Wrath | OTA | From July 8 onward
[The minute Wrath is released from the confines of the medlab and allowed onto the surface of the planet, she is On A Mission. That mission is: to make as much money as she can. Since she's still not allowed much physical activity, she does the one other thing she's good at: she paints.
Find her on the beach with a little booth set up. She used her allowance from Captain Vision to buy local painting supplies, and is producing some excellent landscapes (both true-to-view pictures of the seaside and far more fanciful ones) and doing quick portraits and caricatures for anyone who will pay her.
At the end of the day, she packs up everything to haul it back to the Windrose for the night. She still seems to be sleeping on her ship unless someone else is paying for her lodging for the night, and packs her meals in with her as well. She's not wanting to spend any money at all.
Want a picture? Want to be a good samaritan and help her carry all of her stuff? She'll be glad to see you!]
B: Rest Time
[Since she is still recovering, she'll occasionally take a nap in a beach chair in the shade, or be eating her pack lunch somewhere with a nice view. All company is very welcome! Wrath's in a better mood than ever, being out on her own two feet and no longer needing a cane.
And there's only so many hours a day someone can do good quality work, so she'll be around, looking at whatever sights she can see for free and getting to know the local kids. She really likes kids. She often has her new fluffslug riding around in the collar of her jumpsuit.]
C: Hot Springs
[She takes a day here and there to go to the hot springs after being reminded enough times that it's good for her physical recovery. Expect her to be soaking in the hottest pool she can find, probably without bothering with a bathing suit. People just get so weird about that stuff.
Though she does find it very odd that she now has a few actual scars. This is a new thing for her...]
D: (Closed to close CR) ATTACK OF THE CAREBEAR
[Okay, but before she does anything else? She's tracking down all of her closest friends--ideally wanting to surprise them--and aggressive hugging and/or cuddling will commence. She's happy to see you guys.]
E: Wildcard
[Other idea? Thread we talked about regarding the magic tree or something terrible involving mead? Let's go for it.]
D, of course
Re: D, of course
BEVERLY!
[Hug tackle from the side!]

I see someone is feeling better.
no subject
And Kurt is being very strict at me so don't worry.
no subject
[She gives Wrath a little squeeze.]
How are you liking the planet so far?
[Beverly loves it, loves the people here, even if it makes her a little homesick for Deanna and heartsick for Daneel. Wrath may pick up small flashes of memory of them, mostly their faces, Deanna's big smile and Daneel's quieter, enigmatic one.]

B
That must mean she's better, now. He hadn't gotten a text that she was up, but that's on him, too. He hadn't asked after her.
It's a relief to see her out of that bed. It had scared him to death seeing her so frail. As he gets closer, he doesn't see her cane lying nearby, so he wonders if she needs it at all. That's something else entirely new. Winter plops down in the sand next to her chair, setting his book on his lap. ]
So, since I found you first, does that mean I get something now?
Re: B
Winter!
[Wait a--]
What? Um? I guess that's fair? What do you want?
[Oh no!]
Does this mean I don't get a hug because you found me before I found you? [TRAGEDY.]
no subject
[ He didn't really have anything in mind, anyway. ]
no subject
Okay!
[She hasn't actually hugged that many people on the planet yet; she's not really up on the implications of it. And even if she were, she wouldn't care. This is Winter. Best friend, here.
She gets carefully off her beach chair, though she's moving just fine, with no pain at all. And here comes the hug, Winter. Frontal assault hug, hope you're ready for a lap full of bikini-clad pink menace.]

Natasha doesn't see any reason to avoid her, and she's not shy about bathing suits.]
Hey. Fancy running into you here. [She raises her brows slightly.] You don't mind if I join you?
no subject
[Since technically she's not 'Captain Romanoff' any more, no need to make it awkward.] Sure, the water's great.
It's good to see you! What ship did you get assigned to?
no subject
[Natasha sinks in until the water is over her chest.]
Vanquish. Though I haven't spent a whole lot of time there yet.
The crew seems... young.
no subject
Huh. I don't know much about the Vanquish. So at least it means they don't have any major, splashy fuckups on their crew.

like a creep.]Hallo darling. Almost done for the day?Re: A&E kinda; yeah, about that sleeping on ship thing..
[Good to see him, as always.]
Yeah, I'm just packing up. Did you have a good day?
no subject
Mind if I come with you while you take that back? I could carry some of it for you.
no subject
Of course I don't mind! And that would be great. I mean, it's not that heavy and I'm allowed to lift it all, but I want you to feel useful. [Wink.]

Locked to Kurt and Charles
One of those times, she decides to try the local alcohol, since she's finally allowed to drink again--being on no major medications really helps. The mead arrives in a wine glass, and it's very pretty, amber-colored, though she looks at it for a long time, trying to place the color precisely, wondering why she feels uneasy.
Probably nothing.]
Cheers!
[The first sip bursts over her tongue and washes through her in a strange wave; the taste feels like it's going straight up the back of her throat and into her eyes, down her nerves, into her brain. And the sweet, sticky taste is like tar that pulls her under, fills her mouth so she can't scream, can't do more than widen her eyes slightly. She has just one split second to feel the first flutter of alarm and panic, and then something deeply ingrained and not-her slides into place.
Ready to report.
Automatically, she sets the glass down, sits back in the chair, relaxed. She isn't unconscious; her eyes are still open, she blinks, but she doesn't track movement, goes loose and limp and is completely unreactive if moved. Wrath isn't home any more. The not-her that remains simply waits, with infinite patience.
Ready for orders.]
no subject
This would be difficult. While Winter's mind had its own problems, it didn't possess the holes Wrath's did. Charles wasn't even confident he could patch those. But he had to try. ]

Hold, he tells them, strengthening them with her memories of the Fleet. Those were solid. Real. And most likely, not subject to the corrosive taste of conditioning. ]

Meanwhile, earlier in the evening:

Kurt glances over his shoulder, in case something she'd seen had provoked that reaction. Seeing nothing unusual, he rises from his chair and walks around to her's.] Wrath. Wrath, what's wrong?
