[She just gives a non-committal shrug.] Meaning he wouldn't ask?

We are a complicated gender, I must say. [He pulled himself up into his stool, giving her a wry little smile.]

I guess so. [She sets the arrow back down.] Lots of archers around. I'm surprised that kind of thing holds up in actual battle anymore.

I am surprised as well -- but my friend really wanted to have her own bow back.

I guess weapons can become very familiar to you. I feel naked without the claws. Vulnerable in a way I don't approve of.

I would feel the same way if I had some sort of head injury. We all want to keep our best weapons with us.
